A safety device for a medicament container includes a first sheath having a first ledge and a second ledge, a second sheath telescopically arranged with the first sheath and releasably coupled to the first ledge, and a finger flange having at least one resilient clip adapted to engage the second ledge first sheath.

Syringe assembly with automatic safety shield
09623193 · 2017-04-18 ·

A safety shield for use with a hypodermic syringe device is disclosed. The safety shield is moveable relative to the syringe barrel between retracted position and a needle containing position. In the retracted position, the syringe device may be used to inject the needle into the patient. After the medication has been injected or as the needle is withdrawn from the patient, in its operative mode the shield automatically extends from its retracted position to a needle containing position to shield the point of the needle to prevent accidental sticks and without further input from the operator to render the syringe unusable after a single injection.

Injection device preventing the return of the piston when the safety system is deployed
09597456 · 2017-03-21 · ·

An injection device includes: a body for receiving a product, a needle and a piston attached to a piston rod movable between a storage position and an end-of-injection position. The device further includes a sleeve for protecting the needle which is movable between an initial position where the needle is uncovered and a final position where the needle is covered, as well as biasing means for moving the sleeve from its initial position to its final position and immobilization means for keeping the sleeve in its initial position. The piston rod includes a first portion and a second portion, the second portion being able to switch between a locked position in which the second portion is fixed to the first portion and an unlocked position in which the second portion is movable with respect to the first portion on a predetermined distance along the longitudinal axis of the piston rod.

Reconstitution Means for Safety Device
20170028139 · 2017-02-02 ·

The present disclosure describes a needle guard device or system that can be used with drugs requiring reconstitution. The needle guard is preferably a passive needle guard that can be used during reconstitution without activating the safety mechanism. Following administration of the medication, the needle guard shields a user from inadvertent needle sticks by extending a protective shield over the needle.

Needle sheathing device with flexible end-piece for syringe
09555196 · 2017-01-31 · ·

The invention relates to a safe support device for a syringe, said support comprising a support sheath for the body of a syringe, and safety means which comprise an inner sheath suitable for sliding relative to said support sheath between a waiting retracted position, in which said inner sheath is substantially retracted inside said support sheath, and an active protection position, in which said inner sheath projects from said support sheath. The inner sheath has a free end portion formed by a flexible end-piece. The invention also relates to an assembly comprising such a safe support device and a syringe having a body, a piston and a needle disposed at one end of said body.

Pen needle
12420030 · 2025-09-23 · ·

A pen needle and a method of using the pen needle. The pen needle includes a housing, a needle carrier in the housing supporting a needle, a distal shroud positioned around the needle within the housing, a distal compression spring positioned around the needle between the needle carrier and the distal shroud, a proximal shroud positioned around the needle within the housing, and a proximal compression spring positioned around the needle between the needle and the proximal shroud. The proximal shroud is movable between a first position, in which the proximal shroud engages the distal shroud to hold the distal shroud in engagement with the housing, and a second position in which the proximal shroud is disengaged from the distal shroud allowing the distal shroud to move in a distal direction to project from the housing and surround a distal end of the needle.

EMERGENCY AUTOMATIC INJECTION DEVICE
20260054011 · 2026-02-26 ·

An automatic injection device for use with a syringe, including a housing element; at least one resilient element arranged to be located within the housing element; a needle guard slidably positionable with respect to the housing element; a control unit configured to be fixedly coupled with the housing element; a plunger rod biased axially forwardly under an urge of the at least one resilient element and configured to engage the control unit in a storage operative orientation, in which the plunger rod is prevented from forward axial displacement relative to the control unit under the urge of the at least one resilient element; and upon axial rearward displacement of the needle guard with respect to the housing element, the plunger rod is disengaged from the control unit and is permitted to be axially forwardly displaced relative to the control unit under the urge of the at least one resilient element.
