The safety device comprises a sleeve element (6) that extends along an axial direction (X) and encloses at least partly the piercing means and the syringe body, said sleeve element being rotatably mounted on a distal end region of the syringe body. The safety device is characterized by comprising a contact element (7) which contacts the skin of a patient when the syringe is used, said contact element being arranged on the distal end of the sleeve element and being rotatable independent of the sleeve element.
Automatic-locking safety needle covers and methods of use and manufacture
A single-use needle cover configured to obscure, protect, or hide at least a portion of a needle from view before, during, and/or after an injection and/or aspiration procedure is disclosed. In some embodiments, the cover includes a housing at least partially containing the needle and configured to couple to a syringe, wherein the housing includes an axis and a guide member. In some embodiments, a sleeve has a plurality of tracks configured to slidingly receive the guide member, wherein the sleeve is configured to retract, extend, and rotate with respect to the housing. In some embodiments, after the sleeve has been retracted and extended one time, a first locking member inhibits further retraction of the sleeve and a second locking member inhibits rotation of the sleeve.
NEEDLE SAFETY SYSTEM
A syringe safety system may include a sleeve. The sleeve may include a guide track formed in the sleeve. The guide track may have a guide pin retention portion, a travel portion, and a lockout portion. The syringe safety system may include a collar having a guide from an exterior surface of the collar. A spring may extend between and be coupled to the collar and the sleeve. A cap may engage the sleeve. The cap may be configured to retain the guide pin in the guide pin retention portion of the guide tack. When the cap is removed, the spring advances the guide pin into the travel portion of the guide track.
Auto-injector
An autoinjector having a body (1) and an actuator sleeve (10) having a first projecting position before actuation and a second projecting position after actuation. The actuator sleeve or the body has a flexible tab (110) that deforms laterally when the actuator sleeve moves from its first projecting position to its actuated position, then from its actuated position to return to its second projecting position. The other of the actuator sleeve and the body has an initial zone (102), an intermediate zone (105), and a final reception zone (106) co-operating with the flexible tab in the first projecting position, actuated position, and second projecting position, respectively. The final reception zone is offset laterally from the initial zone. A deformable axial wall (1020) deforms allowing the flexible tab to pass from the initial zone to the intermediate zone and guides it from the intermediate zone to the final reception zone.
Safety device for a pre-filled syringe and injection device
According to the invention a safety device for a pre-filled syringe comprises a substantially cylindrical and hollow support body and a hollow needle shield slideably arranged relative to the support body. The support body comprises at least one resilient arm and the hollow needle shield or a needle shield assembly comprises at least one curved actuation ramp. The curved actuation ramp protrudes in a lateral direction (L) perpendicular to a central axis (A) of the safety device. The curved actuation ramp comprises a first lateral dimension (L1) at a proximal end of the needle shield and a second lateral dimension (L2) exceeding the first lateral dimension (L1) at a distal end of the needle shield. The resilient arm engages the curved actuation ramp when the needle shield is slid relative to the support body.
Autoinjector
An autoinjector includes a body (1; 1010), a reservoir containing fluid product, a piston, a needle, a piston rod (5 5; 1005) that is displaceable between a loaded position and an injection position, and an injection spring (8; 1008) to stress 10 the piston rod towards the injection position. The autoinjector also includes an injection lock having a control sleeve (4; 1004) containing the piston rod and the injection spring. The piston rod includes a radial recess (50; 1050) receiving a substantially spherical blocking element (7; 1007) mobile between a blocking position and an unblocking position, stressed radially towards the exterior by the piston rod, and held in the blocking position by a blocking member (23; 1004) that is displaceable relative to the piston rod to release the blocking element.
Syringe comprising a bonded needle
A syringe having a bonded needle, comprising a syringe body, a needle protector comprising a flexible cap, an outer sleeve, which can move along a longitudinal axis between an extended position, in which it covers the needle, and a retracted position, in which it does not cover the needle, and a collar, which is mounted with a radial clearance around an end part of the syringe body and which comprises at least one pin engaged in a guide opening of the sleeve. A portion of the flexible cap fills the radial clearance between the end part of the syringe body and the collar when the cap is mounted on the syringe, such that the collar cannot rotate around the end part of the syringe body as long as the cap is mounted on the syringe.
Safety device for a syringe
The invention relates to a safety device for a syringe for avoiding stab wounds, said syringe having a syringe body and a piercing means arranged on the distal end of the syringe body. The safety device comprises a sleeve element that extends along an axial direction (X) and encloses at least partly the piercing means and the syringe body, and a collar element that can be arranged on a distal end region of the syringe body and locks the safety device in the axial direction (X), said collar element having at least one guide projection which engages at least one guide track of the sleeve element. The safety device is further characterized by having a cap element that can be arranged at least in sections on top of the sleeve element and by means of which the sleeve element can be locked with respect to the movement of the syringe body relative to the sleeve element.
SAFETY NEEDLE WITH DEFORMABLE CANNULA FOR INJECTOR PEN
A safety needle having a rigid outer structure within which there is a cannula holding element of being movably coupled to an injector pen for a drug is provided. The cannula holding element supports a cannula having a first extremity and a second extremity for administration of the drug. A moving protective element associated with the rigid structure, covers the second extremity of the cannula after administration, with provision being made for a deforming member capable of deforming the cannula after administration of the drug so that the second extremity of the cannula remains within the protective element. The deforming member is associated with the protective element and is capable of rotating autonomously with respect thereto after administration of the drug to deform the cannula.
Needle Protection Assembly
The application relates to a needle protection assembly (1) comprising: a supporting element (18) and a needle shield (8), one locking element (20) located within said needle protection assembly (1) and not accessible to the user, urging means (24) for displacing said needle shield (8), a peg (19) located on said supporting element (18) or on said needle shield (8), and a cam (9) located on said needle shield (8) or on said supporting element (18), and said locking element (20) is not formed by said peg (19) and cam (9). The respective longitudinal axis of the needle shield (8) and of the locking element (20) are merged when said needle shield (8) is in its before use or in use positions, and they form an angle (a) when said needle shield (8) is in its after use position.
