System and method for delivery of therapeutic agent through a catheter
11179545 · 2021-11-23 ·

A system and method for delivering a therapeutic agent such as filler materials, biocompatible gels, and other substances through a catheter. The therapeutic agent can be a single component or multiple components that are delivered separately or mixed just prior to delivery or at the delivery site. The system and method use an automated delivery mechanism to maximize delivery of the therapeutic agent to the target tissue and minimize loss of the therapeutic agent within the catheter. The system and method are particularly useful for interventional approaches that deliver therapeutic agents to the wall of the heart.

PLUNGER KIT, SYRINGE KIT, AND PREFILLED SYRINGE

A plunger kit including a piston to be slidably inserted into a liquid medicine storage chamber and a plunger rod to be mounted to the piston, a syringe kit, and a prefilled syringe, in which there is formed, on a tip end of the plunger rod, a mounting part having a shaft part that projects to a tip end side with a substantially constant diameter, an engagement part forming an engagement surface increased in diameter from a tip end of the shaft part in a radial direction and formed substantially perpendicular to an axial direction, and a conical part formed on a tip end side of the engagement part and reduced in diameter in a tapered manner toward a tip end in the axial direction, and a cut-out part obtained by cutting out a part in a circumferential direction is formed on the engagement part.

Syringe

The disclosure relates to a syringe, comprising a barrel and a plunger, wherein at least a part of said plunger is longitudinally slidably received in the barrel, wherein the plunger comprises a portion that is provided with at least one series of interspaced plunger formations, wherein the barrel is provided with a corresponding barrel formation for consecutively engaging successive ones of the plunger formations, wherein the syringe is arranged such as to be brought from a first state in which the barrel formation successively engages the plunger formations during slidable displacement of the plunger within the barrel, into a second state in which the barrel formation is held in a position spaced away from the plunger portion that comprises the plunger formations.

Manually-actuated injection device for high-viscosity drugs

A manually actuated drug-injecting device is configured such that the grip strength of the entire hand (i.e., majority of fingers closing toward the palm or heel of the hand) is employed to discharge medication through a hypodermic needle and into a patient's body. The device is well suited for delivering medications with high viscosity and/or by patients (e.g., elderly patients) with reduced finger strength and dexterity. The device includes a grip member, a push member (which causes the medication to be injected), and a force-transfer mechanism that couples the grip member to the push member. Suitably, the device is configured to be held transverse to the palm of the medication-administering hand, with a discharge port located by the outer, blade edge of the administering hand, when the device is being gripped to administer medication.

SYRINGE-SUPPORT APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE

Apparatus and method for syringe support are disclosed. The syringe-support apparatus may include a front arm and a back arm connected at a hinge mechanism. The front and back arms may comprise a finger grip and thumb grip. A user may employ a well-known scissor-like movement in view of the finger grip and thumb grip, combined with the hinge mechanism. The front and back arms may further comprise a syringe securing mechanism, which may correlate hand motion with a syringe plunger motion. In view of the finger grip, thumb grip, and syringe securing mechanism, respectively, a user may engage the user's forearm muscles during aspiration and injection. The securing mechanism may comprise an adjustable barrel support and barrel support hook to secure a syringe barrel.

Medicine injection device

According to an embodiment, a cartridge driving module comprises a motor and a shaft extending along a rotational axis of the motor, a power transmission screwed to the shaft and moving forward when the shaft rotates in a forward direction and moving back when the shaft rotates in a backward direction, a pusher connected to the power transmission and exerting a pressure to a medicine cartridge containing a medicine when the power transmission moves forward, and a position maintaining unit exerting an external force to the power transmission in a direction along which the power transmission moves forward, when the power transmission moves back up to a predetermined stop position.

Dual chamber syringe and methods of use thereof

A dual chamber syringe, comprising a syringe barrel having a forward end, a rearward end and at least one bypass protrusion arranged along the longitudinal extent of the syringe barrel; a finger grip element coupled to the rearward end of the syringe barrel, the finger grip comprises at least one protrusion extending radially inwardly from an inner surface thereof; a plunger rod operatively coupled with the finger grip element; a guiding track is formed on the plunger rod and comprises a helical track portion and a longitudinal track portion; and wherein upon relative displacement of the plunger rod and said finger grip element, the at least one protrusion is guided along the guiding track.

Reusable automatic injection device

A user-powered medicament injector including a reusable, user-powered automatic injection assembly including a user energizable medicament injection subassembly and a medicament module removably insertable into the reusable, user-powered automatic injection assembly and including a module housing adapted to receive a syringe having a barrel, a needle engaged to said barrel, and a removable needle cap covering the needle; a needle shield configured to be moveable with respect to the module housing and a needle cap remover associated with the needle shield. The medicament module is configured for energizing the user energizable medicament injection subassembly by insertion of the medicament module into the reusable, user powered automatic injection assembly.

Precision low-dose, low-waste syringes and ergonomic attachments therefor

Precision low-dose, low-waste syringe configurations have a reduced diameter lumen for dispensing 0.01 ml increments of contents. Plunger and lumen configurations and a needle interface eliminate dead space. Ergonomic attachments improve the control and precision of delivery of syringes. An attachment main body includes a gripping surface to permit a user to engage the attachment and move the attachment main body, and thus the syringe plunger relative to the syringe barrel using sliding movement. Optical enhancement features are provided on the attachment to improve the readability of gradations and plunger position. The attachment may be provided with an assist feature, which may be a traction wheel mounted on the attachment body. An alternative configuration suitable for syringe contents of higher viscosity may include a pair of toothed pinion gears on a wheel and which cooperate with respective toothed racks formed on or fastened to the syringe body.
