ENDOSCOPIC CANNULA
A cannula comprising a hollow tube made of a biocompatible, thermoplastic polymer, memory shape material, tipped with an injection needle or an electrode at it distal end, assumes desired shapes as it distally emerges from a lumen or channel of an instrument such as an introducer or endoscope. The desires shapes include a curvature conforming to an inverse tangent function. The cannula may be supplied alone, with or without an injection needle or electrode, and in a sterile pouch, for use with a device of a user's choice that has a suitable lumen or channel to guide the cannula, of the cannula may be used without such an instrument. The injection needle can be shorter than conventional to thereby inject medication only or primarily in submucosa and can be sharpened only or mostly at it distal end while the remaining portion of a bevel is not sharp, to thereby reduce the size of an opening the needle makes in tissue and helps keep the medication from leaking out of the injection site.
INJECTION PEN WITH DIAL BACK AND LAST DOSE CONTROL
A medication injection pen comprises a dose set knob rotatable with respect to a housing to set a desired injection dose. The dose set knob comprises at least one internal thread. A leadscrew includes a thread element for advancing in a first direction via a corresponding thread engagement. A driver is rotationally fixed to the leadscrew and is rotatable in a first direction to rotate and advance the leadscrew in the first direction. The setback member is rotationally fixed to the driver. The dose stop member is rotationally coupled to the setback member and is axially movable relative to the dose set knob when the dose set knob is rotated relative to the setback member. Axial movement of the dose stop member limits the user from setting a dose that is greater than an injectable volume of medication remaining in a cartridge.

INJECTION DEVICE WITH A PRESELECTOR
An injection device includes an elongated housing extending along a longitudinal axis and having a distal end and a proximal end, a dose tracker being at least one of translationally or rotationally displaceable relative to the housing and being displaceable between a zero dose positional state and a maximum dose positional state relative to the housing, the positional states indicating a dose, wherein one of the elongated housing and the dose tracker includes at least one tracking stop feature, and a preselector displaceable relative to the housing between at least two preselection positional states thereby defining the maximum dose positional state of the dose tracker, wherein the preselector includes at least one preselector stop feature configured to mechanically engage with the at least one tracking stop feature to block a displacement of the dose tracker beyond the maximum dose positional state.
Drive Mechanisms Suitable for Use in Drug Delivery Devices
A drive mechanism suitable for use in drug delivery devices is disclosed. The drive mechanism may be used with injector-type drug delivery devices, such as those permitting a user to set the delivery dose. The drive mechanism may include a housing, a dose dial sleeve, and a drive sleeve. A clutch is configured to permit rotation of the drive sleeve and the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are coupled through the clutch. Conversely, when the dose dial sleeve and drive sleeve are in a de-coupled state, rotation of the dose dial sleeve with respect to the housing is permitted and rotation of the drive sleeve with respect to the housing is prevented. In the de-coupled state, axial movement of the drive sleeve transfers force in a longitudinal direction for actuation of a drug delivery device.
ALTERNATIVE DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING A DOSAGE WITH A LIMITING MECHANISM FOR A DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A PRODUCT
Dosing device for an administration device with a limiting mechanism containing: a dosing sleeve with a first stop and a stop wheel with a second stop means adapted to continually and proportionally follow a movement of the dosing sleeve during dosing movements. During an ejection movement, there is no relative movement between dosing sleeve and stop wheel. The first stop and the second stop each describe a path curve by their movements such that the two path curves intersect in one point and the stops contact one another and tilt the stop wheel, thereby blocking the dosing movement of the dosing sleeve. The stop wheel comprises first and third sloped surfaces that may form first and second gear guidances with a clutch thereby returning the stop wheel to a non-tilted position during up or down dosing movements when the stops do not contact another.
Fixed dose injector pen
A fixed dose injector pen is provided that includes a transmission element that is rotated to set and deliver a dose of a drug from a multi-dose cartridge. A circular ratchet defines a small number of engagement positions around its circumference and selectively transmits the rotation of the transmission element to a piston rod driver. The circular ratchet transmits the rotation of the transmission element to the piston rod driver only when the transmission element is rotated in a dose delivery direction, and only if the transmission element has previously been rotated in an opposite, dose setting direction through an angle sufficient to reach one of the engagement positions. An axially moving injector element can be used to drive rotation of the transmission element via a helical coupling. When the piston rod has advanced to a predetermined axial position, a last dose lock-out mechanism maintains the circular ratchet in engagement.
VARIABLE DOSING SYRINGE
A syringe includes a dosage setter operatively coupled to a plunger rod and comprising a rotatable body that comprises a set of one or more stops for engaging the set of one or more protrusions of the plunger rod depending on at least a rotational position of the set of one or more stops relative to the set of one or more protrusions, wherein a first rotational adjustment associated with the dosage setter is configured to set a first dosage increment by adjusting a relative axial position between the rotatable body and the plunger rod, and a second rotational adjustment associated with the dosage setting assembly is configured to set a second dosage increment that is larger than the first dosage increment by adjusting a relative rotational alignment between the set of one or more stops and the set of one or more protrusions.
A Device for Attachment to an Injection Device
A supplementary device configured to be attached to a drug delivery device, the supplementary device including: first means being adapted to mechanically couple the supplementary device to a dosage selector of the drug delivery device; second means being adapted to select a dosage to be delivered by the drug delivery device; third means being adapted to mechanically couple the second means to the first means such that a dosage selection made with the second means generates a torque being transferred via the third means to the first means; a sensor configured to output signals indicative of the generated torque; and electronics configured to receive the signals output from the sensor and to determine based on the signals the selected dosage.
