Low radial profile needle safety device
A needle safety device has an outer tube within which a syringe barrel from which a cannula extends is slideably receivable. A collar in the outer tube is moveable relative thereto and rotatably attachable to the distal end of the barrel. A force member biases the outer tube in a distal direction. A cannula shield able to receive the cannula therein is in the outer tube. The cannula shield is fixedly attached to a cap removably attached to the outer tube. A track is formed in the inner surface of the outer tube. A pin extending radially outwardly from the collar slidingly engages the track. In a pre-injection position, the cannula is entirely within the outer tube. In a full-insertion position, the cannula extends beyond the outer tube. In a locked position, the cannula is irreversibly retained entirely within the outer tube.
Safety needle with deformable cannula for injector pen
A safety needle having a rigid outer structure within which there is a cannula holding element of being movably coupled to an injector pen for a drug is provided. The cannula holding element supports a cannula having a first extremity and a second extremity for administration of the drug. A moving protective element associated with the rigid structure, covers the second extremity of the cannula after administration, with provision being made for a deforming member capable of deforming the cannula after administration of the drug so that the second extremity of the cannula remains within the protective element. The deforming member is associated with the protective element and is capable of rotating autonomously with respect thereto after administration of the drug to deform the cannula.
AN ASSEMBLY FOR A MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
An assembly for a medicament delivery device is disclosed having a body, a delivery member cover arranged in the body and configured to move axially relative to the body from an extend position relative to the body to a retracted position, and wherein the delivery member cover is configured to be rotatable relative to the body, and a cap configured to receive a proximal portion of the delivery member cover extending from the body when the delivery member cover is in the extended position, and wherein the cap is configured to be removably attached to and rotationally locked relative to the body, wherein the delivery member cover has a first locking structure and the cap has a second locking structure configured to engage with the first locking structure when the delivery member cover is in the extended position, to prevent rotation of the delivery member cover relative to the cap in a first rotational direction.
AFTER-USE SAFETY SYSTEM FOR A SYRINGE WITH BONDED NEEDLE AND SYRINGE EQUIPPED WITH SUCH A SYSTEM
An after-use safety system for a syringe, including a barrel which defines a central axis along which it can move in translation and which includes a radial opening forming a guidance path for a pin, an immobiliser, which is arranged inside the barrel and which includes the pin interacting with the barrel, and a return spring configured to elastically load the barrel forwards with respect to the immobiliser, the immobiliser including a radial stopping means for immobilising the barrel along one axis radial to the central axis when the barrel is forced towards the rear after use of the syringe.
Manual injection device
A manual injection device having a lower body (1) for a reservoir (S), a piston (P) and a needle (A); a movable upper body (2) including a piston rod (TP); and an actuator sleeve (10) including a contact end (11) and movable relative to the lower body between projecting positions and an actuated position. The actuator sleeve (10) is in a first projecting position before the manual injection device is actuated, and in a second projecting position after it is actuated. The actuator sleeve co-operates with the lower body (1) or with any element secured to the lower body to define a pricking lock. The piston rod (TP) co-operates with the reservoir or with an element secured to the reservoir to define an injection lock. The force for actuating the pricking lock is less than the force for actuating the injection lock, such that the pricking lock is actuated first.
Medical Device for Injecting a Composition Provided with a Safety Needle Cover
A medical injection device for supporting a medical container, the medical container comprising a barrel adapted to contain a composition and a needle extending from a distal end of the barrel, wherein the medical injection device comprises: a body configured to receive at least a part of the medical container, a plunger axially movable relative to the body along an axis of the body, needle cover movable relative to the body along the axis, the needle cover being configured to move successively between storage position wherein the needle cover covers the needle, an injection position wherein the needle cover exposes at least partially the needle, a safety position wherein the needle cover covers the needle and is prevented from moving back to the injection position.
AUTOINJECTOR WITH A NEEDLE COVER
The invention relates to an autoinjector 59 for administering a fluid medicament to a subject comprising: a housing 1 for receiving a cartridge holder; a driver assembly 8; the driver assembly on actuation may move the cartridge 3 forward in the cartridge holder 2; a needle cover 4 may be coupled to the housing wherein the needle cover 4 travels in a linear or translational movement; said needle cover 4 is adapted to protect a needle when the needle cover may be in first locking position 17 and second locking position 18; the linear or translational movement may be achieved by a cam profile 13 and a cam follower 14; the cam profile 13 may be provided on outside surface of housing and the cam follower 14 located between the needle cover 4 and the housing 1; a first biasing member 15; and a second biasing member 16 configured to bias the cartridge 3 and the needle cover 4 respectively; and a safety cap 11 to control the actuation of the autoinjector. The needle cover 4 further comprises a sleeve 91 or sleeve 92 which prevents or inhibits the obstruction of the movement of needle cover 4 when the user accidentally hold the needle cover 4 during actuation of the autoinjector.
AUTOMATIC-LOCKING SAFETY NEEDLE COVERS AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE
A single-use needle cover configured to obscure, protect, or hide at least a portion of a needle from view before, during, and/or after an injection and/or aspiration procedure is disclosed. In some embodiments, the cover includes a housing at least partially containing the needle and configured to couple to a syringe, wherein the housing includes an axis and a guide member. In some embodiments, a sleeve has a plurality of tracks configured to slidingly receive the guide member, wherein the sleeve is configured to retract, extend, and rotate with respect to the housing. In some embodiments, after the sleeve has been retracted and extended one time, a first locking member inhibits further retraction of the sleeve and a second locking member inhibits rotation of the sleeve.
