Multiple-Stage Heating for a Flashline Heater
Disclosed are a process for operating a flashline heater and a flashline separation system. In the process and system, heat is supplied to the flashline heater by a first steam stage followed by a second steam stage. The steam pressure is controlled by a steam control system such that the pressure in the first steam stage is not equal to the pressure in the second steam stage. Also disclosed is a process for retrofitting a steam control system in a flashline separation system of an olefin polymerization system at least by changing the number of steam stages in the flashline separation system to include a first steam stage followed by a second steam stage, and changing the stream pressure control scheme such that the pressure in the first steam stage is independently controlled to be not equal to the pressure in the second steam stage.

CONVECTION ENHANCED EVAPORATION
A system includes an evaporator having sensors and selectable operational parameters and a controller configured to receive data and determine operational configuration for the evaporator. Selectable parameters relate to system heating, liquid flow rate, air flow rate, and environmental data.
Wastewater processing
A wastewater collection tank feeds a vaporizing unit through an inlet near the unit's top. A burner produces hot air, which a blower blows through a blower tube that passes through the upper portion of the unit to the bottom portion of the unit. A substrate through which air can pass extends across the unit between the bottom of the blower tube and the wastewater inlet. The hot air moving upward through the unit heats the falling wastewater, a substantial portion of which is vaporized therefrom. The vapor is vented from the top of the unit. Un-vaporized wastewater collects at the bottom of the unit and is recycled through the system with raw wastewater in the collection tank.
Method and system for purifying contaminated water
This disclosure concerns a system for purifying contaminated water and a method for using the system. More specifically, the invention concerns removing contaminants, such as those introduced by fracking, from a contaminated water.
Control of hot air flow circulation within a solar desalination system
Methods and systems for circulating hot air in a solar desalination system include a desalination structure having an air flow path defined between an external surface layer and an internal surface layer. A return flow conduit has a fan, a check valve, and a control valve. Saline water is delivered through a nozzle to provide a mist. An air flow within the air flow path is heated to form a hot air supply. The mist is heated with the hot air supply to form an evaporated fluid. The fan is operated to divert a diverted portion of the hot air supply into the return flow conduit to be mixed with an ambient air to form and heat the air flow. The volume of the diverted portion can be controlled with the control valve. The check valve prevents ambient air from entering the return flow conduit at a base end.

HEAT INTEGRATED PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR ORGANIC SOLVENT PRODUCTION USING VAPOR RECOMPRESSION
A distillation and dehydration system is provided that produces an anhydrous organic solvent. The provided system includes vapor recompression (e.g., a mechanical or thermal vapor recompression unit) to recover heat from a rectification-distillation section (e.g., a rectifier/stripper column). The addition of vapor recompression enables further heat recovery within a stream by increasing the condensation temperature and pressure of that stream and later using its latent heat by condensing it.
FLUID SUPPLY SYSTEM
A fluid supply system includes: a support body having: a base plate; a side plate provided on one side of the base plate in the longitudinal direction so as to be orthogonal to the base plate; and a top plate provided on one end of the base plate in the height direction so as to be orthogonal to the base plate and the side plate; a process-gas supply unit provided on an outer surface of the top plate; a liquid supply unit provided on an inner surface of the side plate so as to communicate with the process-gas supply unit via a communication-flow-channel forming block; and a purge-gas supply unit provided on an inner surface of base plate so as to communicate with the process-gas supply unit via a communication pipe.
INTEGRATED HEAT EXCHANGER AND SOUR WATER STRIPPER
A combined vessel comprises a stripping section for removing acid gases from a sour water stream and a direct contact heat exchanger section for heating a graywater stream in order to improve heat and mass transfer in the treatment and recycle of water streams for a gasification process.
