ADJUSTABLE DOSE DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM
A drug delivery system is provided that has an adjustable dose mechanism allowing setting and locking the dose then administration of the set dose. A method for administering a medicament using the drug delivery system is also provided.
SYRINGE AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING A LIQUID
The present invention relates to a syringe for dispensing a liquid, the syringe (1) comprising: a barrel (10) including a first end (12) and a second end (14) opposite the first end (12), wherein said barrel (10) is provided with a discharge opening (18) at or near said second end (14) and wherein at least one first chamber (26) is defined inside said barrel (10), with said first chamber (26) for receiving said liquid to be dispensed through said discharge opening (18), wherein a plunger (28) is received within said barrel (10), wherein said plunger (28) supports an element (30) that is both translationally movable with regard to the barrel (10) and translationally movable with regard to the plunger (28), wherein the movement of aid element (30) is controllable independently from the movement of said plunger (28), and to a method.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device includes a housing. The housing contains a syringe, and the syringe includes a container containing a liquid medicament. The container includes an aperture at a distal end and through which the liquid medicament can be dispensed. The syringe includes a stopper within the container. The stopper is moveable between a first longitudinal position and a second longitudinal position relative to the container, to cause dispensing of the liquid medicament through the aperture. The syringe includes at least one identifying means identifying the liquid medicament.
Double-chamber mixing syringe and method of use
Described is a syringe housing at least one removable carpule containing at least two injectable solutions and having a mixing chamber for mixing two injectable solutions during administration of the solutions, and methods of using the syringe.
Drug delivery device with dose knob clutch
An assembly for a drug delivery device and an associated drug delivery device are provided. The device has a drug delivery device housing and a medicament contained in the drug delivery device housing. A clutch is established between the dose knob and the dial link to prevent inadvertent proximal axial movement of the lead screw away from the cartridge piston, which can lead to dosing inaccuracies.
INJECTION DEVICE COMPRISING AN IMPROVED DELIVERY ELEMENT
An injection device having a delivery element with an inner thread may be driven by rotation and includes a cylindrical outer wall region, which is substantially smooth. Such features provide a delivery element configured such that it is less intimidating to patients than known threaded rods, and may facilitate easy cleaning. The delivery element may be non-rotatably guided and axially spring-loaded, and may be inserted axially into the housing when the reservoir is replaced. The driving thread element for the delivery element may be mounted in the vicinity of the distal end of the housing.
SYSTEMS, KITS AND METHODS FOR LOADING AND DELIVERING A SMALL VOLUME DOSE FROM A SYRINGE
A kit is disclosed for accurately loading a small volume dose of a medication within a syringe and for delivering the small volume dose of the medication at a treatment site. The kit generally includes a loading and delivery system in accordance herewith, a syringe, and a medication. The loading and delivery system includes a syringe delivery ring and a syringe loading guide, which may be used for example, to administer a small volume dose of a medication at the end of an ocular surgery.
Pen-Type Injector
The present invention relates to injectors, such as pen-type injectors, that provide for administration of medicinal products from a multidose-cartridge and permit a user to set the delivery dose. The injector may include a housing, a piston rod adapted to operate through the housing, a dose dial sleeve located between the housing and the piston rod, and a drive sleeve located between the dose dial sleeve and the piston rod. The dose dial sleeve may have a helical thread of first lead and the drive sleeve may have a helical groove of second lead. The first lead of the helical thread and the second lead of the helical groove may be the same.
Injection device having a dose indicating element that can be moved relative to a housing
A driving and dosing device for an injection device configured for dose setting and dose administration includes: a housing, a dose indicating element including a circumferential dose scale, a pointing device and a dosing element gripped by a user. In order to set the dose to be administered, the dosing element is rotatable such that the dose indicating element is rotatable or screwable about an axis of rotation relative to the pointing device, and a value of the dose scale that corresponds to the set dose is readable by means of the pointing device. A bearing element, with which the dose indicating element is in an engagement, causes the rotational or screwing motion of the dose indicating element relative to the pointing device, characterized in that the bearing element can be moved together with the dose indicating element relative to the housing and along the axis of rotation.
