SOLID-LIQUID SEPARATION DEVICE AND FILTRATION DEVICE

A solid-liquid separation device of the present invention is a solid-liquid separation device, in which a filtration belt (1), a seal belt (8), and a squeezing belt (15) are wound around an outer circumference of a separation roll (7) rotated in a circumferential direction and are able to run along a rotational direction of the separation roll (7), an object (P) to be processed supplied between the filtration belt (1) and the seal belt (8) is sandwiched between the filtration belt (1) and the seal belt (8) on the outer circumference of the separation roll (7) and squeezed by the squeezing belt (15), and the object (P) to be processed is dehydrated by being ventilated by ejecting a ventilation gas toward a radially outer side of the separation roll (7) via a ventilation gas chamber (10) formed in an inner circumferential portion of the separation roll (7), in which the seal belt (8) is a woven fabric of multifilament or a woven fabric obtained by combination of multifilament and monofilament and is a thinner than the squeezing belt (15).

A filter includes a filter assembly deployed within a pressure vessel. The filter includes a series of filter configurations arranged along a central flow path connected to an outlet. Each filter configuration has filter screens overlying at least one filtrate channel which directs filtered fluid to the central flow path, A partition is deployed within the pressure vessel so as to subdivide the pressure vessel into a first filter chamber and a second filter chamber, each containing a number of the filter assemblies. A flow diverter is deployed in the central flow path for diverting a flow of filtered liquid passing along the central flow path from the first filter chamber so as to flow outwards from the central flow path to undergo a second filtering in the second filter chamber. Also disclosed is an outlet flow throttling arrangement to avoid overload of a backwash cleaning system.

Removal of water vapor from streams containing carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide

Methods and systems for removing water vapor from a feed gas prior to further processing the feed gas according to a downstream PSA process are described. The feed gas can include CO.sub.2 and/or CO and/or H.sub.2 and the PSA process can be used to separate components of the feed gas from one another, for instance, for CO.sub.2 capture. Light product off of the PSA process is utilized to regenerate desiccant of a dryer used in the water vapor removal process that is carried out prior to the feed gas entering the PSA process. The water vapor removal process can be heated by providing thermal energy directly to the dryer and/or to a regenerating stream that regenerates the desiccant of the dryer. The thermal energy can be low cost energy—for instance, waste heat off of a system that provides the feed gas.

A system and apparatus configured to facilitate on-site treatment of wastewater from a residence is described. The system is configured to immediately treat wastewater as it is generated, on an as-needed basis, and works to remove undissolved down solids and reduce dissolved materials concentrations to a uniform level prior to transmission of the wastewater to municipal waste water treatment facilities and/or any non-drinking application. The system employs a two-stage treatment apparatus where the first stage is configured to pre-grind and decompose undissolved solids of the wastewater and the second to reduce dissolved materials concentrations. The first stage uses turbidity meters, and the second stage uses pH, BOD and conductivity to ensure a uniform output from each stage. A fast decomposer has rotating filters which operational modes ensure that the filters do not become clogged with solids in a cake form simultaneously.
