Liquid filtration media containing melt-blown fibers
A filter and filter media configured and arranged for placement in a fuel stream is disclosed. The filter and filter media allow for filtering of liquid fuels, such as diesel fuel. In certain embodiments the filter media includes a media fiber, such as melt blown polyester; and a scaffold fiber, also such as melt blown polyester, having a larger diameter than the media fiber. The media and scaffold fibers combine to create a media structure having low solidity and relatively low compressibility, and which contain a pore structure that avoids premature fouling of the filter by fuel degradation products.
MODULAR STORMWATER FILTRATION
A modular drainage filtration apparatus comprising a filtration container having an open-ended structure with a shape determined by the number of walls used during assembly, each wall being formed from a generally flat sheet of a rigid material and comprising a flat body portion with a plurality of formed tabs and an upper and lower overhanging portion, the walls being assembled to form a filtration container enclose an interior region and having open and opposite upper and lower faces and a plurality of filtration units each comprising a flat filter stage configured to be placed within a filtration container.
FILTER MEDIUM FOR DEACTIVATING ALLERGENS
Filter medium, comprising at least one acid-functionalized layer, characterized in that the acid-functionalized layer has a first acid with a pks 1 value of 0 to 7 and a C8 to C18 fatty acid as the second acid.
FLUID FILTRATION AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR PLANTING DEVICES
In some examples, a system for filtering and distributing fluid in a planting device comprises a first receptacle and a second receptacle. The first receptacle includes a first filter and a second filter. The second receptacle includes a first aperture and a second aperture. Fluid can enter the second receptacle through the first aperture and drain from the second receptacle through the second aperture to the second filter in the first receptacle. The system may include a pump configured to pump fluid from the first receptacle through the first filter to the first aperture of the second receptacle. Moreover, the system may include barriers that at least partially obstruct fluid flow between the first aperture and the second aperture. Each of the barriers includes a plurality of perforations located along a width of the barrier; each of the plurality of perforations allows fluid to flow through the barrier.
Method of removing undesirable solid components from a renewable or non-renewable feed and apparatus used in same
A filter media for the removal of undesirable solid components from a fuel feedstock contains biomass and a catalyst used from the thermocatalytic conversion of biomass into bio-oil.
Sprayer filtering system
A filtering apparatus is configured to receive pressurized fluid from a pump. The filtering apparatus has a main inlet, a main outlet, and a filtering branch comprising a first filter. An agitator of a tank from which the pump draws is configured to receive fluid flow from the filtering branch via a proportional valve and an inlet connection. A method of operating a filtering system includes influencing fluid flow from a tank to one or more nozzles via a filtering apparatus; and diverting a portion of the fluid flow through plural filters of a different mesh size back to an agitating mechanism through a lower portion of the tank.
WATER FILTRATION APPARATUS AND PROCESS
The instant invention, in one aspect, provides a process for decontaminating water to remove contaminants, said process comprising passing contaminated water through a filter comprising a plurality of filtering elements capable of lowering the contaminants by at least 70%. In another aspect is provides a filtering unit comprising a plurality of filtering elements arranged in individual layers, said individual layers independently selected from brick chips, hemp fibers, mixture of hemp fibers and charcoal, agave, jute fibers, sand, filter paper, and gravel.
Filter system for removing and/or neutralizing undissolved oil, grease, and salts and/or abraded metal particles on and in emulsions containing water
The invention relates to a filter system for removing and/or neutralizing undissolved oils, greases and salts, preferably also floating bodies, such as metal debris, on/in water-containing emulsions from, in particular, containers and tanks that are used for holding and storing emulsions.
Method and apparatus for water filtration
A method and apparatus for filtering fluid for a food processing system is disclosed and includes a fluid inlet, a filtered outlet, a drain outlet, two filterseach having inlets, inlet valves, drain outlets, drain valves, filtered outlets, and return valves. A first recycling flow path includes an inlet valve, an inlet, a filter, a return valve, and a filtered outlet. A first drain flow path includes the inlet valve, the inlet, the filter, the drain valve, and the drain outlet. A second set of like flow paths for the second filter is provided. A controller is connected to control each of valves, and the controller has a first filter purge module, a first filter filter module, a first filter power purge module, a first filter off module, second filter purge module, a second filter filter module, a second filter power purge module, and a second filter off module.
Method and packaged system for filtering water
A system for reconditioning contaminated water includes a plurality of filter tanks, each filter tank configured to hold a media mixture comprising media particles to which contaminants adhere when the contaminated water is pumped through the filter tanks and a feed water pump to pump the contaminated water through the plurality of filter tanks. The plurality of filter tanks are configured to form a multistage filter system for filtering the contaminated water at different contaminant particle sizes, and the feed water pump pumps the contaminated water through the multistage filter system in a continuous manner during a normal filtering mode.
