An ear-piece assembly includes (i) an antenna portion enclosing a transmitting antenna configured to send one or more input signals containing electrical energy to a passive implantable neural stimulator device such that the passive implantable neural stimulator generates one or more stimulation pulses suitable for stimulating a neural structure in the craniofacial region solely using the electrical energy in the input signals; and (ii) an enclosure coupled to the antenna portion, wherein enclosure is sized and shaped to be mounted on a helix portion of an ear such that, when worn by a patient, weight from the enclosure is distributed over the helix portion of the ear for the enclosure to rest thereon, wherein the enclosure includes (i) a controller module configured to provide the one or more input signals to the transmitting antenna, and (ii) a battery adapted to provide energy to the ear-piece assembly.
Implant unit for modulation of small diameter nerves
An implant unit configured for implantation into a body of a subject is provided. The implant unit may include an antenna configured to receive a signal, and at least one pair of modulation electrodes configured to be implanted into the body of the subject in the vicinity of at least one nerve to be modulated. The at least one nerve may have a diameter less than about 2 millimeters at a modulation location, and the at least one pair of modulation electrodes may be configured to receive an applied electric signal in response to the signal received by the antenna and generate an electrical field to modulate the at least one nerve from a position spaced apart from the at least one nerve.
HEADSETS FOR POSITIONING ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A headset for positioning an electronic device against a head of a patient includes a flexible frame configured to surround a portion of the head, the flexible frame defining an interior channel and an exterior slot, a curved structure configured to grasp an ear of the patient, the curved structure being movable within the interior channel of the flexible frame for accommodating a size of the head, and a mount including a support base to which the electronic device can be attached, the mount being slidable along the exterior slot of the flexible frame to position the electronic device along the head.

A system is provided for driving an implantable neurostimulator lead, the lead having an associated plurality of electrodes disposed in at least one array on the lead. The system comprises an implantable pulse generator (IPG), the IPG including an electrode driver, a load system for determining load requirements, an IPG power coupler, and an IPG communication system. The system also includes an external unit, which includes an external variable power generator, an external power coupler, an external communication system, and a controller for varying the power level of the variable power generator.
SURGICAL TOOLS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING A NEUROSTIMULATOR INTO THE PTERYGOPALATINE FOSSA
One aspect of the present disclosure includes a delivery tool configured to deliver a neurostimulator into a pterygopalatine fossa of a subject. The neurostimulator can include a body connected to an integral stimulation lead having one or more stimulating electrodes. The delivery tool can comprise a handle, an elongated shaft extending from the handle, a hub portion, and a double barrel sheath. The hub portion can be located between the shaft and a spine member that extends axially away from the hub portion. The hub portion can be sized and dimensioned to releasably mate with the neurostimulator. The double barrel sheath can be connected to the spine member. A central lumen can extend through at least a portion of the shaft and the hub portion. The central lumen can be adapted to receive a lead ejector for selective deployment of the stimulation lead from the double barrel sheath.
Electrode for peripheral nerve stimulation
Devices and methods for peripheral nerve stimulation with an electrode assembly having a lead body with a tapered transition, at least one anchor, and at least one distal lead configured to connect to the lead body are disclosed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREVENTING, DIAGNOSING, AND/OR TREATING ONE OR MORE MEDICAL CONDITIONS VIA NEUROMODULATION
Described are systems and methods for preventing, diagnosing, and/or treating one or more medical conditions. The medical conditions can be ocular and/or neurological diseases, disorders, and/or conditions. The systems and methods can employ a microstimulator that is configured to be placed within an anatomical structure of a subject. The microstimulator can be capacitively linked to an external electronic device to provide neuromodulation to a biological target site proximal to the anatomical structure. The microstimulator can include a body and an electrically conductive insert arranged within the body to create a capacitively coupled link with the external electronic device. The electrically conductive insert can receive a power signal from an external electronic device and convert the power signal to deliver a therapy signal to the biological target site.
