Medicament delivery devices
A device for delivery of a medicament from a container (10) having an outlet (16) at a distal end of the container (10) and a stopper (22) for containing the medicament in the container (10). The device comprises a housing (110, 140), a drive element (300) arranged to move in the distal direction to cooperate with the container (10), a drive mechanism comprising a trigger component (200), the drive mechanism being arranged to hold the drive element (300) in a starting position and to move the drive element (300) in the distal direction from the starting position upon displacement of the trigger component (200) from a working position to a firing position, an interlock component (250) received in the housing (110, 140) and arranged for movement with respect to the housing (110, 140) from a first position to a second position, and at least one flexible locking member (214) arranged to cooperate with a stop face (160) associated with the housing (110, 140) to prevent displacement of the trigger component (200) to the firing position when the interlock component (250) is in the first position. Movement of the interlock component (250) towards the second position causes bending of the flexible locking member (214) away from the stop face (160) to allow displacement of the trigger component (200) to the firing position.
Needle cover
A needle protection device (10) for protecting a needle has a needle carrier (12) for carrying said needle (14) and being translatable along a longitudinal axis X between a first, deployed, position (D) and a second, protected, position (P); a shuttle (16) surrounding said needle (14); a hub (24) for receiving the needle carrier (12); a sleeve (26) being rotatable around each of said needle carrier (12), said shuttle (16) and said hub (24); a first driving mechanism (30) between said needle carrier (12) and said shuttle (16) to cause axial displacement of said shuttle (16) in a first direction (A) between a first, retracted position R and a second, deployed position Ds upon axial displacement of the needle carrier (12) along axis X; and a second driving mechanism (32) between said needle carrier (12) and said sleeve (26) to cause axial displacement of the carrier (12) in said first direction (A) upon rotational displacement of the sleeve (26).
Needle Safety Mechanisms
The principles disclosed herein are directed toward needle safety mechanisms in which a needle is mounted in a hub, and a spring-biased safety cap is coupled to the hub. When the safety cap is released from the hub, the spring extends along the length of the needle until the cap is positioned at or beyond the end of the needle. After a needle is used for a procedure, the safety cap is extended to prevent or reduce the chance of unwanted needle sticks.
DEVICE FOR THE DOSED ADMINISTRATION OF A FLUID PRODUCT, ADAPTED FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A CONTAINER
A device for administering a fluid product includes a first housing part with a receiver for the product, a second housing part detachably connectable to the first housing part, a piston rod held such that it can be displaced for the exertion of an emptying movement, an actuatable or releasable drive element for the piston rod, a coupling element including a coupling input element that couples the drive element to the piston rod in a coupling engagement, transmits a driving force of the drive element to the piston rod, and triggers the emptying movement, and a decoupling element displaceably connected to the second housing part and coupled to the first housing part such that it is displaced, by a movement of the housing parts in relation to each other when the housing parts are separated into a decoupling position wherein the piston rod is decoupled from the coupling input element.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a drug delivery device. The drug delivery device includes a housing that has a surface adapted to be placed against a skin of a user during use of drug delivery device, and an attachment mechanism for holding the drug delivery device on the skin of the user. The drug delivery device also has a needle assembly, which includes a needle that protrudes from the surface for delivery of the drug to the user and a shield that surrounds the needle after the drug delivery device has been used. The needle assembly can be detached from the housing for disposal.
Single dose disposable syringe with needle protector
This invention is a syringe having a tubular sleeve protector. The syringe has a barrel with an injection needle and a guide pin on an exterior surface of the barrel. The barrel and the injection needle are in an interior of a tubular sleeve has a spiral guide track on an interior wall. The guide pin fits in the spiral guide track and moves the barrel towards a bottom end of the tubular sleeve as the barrel is rotated, thereby extending the injection needle out of the tubular sleeve. A lateral guide track connects the spiral guide track to a vertical guide track. The guide pin moves from the bottom of the spiral guide track through the lateral guide track to the vertical guide track when the syringe barrel is further rotated. The injection needle is retracted into the interior of the tubular sleeve when the guide pin is moved into the vertical guide track and moved upwards in the vertical guide track towards a top end of the tubular sleeve.
SYRINGE SAFETY CAP AND SAFETY SYRINGE INCLUDING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a syringe safety cap and a safety syringe including the same. One aspect of the present disclosure provides a syringe safety cap including a base portion having a mounting portion to be mounted on a cylinder of a syringe, a link portion rotatably connected to the base portion, a first elastic portion configured to provide a rotational force so that the link portion rotates with respect to the base portion, a safety cover portion rotatably connected to the link portion, detachably fixed to the base portion, and configured to, when detached from the base portion and rotating, surround an injection needle of the syringe, and a second elastic portion configured to provide a rotational force so that the safety cover portion rotates with respect to the link portion.
MEDICAL INJECTION DEVICE WITH A CLEANING CHAMBER
The invention relates to an injection device for injecting a liquid drug. The injection device comprises a housing assembly supporting a non-removable cartridge having an interior chamber containing the liquid drug to be injected and a reusable needle cannula connected to the cartridge. A needle shield assembly provided with a cleaning chamber containing a volume of a cleaning agent for cleaning at least the distal tip of the needle cannula between subsequent injections is further provided. The needle shield assembly is axially movable in a proximal direction in relation to the housing assembly from a first position to a second position upon rotation of at least a part of the needle shield assembly, wherein the first position is a position in which the distal tip of the needle cannula is located inside the cleaning chamber thereby cleansing the distal tip of the needle cannula, and the second position is a position in which the distal tip of the needle cannula is located outside and distal to the cleaning chamber for equalizing the pressure in the cartridge.
