High efficiency synthetic filter media

The present invention is generally related to a high capacity, high efficiency nonwoven filtration media comprising a gradient pore structure. In particular, the filtration media can comprise thermoplastic synthetic microfibers, fibrillated fibers, staple fibers, and a binder. Furthermore, the filtration media may be produced without the use of glass fibers or microglass fibers. Consequently, the filtration media of the present invention does not cause the same issues as conventional filtration media that comprises glass fibers and/or microglass fibers. Moreover, the filtration media can be used to treat fuel, lubrication fluids, hydraulic fluids, and various other industrial gases.

SMOKE AND DUST TREATMENT APPARATUS FOR WELDING

A smoke and dust treatment apparatus for welding, said apparatus comprising a polishing and dust extraction module and a smoke and dust purification module. The polishing and dust extraction module comprises a double-layer dust extraction cover (3), a protective cover (2), an industrial brush (4), a first air guide portion, a second air guide portion (24) and a drive motor (22), the drive motor (22) driving the industrial brush (4) to rotate at high speed to perform polishing. During welding and polishing, a mechanical arm (6) drives the double-layer dust extraction cover (3), and a suction hole (20) of the double-layer dust extraction cover (3) and a suction guide hole (19) on the industrial brush (4) simultaneously take in toxic gas and debris such as iron filings.

NUCLEAR FUEL ASSEMBLY BOTTOM END PART DEBRIS FILTER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SUCH A DEBRIS FILTER
20220406476 · 2022-12-22 ·

A nuclear fuel assembly bottom end part debris filter has an inlet face (18A) and an outlet face (18B) opposed to the inlet face (18A) and comprises a plurality of filtering structures (50) protruding on the inlet face (18A) of the debris filter (18). Each filtering structure (50) has a structure base (52) and a structure apex (54) spaced along a structure axis (A), and each filtering structure (50) includes blades (56) distributed circumferentially around the structure axis (A). Each blade has one end connected to the structure base (52) and one end connected to the structure apex (54), and each blade (56) delimits a slot (58) with each adjacent blade (56) of the same filtering structure (50).

RAIN HEAD AND SCREEN THEREFOR
20220402774 · 2022-12-22 ·

A rain head comprising a lower body, a screen and an upper body. The screen includes a frame having a trough or recess. Lower parts of the sidewalls of the upper body 14 can fit into the trough or recess to enable the upper body to be removably mounted to the rain head. The screen also includes a peripheral flange and a downwardly extending lip that enable the screen to be removably mounted to the upper part of the lower body. At least some water splashing off the screen during a rain event comes into contact with the upper body and is re-directed to flow into the lower body and out through the outlet of the lower body to a rainwater collection tank. The screen and upper body may be provided separately to the lower body.

EMBER BLOCKING VENT SCREEN AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION
20220395772 · 2022-12-15 ·

An ember-blocking vent screen for covering a roof vent comprises a screen section and at least two strips of pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) heavy duty tape attached at opposite edges of the screen section such that deployment portions of the tape strips overlap and extend transversely beyond their respective screen edges. The screen section is made of stainless steel or aluminum wire, has interstices sufficiently small to block passage of small minimum diameter embers therethrough, is lightweight, and is sufficiently malleable to be capable of conforming to the contour of the vent being covered. The deployment portion of the tape strips is such that deployment portions of the tape extend transversely (i.e., widthwise) beyond respective screen edges covered with a release liner that is removable for installation of the screen
