Device for treating an effluent and method for treating an effluent
A device for treating an effluent composed of liquid and of solid particles to obtain a treated effluent includes a filtration device using gravity separation on a rotating cloth having an inlet intended to receive the effluent to be treated and a first and a second outlet, the filtration device being designed to separate the effluent into a first flow and a second flow, the second flow comprising sludges comprising solid particles, the first flow leaving the filtration device through the first outlet, the second flow leaving the filtration device through the second outlet, and at least one recirculation device designed to recirculate at least a part of the sludges of the second flow to the inlet of the filtration device, the second outlet being linked to the at least one recirculation device. A method for treating an effluent is also provided.
Cooking oil treatment filtration aid and method
A product matter of generally expanding the life of edible cooking oil used to deep fry wherein a combination of diatomaceous earth and anhydrous magnesium silicate are used as a fry and filtering aid.

Regenerative media filtration
A regenerative filter that includes a filter housing having inlet and outlet zones; a fluid path provided between the inlet and outlet zones; a plurality of filter elements each having an outer surface filter media applied thereto and functioning to filter particulate or contaminants from the fluid path; and a tube sheet that is supported across the filter housing, that is disposed just before the outlet zone and that provides the support for the plurality of filter elements. The plurality of filter elements are disposed in an array and includes bridging members or elements that connect between adjacent filter elements, and that forms with the filter elements, a closed interstitial space between adjacent filter elements for liquid flow; a nanoscale barrier on interior surfaces, including that of the regenerative media itself, providing a mechanism to disrupt the cell wall of microscopic viruses and organisms.

ACID-TREATED FILTER AID BLEND
A filter aid composition may include a first acid-treated silica-based filter aid having a first particle size distribution and a second acid-treated silica-based filter aid having a second particle size distribution. A method of making a filter aid composition may include providing a first silica-based filter aid having a first particle size distribution, providing a second silica-based filter aid having a second particle size distribution, and blending the first silica-based filter aid with the second silica-based filter aid to form the filter aid composition. A method of filtering a fluid may include providing a filter aid composition including a first acid-treated silica-based filter aid and a second acid-treated silica-based filter aid and filtering the fluid through the filter aid composition. The filter aid composition may have a multimodal particle size distribution such that the first particle size distribution has a d50 greater than the second particle size distribution.

Removal of fine solids from oilfield fluids
In some embodiments, a pre-treatment source generates pre-treated oilfield fluid from oilfield fluid, prior to injection into an inverting filter centrifuge system. The pre-treatment source increases an efficiency of separating solids from the injected oilfield fluid. An inverting filter centrifuge coupled to the pre-treatment source generates filtered oilfield fluid from the pre-treated oilfield fluid. Post-treatment may be applied to the filtered oilfield fluid. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.
