Filter for extruder press
A solid/fluid separation module and press enables treatment of solids with enclosed fluids to generate a filtered mass having a solids content above 50%. A split filter module with first and second filter blocks clamped together for forming barrel sections or filtering sections is disclosed for use in a solid/fluid separating device including a barrel and a conveyor screw in the barrel. The split filter module permits replacement, maintenance, or repair of the filter blocks without disassembly or the separating device, or removal of the conveyor screws.
Liquid filtration apparatus
A liquid filtration apparatus includes a series of upright filter plates forming a filter plate pack. Filtering spaces are formed in the filter plate pack. The liquid filtration apparatus includes at least one filtering space and a filter chamber that is at least partly limited laterally by a filter media. The at least one filtering space has an elongated bottom discharge opening at a level below the filter chamber. The elongated bottom discharge opening is provided with a first openable and closable hatch arrangement and with a second openable and closable hatch arrangement extending across the elongated bottom discharge opening.
Filtering unit with automatic backwashing
A filtering unit includes a filtering component having inner and outer walls arranged around each other so as to define an inner space between the inner wall and the outer wall, a filtering mesh partitioning the inner space into a pre-filter chamber and a post-filter chamber, at least said pre-filter chamber being circumferentially compartmented in sectors, a divider arranged coaxially with the filtering component and having distinct distribution columns, and a rotary backwashing distributor having a shutter provided with a discharge opening, the rotary backwashing distributor being mounted to rotate so that said discharge opening is periodically and selectively put into communication with each distribution column, whereby each distribution column periodically and selectively establishes communication between the discharge opening and respective ones of the sectors. The rotary backwashing distributor is in direct contact with the divider.
LIQUID FILTRATION APPARATUS
A liquid filtration apparatus includes a series of upright filter plates forming a filter plate pack. Filtering spaces are formed in the filter plate pack. The liquid filtration apparatus includes at least one filtering space and a filter chamber that is at least partly limited laterally by a filter media. The at least one filtering space has an elongated bottom discharge opening at a level below the filter chamber. The elongated bottom discharge opening is provided with a first openable and closable hatch arrangement and with a second openable and closable hatch arrangement extending across the elongated bottom discharge opening.
DISCHARGE FILTER PLATE ASSEMBLY FOR FILTER PRESS
A filter plate assembly for a filter press is provided. The filter plate assembly includes at least a first filter plate and a second filter plate, which cooperate to define a filter chamber when the first filter plate and the second filter plate are in a filtering position. At least one of the first filter plate and the second filter plate is movable from the filtering position to a discharge position in which a filter cake can be discharged. In other configurations, the filter plate assembly can include a first filter plate, a second filter plate and a center filter plate or frame, which cooperate to define a filter chamber. The center filter plate or frame is movable from a filtering position to a discharge position.
FILTERING UNIT WITH AUTOMATIC BACKWASHING
A filtering unit includes a filtering component having inner and outer walls arranged around each other so as to define an inner space between the inner wall and the outer wall, a filtering mesh partitioning the inner space into a pre-filter chamber and a post-filter chamber, at least said pre-filter chamber being circumferentially compartmented in sectors, a divider arranged coaxially with the filtering component and having distinct distribution columns, and a rotary backwashing distributor having a shutter provided with a discharge opening, the rotary backwashing distributor being mounted to rotate so that said discharge opening is periodically and selectively put into communication with each distribution column, whereby each distribution column periodically and selectively establishes communication between the discharge opening and respective ones of the sectors. FILTER FOR EXTRUDER PRESS
A solid/fluid separation module (300) and press comprises at least one filter unit (301) for a solid/fluid separating press having a barrel with a core opening (112) for at least one conveyor screw. The filter unit includes a pair of end plates (321,322) and a plurality of intermediate filter plates (314) placed one behind the other and sealingly compressed into a plate stack (310) between the end plates. Each intermediate plate (314) has at least one drainage perforation (362) separate from the core opening, the core opening and drainage perforation each extending from a front face to a back face of the intermediate filter plate. In the filter unit, all end plates and barrel plates are aligned such that the core openings form the core passage of the filter block and such that the drainage perforations form an internal fluid collection chamber (338) within the filter unit.
FILTER PLATE ASSEMBLY FOR FILTER
A filter (20) configured to separate the solid components and the liquid components from a slurry. The filter (20) includes a plurality of filter plate assemblies (46) that cooperate to define a plurality of filter chambers (70), each defining a perimeter (96) having an open section (98) when the filter plates (68) are in a closed position relative to one another. Each filter plate assembly (46) includes a closure (104) configured to close the open section (98). Preferably, the closures (104) are movable to an open position to permit a particulate cake to be removed from the filter chambers (70) without separating the filter plates (68).

A filter comprising a casing and a plurality of filtering elements stacked between a first cover and a second cover, wherein the first cover rests against the casing in a stacking direction of the filtering elements, wherein the filter further comprises a cover backing coupled to the second cover by a return system configured to return the second cover towards the first cover, wherein the cover backing rests against the casing in the stacking direction and the second cover separates a zone of the casing adapted to receive filtered fluid from a zone of the casing adapted to receive fluid to filter.
HORIZONTAL PRESSURE FILTER COLLECTOR ELEMENT, HORIZONTAL PRESSURE FILTER PLATE ELEMENT, HORIZONTAL PRESSURE FILTER, AND METHODS RELATED THERETO
A filtrate collector element includes a hollow body forming a first opening portion, a second opening portion, and an intermediate portion. The intermediate portion forms a conduit between the first opening portion and the second opening portion. The collector element may be coupled with a pressure filter plate element. The outer dimension of the first opening portion is smaller than the inner dimension of the second opening portion, such that first opening portion of a preceding collector element can be at least partly nested in the second opening portion of a subsequent collector element. A pressure filter plate element, a horizontal pressure filter, a method for providing a continuous filtrate conduit and a method for operating a pressure filter are also concerned.
