Contact trigger release needle guard
A needle guard device mountable to a pre-filled syringe in its ready-to-fill state. The device includes a lock collar and a device shield biased to move relative to the lock collar. The lock collar interfaces with the syringe neck to attach the device to the syringe. With the removal of a needle shield assembly comprising rigid and soft needle shields, the lock collar and device shield are free to move proximally along the syringe neck and interact with a syringe step down area to activate the device. As the device moves proximally, retention arms of the device shield interact with the syringe step down, causing the arms to deflect radially outwards to disengage from the lock collar triggering the device shield to move from a first position to a second position.
SAFETY SYRINGE APPARATUS
An apparatus for use with a syringe for providing a safety syringe, the apparatus including a sheath (100; 300; 500) deployable for at least partially covering a needle (126) of the syringe; and a sheath actuator (102; 302; 502) for deploying the sheath by interaction with a sheath deployment mechanism (104; 304; 504); the sheath being configured to be stationary in relation to the needle until a syringe plunger (116; 316; 516) reaches a sheath release point on its inward stroke, and the sheath actuator being configured for deployment of the sheath on movement of the sheath actuator relative to the syringe plunger after the sheath release point.
Safety Device For A Pre-Filled Injection Syringe
A safety device for an injection syringe including a syringe support, a protective sheath for protecting an injection needle carried by the syringe, the sheath being mounted to slide relative to the syringe support between an injection position in which the needle is uncovered, and a protection position in which the needle is covered, the sheath having an initial grip surface enabling the device to be gripped by a user, and a return spring for urging the sheath into the protection position. The sheath also includes an extender member for extending the initial grip surface and fitted on the sheath in such a manner as to present a larger grip surface, referred to as an enlarged grip surface.
Injection device
The present disclosure relates to an injection device including: a housing; a carrier disposed within the housing for holding a syringe that has a needle at one end; a needle sleeve located within the housing and being axially moveable with respect to the housing between an extended position and a retracted position; a biasing element configured to bias the needle sleeve towards the extended position; and a locking mechanism configured to lock the needle sleeve in the extended position after use of the injection device, the locking mechanism comprising; a first locking member provided on and projecting from the carrier; and a second locking member comprising a deflectable arm provided on the needle sleeve and moveable between a relaxed position and a deflected position.
Automatic Guard For Syringes
A needle guard for a syringe, includes a base portion having a syringe connection for connecting a syringe and a cover portion and a base portion. The base portion and cover portion are engaged to expose the needle in a use position for administering the syringe to a patient, and after use, the cover portion is configured to slide on the base portion to an extended position on the base portion to cover the otherwise exposed point of the needle in a deployed position. A spring is arranged between the base portion and the cover portion to urge the cover portion to the deployed position on the base portion. An engagement arrangement between the base portion and the cover portion latches the base portion and the cover portion in the use position, and after use, in the deployed position.
Safety device for a pre-filled injection syringe
A safety device for an injection syringe includes a syringe support, a protective sheath for protecting an injection needle carried by the syringe, the sheath being mounted to slide relative to the syringe support between an injection position in which the needle is uncovered, and a protection position in which the needle is covered, the sheath having a grip surface enabling the device to be gripped by a user and referred to as an initial grip surface, and a return spring for urging the sheath into the protection position. The sheath also includes an extender member for extending the initial grip surface and fitted on the sheath in such a manner as to present a larger grip surface, referred to as an enlarged grip surface.
Safety assembly for a syringe
A safety support device for a syringe comprises a support sheath for the body of the syringe and an inner sheath suitable for sliding relative to the support sheath between a waiting, retracted position and the extended position for protecting the needle of the syringe. The device has means for holding the syringe body relative to the support sheath and retaining means suitable for being activated to retain g the inner sheath in the waiting, retracted position inside the support sheath and for being deactivated by the piston of the syringe to allow the inner sheath to extend into its protective, extended position.
PREFILLED SYRINGE TRAINING DEVICE WITH RELEASEABLY LOCKING NEEDLE GUARD
Embodiments provided herein include a resettable injection training device having a body, a plunger slidable relative thereto, an injection simulation member and retractable and extendable shield, wherein the shield releasably locks in a retracted position prior to use. After use of the training device, the shield extends over the injection simulation member to prevent contact with the injection simulation member. Resetting of the slidable shield occurs by applying a force onto a distal end of the shield to retract the shield until a shield locking surface interacts with a locking surface on the body to maintain the shield in a retracted position. Release of the shield from a retracted position to an extended position may occur by moving the plunger toward a distal end of the body until a contact region at a proximal end of the plunger releases the shield locking surface from the body locking surface to release the shield.
RESETTABLE PREFILLED SYRING TRAINING DEVICE WITH RELEASEABLY LOCKING NEEDL GUARD
In an embodiment, a resettable injection training device and a method embodiment for resetting the device is provided herein. The device may include a housing having a proximal end and a distal end, the housing defining a cavity there within. A plunger may be slidable relative to the housing between the proximal end and the distal end. A releasably locking shield having a proximal end and a distal end, and being slidably engaged with the housing is also provided. The shield may be slidable between a retracted, pre-use position an extended, locked, post-use position. The device may further include a flat biasing member for locking the shield in the extended position, and a compressing component slidable relative to the housing, wherein pressure on the flat biasing member from the compressing component deforms the flat biasing member, and unlocks the shield, and wherein a release of pressure by the compressing component on the flat biasing member locks the shield in an extended, post-use position.
Safety housing based implant/medicament injecting system
A safety housing based implant/medicament injecting system. The system includes a needle assembly prefilled with an implant/medicament for injection and an injecting needle/cannula, a housing for accommodating the needle assembly under usual bias inside said housing, a plunger means having a plunger rod configured for stage-wise forward motion including an initial-injecting plunger forward motion with the needle assembly within the housing to first engage the needle assembly with the housing and a subsequent continuing-injecting plunger forward motion independent of the needle assembly for injecting the implant/medicament. The needle assembly configured to return post-injecting to be secured inside said housing blocking any subsequent use thereof.
