A syringe includes a barrel having an internal surface defining an internal bore therein; a plunger having a distal end disposed within the internal bore of the barrel, and a proximal end disposed outside the internal bore of the barrel, the proximal end of the plunger being opposite the distal end of the plunger along a longitudinal direction; and a dose divider. The dose divider includes a divider flange extending at least partly in a radial direction, the radial direction being perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the divider flange having a distal surface that faces the barrel, the distal surface of the divider flange bearing on the proximal end of the plunger, and a concave shell extending away from the distal surface of the divider flange along the longitudinal direction.

Incremental syringe

An incremental syringe useful for multiple injections of medications like botulinum toxin is provided. The syringe includes detents on the syringe plunger which provide a tactile feeling, a discrete audible sound or click, or preferably both, for every unit of medication aspirated or injected to or from an individual syringe. Hence, there is no need to look at the syringe, or bring it to the eye level, during use thereof. In some embodiments, a second set of detents is included, and in some embodiments a third set of detents is included. Syringe plungers useful for combining with a syringe body to produce such an incremental syringe are also described.

Pen-type drug injector and add-on module with magnetic dosage sensor system and error detection

Add-on module (100) for logging the value of an expelled dose from a pen-type drug injector (200), comprising a magnetic sensor system comprising first and second sensor means (745/746) as well as a mechanical dose setting and expelling mechanism comprising a magnetic clutch element (240/740) which rotates during drug expelling. The system further comprises processor means configured to determine (i) on the basis of measured values from the first sensor means, a rotational position of the clutch element, (ii) on the basis of measured values from the second sensor means, a high-speed condition in which the rotational speed of the clutch element exceeds a given threshold level, and (iii) indicate an error state if the high-speed condition is detected.

SYRINGE GRIP ASSEMBLY

A syringe grip assembly configured to receive a syringe barrel comprises a plunger rod, a syringe grip, and an engagement member. The plunger rod has a ribbed outer surface. The syringe grip includes an activation button segment, and a central opening. The central opening extends through the syringe grip and is configured to receive the plunger rod. The engagement member includes a rod engagement segment that is arranged at a non-normal angle with respect to a central axis of the plunger rod. The engagement member is selectively moveable using the activation button segment between (i) an engaged position, in which the rod engagement segment is in contact with the plunger rod, and (ii) a disengaged position, in which the rod engagement segment is separated from the plunger rod.

MECHANICAL SYRINGE ACCESSORY

Described herein are syringe accessories that can be attached to standard syringes. These accessories utilize one or more mechanisms that can provide at least one additional sensory feedback to the user when performing an aliquot or dosed injection. In other embodiments, the accessories can prevent overdosing.

COMPACT KIT FOR INJECTING LIQUID MEDICATION

An example system for administrating a liquid medication includes a syringe assembly including a barrel portion containing liquid medication, a plunger portion sealingly engaged with the barrel portion to form a chamber for expelling the liquid medication from the barrel portion, and a needle. A ring is positioned about the plunger portion of the syringe assembly, wherein the ring limits movement of the plunger portion in an axial direction as the plunger portion is moved in the axial direction to administer a first dose of the liquid medication. The ring is configured to be modified to allow the plunger to move further in the axial direction to administer a second dose of the liquid medication.

Syringe cradle

A syringe cradle for holding a syringe, the syringe cradle comprising a syringe holder at a proximal end for engaging a barrel of a syringe and a rider for pressing on a plunger of the syringe, a cylindrical body for surrounding the syringe, a distal cap for closing a distal end of the cylindrical body, a stepwise advancing mechanism for advancing the rider along the cylindrical body towards the proximal end, and a stopping mechanism to prevent the rider from moving backwards towards the distal end of the cylindrical body.

THERAPEUTIC AGENT DELIVERY DEVICE

A system for storing and delivering a predetermined amount of fluid includes a syringe including a barrel, a flange disposed at the proximal end of the barrel, and a plunger assembly configured to be received in the lumen of the barrel. The plunger assembly includes a piston and a plunger rod. The plunger rod is removably couplable to the piston at the distal end of the plunger rod and includes a thumb press flange at the proximal end of the plunger rod. The system further includes a stop feature that is removably couplable to the syringe or the plunger assembly. The stop feature is configured to arrest distal advancement of the plunger assembly relative to the syringe when the plunger assembly reaches a predetermined position relative to the syringe. The stop thus ensures that a predetermined amount of fluid remains in the barrel.

Medicament delivery device

A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a locking assembly that reliably and consistently unlocks a dose injection button and concurrently a lead screw when the dose setting mechanism is transitioned from a non-activated state to an activated state. This locking assembly uses a rotating plate having a locking protrusion that engages a radial projecting tab on a rotationally fixed plunger rod nut. An alignment member is also presented that prevents rotational drift of a dosing member.

EXOSTRUCTURE TO ASSIST IN ACCURATE SYRINGE INJECTION

A syringe exostructure includes a main body which removably receives a syringe having a syringe barrel and a syringe plunger. A drive plunger is reciprocatably mounted on the main body, and a plunger bar is slidably received in an axial channel on the drive plunger. The plunger bar is configured to removably couple to the syringe plunger when the syringe is introduced into the main body. A drive pawl assembly is fixed to an upper surface of the drive plunger and transfers forward motion of the drive plunger to the plunger bar as the drive plunger is advanced and disengages from the plunger bar when the drive plunger is retracted. A locking pawl assembly is fixed to the main body and extends through a slot formed in the bottom of the axial channel in the drive plunger. The locking pawl engages the plunger bar and allows the plunger bar to be advanced by the drive plunger as the drive plunger is advanced but prevents the plunger bar from being retracted by the drive plunger as the drive plunger is retracted.
