The invention relates to a medical injection device having a polymeric housing or housing parts. The housing comprises a moulded outer housing element and a moulded elongated tubular inner housing element. The elongated tubular inner housing element is formed as one unitary element and carries a pointer and one or more projections in predetermined and correlated positions. The pointer points to indicia on a scale drum and the projections engage the scale drum. The outer housing element is moulded over the elongated tubular inner housing element in a 2K moulding to form one single housing component.

A medication delivery device is disclosed including a rack-and-pinion plunger drive system. The drive system includes an output drive having a pawled end movably coupled with the ratchet teeth of the plunger, and a pinion drive coupled between the housing, the output drive and an actuator. Actuator is longitudinally movable between dose set and delivery positions. Movement of the actuator causes rotation of the pinion drive along the rack to translate the output drive member with the pawled end that is engaged with the plunger ratchet teeth to distally advance the plunger. The device may include one or more of an end of dose mechanism to limit travel of the actuator, a load brake system to stop travel of the plunger under high input forces, a dose detection system, and a dose selector to vary the amount of dose set.

Injection device comprising an improved delivery element

An injection device having a delivery element with an inner thread may be driven by rotation and includes a cylindrical outer wall region, which is substantially smooth. Such features provide a delivery element configured such that it is less intimidating to patients than known threaded rods, and may facilitate easy cleaning. The delivery element may be non-rotatably guided and axially spring-loaded, and may be inserted axially into the housing when the reservoir is replaced. The driving thread element for the delivery element may be mounted in the vicinity of the distal end of the housing.

A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a tubular member, a dose drum, coaxial with the tubular member, and being axially and rotationally movable relative to the tubular member, a stop member, coaxial with the tubular member, and axially movable but rotationally locked relative to the tubular member, and further being axially jointly movable with the dose drum, wherein the stop member has a first stop element and in that the dose drum has a second stop element, and wherein the first stop element and the second stop element are configured to interact with each other to limit rotation of the dose drum to a predetermined angular interval.

Dose setting mechanism for priming a drug delivery device

A method and system for priming a drug delivery device. The drug delivery device includes a dose dial sleeve and an internal housing portion. The dose dial sleeve is coupled to the internal housing. The dose dial sleeve rotates on a substantially circumferential rotational path during priming of the drug delivery device. Further, the dose dial sleeve rotates on a helical path during dose setting of the drug delivery device.

A system for injecting includes a syringe body, a syringe interior, a syringe flange, and a stopper member and an injectable fluid disposed in the syringe interior. The system also includes a plunger member coupled to the stopper member. The system further includes a finger flange removably coupled to the syringe flange, the finger flange defining a pair of side openings and a pair of bumps adjacent respective side openings. Moreover, the system also includes a swing spacer rotatably coupled to the finger flange, the swing spacer defining a pair of arms, a pair of pivot pins, two pairs of slots, and a pair of indentations. The swing spacer is configured to define a distance of movement of the plunger member relative to the syringe body along a longitudinal axis of the syringe body, thereby defining a dose of the injectable fluid.

Injection pen with dial back and last dose control

A medication injection pen comprises a dose set knob rotatable with respect to a housing to set a desired injection dose. The dose set knob comprises at least one internal thread. A leadscrew includes a thread element for advancing in a first direction via a corresponding thread engagement. A driver is rotationally fixed to the leadscrew and is rotatable in a first direction to rotate and advance the leadscrew in the first direction. The setback member is rotationally fixed to the driver. The dose stop member is rotationally coupled to the setback member and is axially movable relative to the dose set knob when the dose set knob is rotated relative to the setback member. Axial movement of the dose stop member limits the user from setting a dose that is greater than an injectable volume of medication remaining in a cartridge.

An assembly for a drug delivery device and an associated drug delivery device are provided. The device has a drug delivery device housing and a medicament contained in the drug delivery device housing. A clutch is established between the dose knob and the dial link to prevent inadvertent proximal axial movement of the lead screw away from the cartridge piston, which can lead to dosing inaccuracies.

Hand-held drug injection device and dose setting limiter mechanism therefor

The present invention relates to a drive mechanism of a drug delivery device for dispensing of a dose of a medicament, the mechanism comprising: a housing (20), a piston rod (120) extending in an axial direction (1, 2) to operably engage with a piston (14) of a cartridge (12), a drive sleeve (90) rotatably supported in the housing (20), at least partially enclosing the piston rod (120), the drive sleeve (90) is operably releasable from the piston rod (120) for setting of a dose and the drive sleeve (90) is operably engageable with the piston rod (120) for dispensing of the dose, a dose limiting member (130) threadedly engaged with the drive sleeve (90), rotatably locked to the housing (20) and being displaceable in axial direction (1, 2) in response to a rotation of the drive sleeve (90) relative to the piston rod (120), at least one stop member (124) provided on the piston rod (120) to engage with the dose limiting member (130) for impeding a further displacement of the drive sleeve (90) relative to the piston rod (120), when a maximum dose configuration has been reached.
