System and method for syringe engagement with injector
A fluid injector including an injector housing with at least one syringe port for receiving a syringe, and a locking mechanism associated with the at least one syringe port for securing the syringe within the at least one syringe port. The locking mechanism is configured for engaging at least one syringe retaining member of the syringe to releasably lock the syringe within the at least one syringe port. The at least one syringe retaining member rotationally guides the syringe into self-orienting alignment with the locking mechanism and is rotated by the locking mechanism into fully locked position after axial installation of the syringe into the at least one syringe port. The locking mechanism also axially ejects the syringe from the locking mechanism upon rotation of the syringe during removal.
AUTO-INJECTOR AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
An auto-injector may include a container capable of comprising a medicament; a shuttle coupled to the container and on a horizontal path with a first state and a second state; an energy source configured to release energy to translate the container and to translate the shuttle, preferably the energy source is pressurized fluid from a can; an impediment preventing horizontal movement of the shuttle before activation of the auto-injector; and a needle having a first end configured to extend out of the auto-injector, and a second end configured to extend into the container, wherein the second end of the needle and the container are not in fluid communication with one another before activation of the auto-injector.
Drug delivery device
The disclosure relates to a drug delivery device, comprising: a housing to receive a cartridge with a needle and a stopper, wherein the cartridge is movable within the housing so as to cover the needle within the housing or advance the needle beyond the housing, a gas tank containing a pressurized gas within the housing, the gas tank connectable with a cavity for moving the cartridge, a cavity for moving the stopper and a cavity for moving the cartridge, a release member fixed to the housing and adapted to restrict movement of the cartridge relative to the housing in a proximal direction, a membrane between the cavity and the retraction release member adapted to operate the release member if the membrane is deformed by a pressure within the cavity exceeding a predetermined value allowing movement of the cartridge relative to the housing in the proximal direction.
Protector Housing Plastic Spike with Flash Intended for DVO Last Drop Extraction
A device for transferring fluids in a closed system transfer device using flash for last drop extraction and to reduce coring. The device including a piercing member having a distal end and a proximal end and defining a longitudinal fluid channel. A first opening positioned at the distal end of the piercing member wherein the first opening is in fluid communication with the longitudinal fluid channel. A cover or flash positioned over the first opening. The cover including a pre-cut pattern wherein the cover opens along the pre-cut pattern upon application of a distally directed force from the longitudinal fluid channel. The distal end including the first opening having a steep taper to facilitate last drop extraction.
SYRINGE AUXILIARY TOOL
An object of the present invention is to provide a syringe auxiliary tool capable of enhancing the safety during piercing an injection needle. The syringe auxiliary tool includes a housing that houses the syringe and has a contact surface that comes into contact with a living body, a moving part that is slidably attached to the housing in order to switch between an advanced position at which the injection needle of the syringe is located forward of the contact surface and a retracted position at which the injection needle is retracted rearward of the contact surface, a biasing means that biases the moving part rearward, and an operation member that slides the moving part forward.
SAFETY HOUSING BASED IMPLANT/MEDICAMENT INJECTING SYSTEM
A safety housing based implant/medicament injecting system. System includes a needle assembly prefilled implant/medicament for injection and an injecting needle/cannula, a housing for accommodating the needle assembly under usual bias inside said housing, a plunger means having a plunger rod configured for stage wise forward motion including an initial injecting plunger forward motion with the needle assembly within the housing to first engage the needle assembly with the housing and subsequent continuing injecting plunger forward motion independent of the needle assembly for injecting of the implant/medicament, and post injecting return of the needle assembly secured inside said housing blocking any subsequent use thereof.
CARTRIDGE BASED AUTO-INJECTOR
The present invention is an auto-injector for the administration and self-administration of drugs by subcutaneous, intramuscular or intra-dermal injection and for drug solutions or suspensions. The auto-injector may comprise three modules for ease of assembly, the modules principally including a standard cartridge module with stopper and septum, a power source and indicator module that pushes against the cartridge stopper pressurizing contents, an injection progress indicator and a needle shuttle comprising of two needles, one needle being the injection needle and one needle being the septum needle. A needle guard ensures that the needle is always covered thus hiding the needle before and after the injection and that prevents needle stick injurie.
DELIVERY DEVICES FOR THERAPEUTIC SUBSTANCES
In some embodiments, a delivery device includes a device actuator and a cannula portion through which a therapeutic substance is ejected. The cannula portion includes an outer shaft, a needle that is configured to move through the outer shaft, and a plunger that is configured to move through the needle, forming a positive displacement arrangement.
System and method for safety syringe
A system for mixing drug products and injecting includes a syringe body, proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the syringe body, a plunger member, and a needle hub assembly coupled to the distal needle interface of the syringe body. The proximal and distal stopper members form a proximal drug chamber between there between and a distal drug chamber between the distal stopper member and a distal end of the syringe body. The plunger member includes a needle retention feature, an energy-storage member, and an energy-storage member latching member all disposed in disposed in a plunger interior. First and second sizes of the respective proximal and distal drug chambers can be modified by movement of the proximal and distal stopper members relative to the syringe body. The needle is at least partially retractable into plunger interior upon manipulation of the plunger member relative to the syringe body.
INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
An injection system includes an injection system body defining a proximal opening at a proximal end thereof and a distal needle interface at a distal end thereof. The system also includes proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the injection system body, forming a proximal drug chamber between the proximal and distal stopper members and a distal drug chamber between the distal stopper member and the distal end of the injection system body. The system further includes a plunger member configured to be manually manipulated to insert the proximal stopper member relative to the injection system body. Moreover, the system includes a valve forming an openable barrier between the distal needle interface and at least a portion of the distal drug chamber. The valve is configured to allow flow from the portion of the distal drug chamber to the distal needle interface with increased pressure in the distal drug chamber.
