SAFETY NEEDLE DEVICES
The device comprises an elongated needle embedded in a hub equipped with means for connecting the needle with a vessel containing an injectable substance or a vessel for receiving tissue, a housing mounted on the hub, a hollow slider with its first end directed towards the outside of the housing and the second end moving inside the housing and means preventing slider rotation in relation to the housing. The device also includes a longitudinal resilient means supported with its first end against the slider and with its second end against the hub, blocking means stopping the slider's movement in a position most extended from the housing after removal of the needle from the patient's body. The housing features a cylindrical channel in which there is a rotating sleeve and the longitudinal resilient means. The side wall of the sleeve features a linear notch with a start bay and a blocking bay. In the vicinity of the second end of the slider there is at least one pin located transversely in relation to the needle's axis and coupled mechanically to the linear notch in the side wall of the rotating sleeve.
Medical needle
A medical needle includes a needle portion (10) having a needle tip on a distal end, a case (30) configured to be capable of accommodating the needle portion that can be exposed from the distal end side, a movement mechanism (50) for moving the needle portion inside the case, and a movement restricting portion (37) that restricts the needle tip accommodated in the case from moving in a direction opposite to a moving direction of the needle portion. The movement restricting portion maintains the needle tip accommodated in the case such that the needle tip can come into contact with an inner face of the case to restrict the movement of the needle tip in the opposite direction.
Protective device and medical instrument assembly
A protective device, for covering a needle tip of a needle of a medical instrument after puncturing of a puncture object by the needle, includes an inner cylinder, an outer cylinder, and a spring. The outer cylinder receives a cam structure of the inner cylinder and has a guide passage structure that includes one or more guide passages. The outer cylinder is provided with a lateral top part and a distal-end inclined edge part as resistance force generating parts for causing the inner cylinder to generate a resistance force at a puncture position or in the vicinity of the puncture position.
Safe pen needle
A safe insulin pen needle has a structure effectively circumvents the risk of the needle head protection failure caused by the rotation of the insulin pen during the needle pulling process by some users through a first check flange on one side of a first initial fixing position matched with a first elastic clamping jaw. The safe insulin pen needle effectively circumvents the safety risk that the needle tail tends to damage the user through the needle tail protection structure and, at the same time, effectively circumvents the risk that the needle tail protector will rotate and thus the needle tail protection will fail during the separation of the insulin pen from the insulin pen needle through a second check flange on one side of a second initial fixing position matched with a second elastic clamping jaw.
STATE ESTIMATION FOR DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEMS
A flexible and reliable delivery state estimator or evaluator is provided for a drug delivery device. The proposed delivery status estimation architecture includes a position sensor that provides a continuous position sensor signal indicative of a current position of a component of the delivery device movable continuously from a first to a second component position, as well as a position discriminator that redefines the continuous position sensor signal to generate an approximate binary input signal on behalf of a state estimator. The discriminator absorbs any difficulty that may arise from a limited reproducibility or enhanced variability of the original continuous sensor signal, specifically including a user-originated signal spread in a movement of a needle protection sleeve of the delivery device.
Needle assisted injection device having reduced trigger force
An injector includes a trigger mechanism including: a trigger member disposed about an axis having an aperture and a protrusion, and a ram assembly having a ram configured to pressurize a medicament container for expelling a medicament therefrom, the ram assembly further having a trigger engagement member configured to engage the aperture of the trigger member when the trigger member is in a pre-firing condition; an energy source associated with the ram for powering the ram to expel the medicament; and a user-operable firing-initiation member having an aperture engaged with the protrusion of the trigger member and operable for causing an axial translation of the trigger member in a proximal direction from the pre-firing condition to a firing condition in which the trigger engagement member is released from the retaining portion to allow the energy source to fire the ram.
AUTOMATIC INJECTOR WITH NEEDLE COVER
An auto-injector automatically dispenses a predetermined dose of medicament upon activation. The auto-injector includes a needle cover operative to engage an injection site and activate the injector. The needle cover is configured to move from a locked retracted position prior to a medicament dispensing operation to a locked extended position after the medicament dispensing operation. The non-removable needle cover prevents contact with the needle both before and after the medicament dispensing operation.
Safety syringe apparatus
An apparatus for use with a syringe for providing a safety syringe, the apparatus including a sheath (100; 300; 500) deployable for at least partially covering a needle (126) of the syringe; and a sheath actuator (102; 302; 502) for deploying the sheath by interaction with a sheath deployment mechanism (104; 304; 504); the sheath being configured to be stationary in relation to the needle until a syringe plunger (116; 316; 516) reaches a sheath release point on its inward stroke, and the sheath actuator being configured for deployment of the sheath on movement of the sheath actuator relative to the syringe plunger after the sheath release point.
DRUG INJECTION DEVICE WITH VISUAL AND AUDIO INDICATORS
A drug injection device (10) including a housing (12) for holding a container (20) having a needle (24) for penetrating skin and a plunger (42) for expelling a drug stored in the container. The device includes visual and/or audible indicators for indicating that the correct depth of needle penetration has been achieved and that drug injection/extrusion has been started and/or completed. The device may further include a label (140) for visually confirming the quality of the drug contained therein. Alternatively, a tray (110) may be provided for receiving the drug injection device, which allows the quality of the drug contained therein to be visually confirmed.
