AGENT DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
A medical device that includes a handle for conveying an agent having particles and a receiver having a first lumen defined by a first end and a second end. The receiver having an axis extending between the first end and the second end. The first end configured to receive the particles from the handle, and the second end in fluid communication with a second lumen having a cross-sectional dimension smaller than a cross-sectional dimension of the first lumen. Each of the cross-sectional dimensions of the first lumen and the second lumen is measured transverse to the axis. The second end is configured to receive the particles from the first end of the receiver. The second lumen is configured to control delivery of the agent to a delivery conduit in fluid communication with the second lumen based on sizes of the particles.
Extrusion device and composite delivery system
A new type of syringe for delivering composite material for direct application of the material in the mouth of a patient. The new type of syringe includes a threaded screw for driving a piston through the syringe in order to extrude the material from the end of the syringe. The extrusion force is thus generated in the syringe, thereby allowing for a simpler, less costly motorised driving system using a torque driving movement. The syringe also includes a localised heating arrangement at the extrusion end.
Medicament delivery device with delivery finish signal delay
A medicament delivery device is presented having a housing with a distal and a proximal end, the housing being adapted to receive a medicament container with a delivery member or with a connectable delivery member for delivery of a medicament. The device also has a drive mechanism arranged to act on a plunger rod, which plunger rod in turn is arranged to act on the medicament container for providing automatic delivery of the medicament and a hold-release mechanism interactively connected to the drive mechanism for releasing the drive mechanism from a biased position. A delayable signal generating mechanism generates an audible and/or tactile and/or visual signal indicating that the medicament has been completely delivered, which delayable signal generating mechanism is operably connected between said pre-tensioned drive mechanism and said plunger rod.
Medical injection assemblies for onabotulinumtoxina delivery and methods of use thereof
A medical injection assembly is provided and includes an introducer with a handle, a sheath, and a scope lumen extending from a first proximal end of the handle to a distal end of the sheath, wherein the scope lumen is configured to receive an endoscope at the first proximal end of the handle and hold the endoscope in a desired position. The introducer includes a cannula lumen extending from a second proximal end of the handle to the distal end of the sheath, wherein the cannula lumen is configured to receive a cannula at the second proximal end of the handle and hold the cannula in a desired position. The medical injection assembly includes a cannula configured such that the distance between the distal tip of the cannula and the axis defined by the sheath of the introducer increases as the cannula is moved in a distal direction.
SYRINGE
The disclosure relates to a syringe, comprising a barrel and a plunger, wherein at least a part of said plunger is longitudinally slidably received in the barrel, wherein the plunger comprises a portion that is provided with at least one series of interspaced plunger formations, wherein the barrel is provided with a corresponding barrel formation for consecutively engaging successive ones of the plunger formations, wherein the syringe is arranged such as to be brought from a first state in which the barrel formation successively engages the plunger formations during slidable displacement of the plunger within the barrel, into a second state in which the barrel formation is held in a position spaced away from the plunger portion that comprises the plunger formations.
Syringe with a first and a second syringe barrel
A syringe includes a first syringe barrel and a second syringe barrel. Each barrel includes a delivery end to which an end piece with a channel is secured, a piston which is arranged movable in the syringe barrel and can be moved towards the delivery end in order to deliver a fluid located between the delivery end and the piston via the channel. The two syringe barrels are mechanically connected to each other such that the distance between them cannot be changed. At least one of the two end pieces can be secured to the allocated delivery end in different positions for adjustment of the distance between the two channels.
Drive mechanism for a medication delivery device and medication delivery device
A drive mechanism for a medication delivery device is presented having a housing, a rotation member that rotates in a first direction with respect to the housing during setting of a dose of a medication and rotates in a second direction with respect to the housing during delivery of the dose, the second direction being opposite to the first direction. The device also has a piston rod that is displaced in a distal direction with respect to the housing for delivering the dose, a drive member which follows rotational movement of the rotation member in the second direction during delivery of the dose, and a stop member which prevents rotational movement of the drive member with respect to the housing in the first direction during setting of the dose.
Injection device having automatic needle retraction
The present invention relates to an injection device for delivering set doses of a liquid drug to a user. The injection device has a scale drum for displaying the set dose, which scale drum is helically guided in a housing. The scale drum is thus rotational in relation to the housing between a zero position and a set position for displaying the set dose. Further, a needle cannula secured to a hub is mounted in an axially movable manner. The axial movement of the hub is generated by a spring. A blocking mechanism interacting between the scale drum and hub controls the axial movement of the hub such that the needle cannula automatically retracts from the skin of a user in response to the scale drum reaching the zero position.
Medication injection system
An automatic injection device is provided, where the device includes a syringe carrier and a retraction assembly. The syringe carrier may include two identical parts that are discrete from one another and interlock with one another. Carrier includes a cushion to support the syringe. Protrusions may be provided on cushion to further support syringe. The retraction assembly includes a shuttle and a follower, the follower having a moveable latch. The follower has a coupled configuration in which the latch is biasedly coupled to the shuttle, and a decoupled configuration in which the latch is in sliding engagement with a curvilinear surface of the shuttle.
MICRO-VOLUME INJECTORS WITH DOSE GUIDANCE AND METHODS FOR USE
Injector devices and methods for using them to deliver medicament into a patient's body, e.g., sub-retinally within an eye, are provided. The injector includes a cartridge including a piston slidably disposed within an interior for delivering medicament within the interior through an outlet, and a driver including a plunger coupled to the piston, a source of pressurized fluid, and an actuator member for opening a flow path at least partially between the source and the plunger to advance the plunger and piston to deliver medicament from the interior. One or more sensors are operatively coupled to the plunger to measure displacement of the plunger, a processor is coupled to the sensor(s) for analyzing sensor signals to measure volume of medicament delivered from the interior, and an output device, e.g., one or more LEDs or speakers, provide outputs related to the volume of medicament delivered.
