The pressure sensitive valve assembly comprises an orifice surround, a pressure relief spring, and a valve plug comprising a valve head and first and second retention legs. The first and second retention legs of the valve plug are spaced apart from one another, extend from a leg base positioned at the sealing side of the valve head to a distal end of the retention leg, and comprise respective seating regions, tapered transition regions, and clearance regions. Each of the respective seating regions comprises a spring engaging hook structurally configured to receive a seating portion of the pressure relief spring. The pressure relief spring is compressed between the orifice surround and the spring engaging hooks to bias the pressure sensitive valve assembly towards the closed state.

A filter system for filtering a working fluid including a disposable filter having an inlet to be disposed in fluid communication with a working fluid and an outlet to be disposed in fluid communication with a machine. The disposable filter includes a sensor assembly or accessory for monitoring a characteristic of the working fluid passing through the disposable filter and/or an operational condition of the disposable filter. The disposable filter includes a communication module for communicating the monitored characteristic or operational condition to a controller. The controller is configured to analyze the received information and generate an optimal maintenance schedule and predicted remaining useful life of the machine, disposable filter, or working fluid. A method of operating the filter system is also provided.

Bypass valve with variable filter

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for bypass flow filtering. A bypass valve filter includes at least one wall configured to engage a surface of a bypass valve and a filter surface having a plurality of openings between an inside of the at least one wall and an outside of the at least one wall. One or more openings of the plurality of openings have a first size and one or more other openings of the plurality of openings have a second size, wherein the first size is different than the second size to define different levels of filtering. The bypass valve further includes an open end configured to allow fluid flow therethrough and to the plurality of openings.

IDENTIFICATIOIN OF FILTER MEDIA WITHIN A FILTRATION SYSTEM

In general, techniques are described for filter media monitoring within a filtration system. The filter media monitoring techniques described herein include, for example, direct contact with the filter media, e.g., a sensor may be located inside a boundary defined by a surface of the filter media, or indirect contact with the filter media, e.g., a sensor may be located outside the boundary defined by the surface of the filter media such that the sensor does not make direct physical contact with the filter media being monitored.

Filter Assembly with Self-Contained Disposable Filter Cartridge
20190054402 · 2019-02-21 ·

A filtering device includes a two-piece housing and a disposable, self-contained filter cartridge. The filter cartridge includes a cylindrical filter with a specialized flow bypass endcap, and possibly a second differentiated endcap, wherein each endcap is coupled to opposing ends of the cylindrical filter. The flow bypass endcap includes two channels for the passage of fluids, one channel for the ingress of pre-filtered fluid another channel for egress of filtrate. The bottom endcap can block fluid flow into the end of the cylindrical filter. The filter cartridge includes an impermeable bladder which may be coupled to the outer surface of each endcap such that the bladder completely encloses the filter media. Fluid entering the system passes through ingress channel of the flow bypass endcap into bladder (which surrounds the filter and isolates the fluid from the filter housing).

Torsional No Filter No Run System and Method

A filtration system comprises a housing and a shell housing removably coupled to the housing. A valve comprise a valve housing and a plunger. The plunger comprises a seal member structured to seal an opening in the valve housing. The plunger is axially movable between a closed position, in which the seal member seals the opening, and an open position, in which the seal member does not seal the opening, thereby permitting fluid to flow through the valve housing. A filter element comprises filter media and an endcap. The endcap comprises an alignment tab configured to rotationally secure the filter element with respect to the shell housing when the shell housing is received in the housing. The endcap comprise a valve interaction projection structured to transfer rotation of the filter element and the shell housing to the plunger during installation of the filter element.
