A needle assembly is disclosed, for use with an injection device. The needle assembly comprises a needle hub (20) having a needle (22) and a needle shield (40) arranged for relative axial movement with respect to the needle hub, between a retracted position in which the tip of the needle projects beyond a forward end of the shield and an extended position in which the tip of the needle does not project beyond the forward end of the shield. The needle shield (40) is axially biased towards the extended position. The needle shield (40) is further arranged to be torsionally biased for relative rotational movement with respect to the needle hub (20).

A syringe (200, 400) for use in a medication delivery device (100) comprises a vial. The vial (201, 411) comprises a chamber (206). The chamber is configured to receive a piston or plunger (205, 416). The syringe further comprises a needle attachment point (202), for the attachment of a hypodermic needle (204). The chamber is offset from the needle attachment point.

An injector device includes a housing for receiving a medicament cartridge; a needle unit comprising a needle; and a first sleeve slideable along a longitudinal axis of the housing from a first position, in which the first sleeve conceals the needle, to a second position, in which the needle is exposed from an end of the first sleeve, the first sleeve configured to engage the needle unit so that, during use, movement of the first sleeve from the first position to the second position moves the needle unit from a primary position to a secondary position, in which secondary position the needle unit locates over an end of a medicament cartridge, wherein the device further comprises a second sleeve arranged to move telescopically with respect to the first sleeve, the first sleeve extending from the second sleeve when the first sleeve is in the first position.

The present invention provides a needle unit (10) for use with a pen injection device, wherein the needle unit (10) comprises a needle shield (50) and an axially movable needle hub (25).

Devices and methods are disclosed for assisting a user of a drug delivery device with an application executing on a mobile computing device. The mobile computing device may receive information from the drug delivery device related to its condition and/or operation and subsequently select an informational and/or instructional prompt to be displayed to the user based on the received information. The mobile computing device may also generate a display in the application including the selected informational prompt and/or the instructional prompt. Accordingly, the user of the drug delivery device can be guided through the drug delivery process in real time, thereby reducing the likelihood of improper or incomplete use of the drug delivery device.

The present invention provides a needle unit (10) for use with a pen injection device, wherein the needle unit (10) comprises a needle shield (50) and an axially movable needle hub (25).

An injection device includes: a housing with a product container in which a stopper with a bearing face can be moved to a stopper end position and which, proximally to the stopper end position, has a minimum product container cross section; a drive configured to move the stopper, which includes a plunger rod with a drive face that contacts the bearing face; a plunger rod guide is arranged outside the product container and guides the plunger rod, with a plunger rod guide cross section adapted to a plunger rod cross section. The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing, a biased medicament delivery member guard arranged movable in relation to the housing from a proximally extended position to a retracted position, a power pack comprising a plunger rod and a force element arranged to act on said plunger rod, which power pack is actuated by a release clip movable in relation to the housing and arranged to said plunger rod for releasably holding said plunger rod with the force element in a tensioned state; a rotator rotatably arranged inside said housing, which rotator is arranged with a guide element and a medicament delivery member guard lock element on its outer surface, wherein said medicament delivery member guard is arranged with release clip activation elements operably arranged to act on said release clip for releasing said plunger rod, and wherein said medicament delivery member guard is further arranged with a rotator activator element arranged to cooperate with said guide element for turning said rotator, upon movement of said medicament delivery member guard to the retracted position, and wherein, upon movement of said medicament delivery member guard back to the extended position, said rotator activator element will engage said medicament delivery member guard lock element and lock said medicament delivery member guard in a shielding position after removal of said medicament delivery device from a medicament delivery site.

A safety needle has a needle base, a puncture needle, and a safety cap. The puncture needle is inserted into a front end of a needle connection segment of the needle base. The safety cap is combined with a front end of the needle base. The safety cap has a needle cap and a resilient member mounted in the needle base. The needle cap is mounted around the puncture needle. Guiding blocks formed on the rear end of the needle cap are mounted respectively in positioning recesses in a housing of the needle base. The needle cap and an outer cap are mounted around the puncture needle, and the puncture needle can be kept from exposure. The needle cap can be locked with the positioning recesses, and the safety needle cannot be reused and can be distinguished as a used needle.

A drive mechanism for a delivery device is presented containing, a rotator having an outer surface and an inner surface, the rotator configured to rotate from a first position to a second position. A needle cover having an inner surface that engages the outer surface of the rotator. A rotatable plunger rod having an outer surface configured to engage the inner surface of the rotator. When the rotator rotates from the first position to the second position, the rotatable plunger rod is rotated by the rotator and a plunger rod spring is released from a pre-tensioned state to exert a force on the rotatable plunger rod.
