RETANGULAR FILTERS, ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR FILTRATION
The present invention discloses a rectangular shaped filter and coalescer elements and a vessel that houses a plurality of such rectangular shaped elements. Greater filtration or separation efficiency is provided due to increased number and alignment of rectangular shaped filter elements in the vessel. The rectangular shaped filter elements are also easy to replace.
Filter apparatus
A filter apparatus, in particular for the filtration of hydraulic media, includes a filter housing (4) and a filter element (30) arranged in the filter housing, Air present in the filter housing (4) can be removed from the housing by suction by a degassing device (52) that generates a negative pressure.
DEVICE FOR DEGASSING A LIQUID FLOWING IN A LIQUID LINE
A device for degassing a liquid flowing in a liquid line is provided. The device has an inlet opening, an outlet opening, and a capillary element having an inner wall surface. The capillary element extends between the inlet opening and the outlet opening. The inlet opening is connected in a fluid-communicating manner to the outlet opening and is connected in a fluid-communicating manner to the liquid line. The inner wall surface has a material that is liquid-repellent for a liquid flowing in the liquid line. A device is thus provided for degassing a liquid flowing in a liquid line that reduces the time needed for degassing.
Species extraction
A species extraction apparatus for liquid-based extractions is disclosed herein. The apparatus comprises a body supporting a matrix structure comprising cellular units. The apparatus is configured to uptake an absorptive liquid, and the absorptive liquid can remove at least one species from a working fluid that contacts the apparatus. In certain embodiments, the at least one species can be CO.sub.2, and the absorptive liquid can be liquid water-free tetraethylenepentamine (TEPA). The apparatus is advantageously manufacture using additive manufacturing techniques.
Housing of a liquid separation device for separation of a liquid from a gas-liquid mixture
A housing of a liquid separation device that includes an inlet for the gas-liquid mixture and a set of integrated components, the set of integrated components includes a liquid separator vessel to separate liquid from the gas-liquid mixture, and the liquid separator vessel includes an entry port for the gas-liquid mixture, a liquid outlet port, and a gas outlet port. The set of integrated components includes a set of channels, where a wall of each channel is part of the housing, where the set of channels includes an inlet channel to guide the gas-liquid mixture from the inlet to the entry port and an outlet channel to guide gas from the gas outlet port away from the liquid separator vessel. The housing includes at least two opposite housing pieces which can be hermetically sealed together along a sealing line which is situated in a sealing face.
SEPARATOR FOR SEPARATING A LOWER DENSITY LIQUID FROM A FLUID STREAM
The invention relates to a separator for separating a lower density liquid, in particular an oil, from a fluid stream containing a mixture of a gas, the lower density liquid and a higher density liquid, in particular water, the separator having a supply, through which the fluid stream can flow under overpressure, and a decompression chamber having a decompression opening, which can be connected via the decompression opening to an environment in which a pressure level lower than the overpressure of the fluid stream prevails, and a coalescence filter arranged in the decompression chamber and an interior space surrounded by a coalescence filter medium, the supply opening into the interior, and a separation chamber, which is arranged below the decompression chamber and having an upper outlet for lower density liquid and a lower outlet for a residual product, and having a dip tube having a first opening in the lower region of the decompression chamber and a second opening in the separation chamber.
IRRIGATED CATHETER SYSTEM INCLUDING FLUID DEGASSING APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USING SAME
Disclosed herein is an irrigated catheter system. The system includes a catheter shaft including a fluid delivery tube, an electrode coupled to the catheter shaft at a distal end thereof and in fluid communication with the fluid delivery tube, a fluid source coupled in fluid communication with the fluid delivery tube for supplying fluid thereto, and a fluid degassing apparatus fluidly coupled between the fluid source and the fluid delivery tube such that the fluid flows through the fluid degassing apparatus. The fluid degassing apparatus includes one of a gas filter including a permeable membrane disposed in a fluid-tight housing, a centrifugal separator, and a multi-chamber system including a vacuum chamber and a fluid reservoir fluidly coupled downstream of the vacuum chamber.
METHOD FOR DEGASSING A CROSS-FLOW DIAFILTRATION UNIT, CROSS-FLOW DIAFILTRATION METHOD AND CROSS-FLOW DIAFILTRATION UNIT
A method for degassing a cross-flow diafiltration unit, a cross-flow diafiltration method and a cross-flow diafiltration unit. The degassing method includes (i) providing a cross-flow diafiltration unit having a diafiltration channel, a retentate channel and a permeate channel, a first filter material that delimits the diafiltration channel from the retentate channel, and a second filter material that delimits the retentate channel from the permeate channel; and thereafter (ii) feeding a liquid into the retentate channel so that the liquid flows in a flow direction through the retentate channel and penetrates through the first filter material into the diafiltration channel, whereby the retentate channel and the diafiltration channel are filled with and degassed by the liquid
HOLLOW FIBER DEGASSING MODULE, INKJET PRINTER, AND METHOD FOR DEGASSING LIQUID
A hollow fiber degassing module includes: a hollow fiber membrane bundle including a plurality of hollow fiber membranes bundled into a cylindrical shape; a housing that houses the hollow fiber membrane bundle, includes a liquid supply port and a liquid discharge port that are formed in communication with spaces between the plurality of hollow fiber membrane, and further includes a suction port formed in communication with inner spaces of the plurality of hollow fiber membranes; and an outer support having a plurality of openings formed therein and disposed between the hollow fiber membrane bundle and the housing.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR DE-AERATION OF A LIQUID
Methods and apparatuses are provided for deaeration of a liquid. Liquid may be impinged onto an inclined baffle and forced through a first plurality of apertures that direct the liquid in one or more directions away from one or more outlets of a reservoir. The liquid may be passed through a second plurality of apertures. Flowing the liquid as described promotes a circuitous route of travel and provides a residence time inside of the reservoir that promotes release of entrained air.
