Supplemental device for use with an injection device
A supplemental device comprising: a connector configured to attach the supplemental device to an injection device in use; a sensor configured to generate sensor output dependent on an intensity of light on the sensor and having a field of view directed at a surface area of the injection device in use, the surface area being external to the supplemental device; a light source configured to generate illumination which in use can be directed out of the supplemental device onto the surface area; a shield configured to limit the field of view of the sensor such that the field of view is entirely directed at the surface area in use; and a processor configured to use the sensor output generated when illumination from the light source is reflected from the surface area to determine a property of the injection device.
ASSEMBLY FOR A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
An assembly for a drug delivery device is provided comprising a screw member comprising a thread, the thread including at least two consecutive portions, the portions having different leads. The device further includes a nut member. The assembly is configured such that, in a first portion of the thread, the nut member includes a first position with respect to an axis transversal to the rotational axis and in a second portion of the thread, the nut member includes a second position with respect to the axis transversal to the rotational axis. The nut member is configured to perform a tilting movement from the first position into the second position when the nut member passes from the first portion to the second portion. Furthermore, a drug delivery device comprising the assembly is described.
DOSING SYSTEM FOR AN INJECTION DEVICE
An injection device for dispensing a dose of a product by manually advancing a piston rod includes a dosing and dispensing mechanism having a housing with a longitudinal axis, a dosing sleeve mounted in the housing for adjusting and correcting the dose, a housing insert fixed to the housing and arranged inside the dosing sleeve, and a coupling sleeve mounted in the housing for driving the piston rod. For setting and correcting a dose, the dosing sleeve is rotatable relative to the coupling sleeve, and for dispensing the dose, the dosing sleeve can be coupled to the coupling sleeve in a rotationally fixed manner. In this case, the coupling sleeve has a locking element which can interact with the housing insert so that the coupling sleeve can be rotated in a first direction of rotation and cannot be rotated in a second direction of rotation relative to the housing insert.
Dose mechanism for an injection device for limiting a dose setting corresponding to the amount of medicament left
A mechanism for preventing setting of a dose, which exceeds the amount of a medicament in a reservoir in an injection device. The device can contain a threaded piston rod, a limiter and a driver. The three elements can be arranged such that during dose setting, the limiter is moved towards an end-of-content position, wherein dose setting is limited. The invention contains an accumulative and a non-accumulative embodiment. The invention further relates to a mechanism for preventing ejection of a dose exceeding the set dose.
INDEXING DELIVERY DEVICE
A dispensing device is disclosed which provides for dispensing multiple doses in amounts determined by a movable collar attached to a plunger shaft.
Delivery Device
A drive mechanism for a delivery device comprising a rotator comprising an outer surface and an inner surface, the rotator configured to rotate from a first position to a second position; and a needle cover comprising an inner surface that engages the outer surface of the rotator. An end of injection indication device is positioned at least partially within a plunger rod spring, the end of injection indication device providing a signal to a user of the drive mechanism that an injection has been completed.
Syringe Injection Aid
An apparatus comprises a body having an opening at a first end of the body. A plunger control grip is slidably coupled to a portion of the body circumference and configured to couple to a syringe plunger. The apparatus further comprises a cover pivotably coupled to the first end of the body, wherein in an open position the cover exposes a cavity configured to receive a syringe. A locking mechanism is pivotally secured to the cover, wherein the locking mechanism is configured to prevent forward movement of the plunger control grip when in a locked position and to enable forward movement of the plunger control grip when in an unlocked position. The unlocked position is activated by external contact with the locking mechanism and forward movement is in the direction toward the first end of the body.
Housing for a medical injection device
The invention relates to a medical injection device having polymeric housing. The housing comprises a moulded outer housing element and a moulded ring-shaped unitary element. The ring-shaped unitary element carries a pointer and a thread segment in predetermined and correlated positions. The pointer points to indicia on a scale drum and the thread segments guides the scale drum. The outer housing element is moulded over the unitary element to form one single component.
Button for a drug delivery device and method for assembling a button for a drug delivery device
A button for setting and dispensing a dose of a drug from a drug delivery device is described. The button comprises a plastic component and a metal component, wherein the plastic component is at least partly received by the metal component, and wherein the metal component is configured to be manipulated by a user for setting and dispensing the dose. Furthermore, a method for assembling a button for a drug delivery device and a drug delivery device comprising the button are described.
Medicament delivery device
A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a pinion mounted to a locking member where the axis of rotation of the pinion is offset and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing containing the dose setting components. Primary and secondary dose members are engaged with the pinion to indicate a set dose of medicament.
