A process and device for enhancing the chemical protection capability of a collective protection filter whereby the process stream exiting the collective protection filter is passed through an Auxiliary Filter. The auxiliary filter containing an ammonia removal media, such as zirconium hydroxide impregnated with zinc chloride (ZnCl.sub.2/Zr(OH).sub.4), an oxidizing media, preferably zirconium hydroxide impregnated with potassium permanganate (KMnO.sub.4/Zr(OH).sub.4), and a methyl bromide removal media, preferably activated carbon impregnated with triethylenediamine (TEDA/carbon). The auxiliary filter and process are configured to remove toxic industrial chemicals including NH.sub.3, NO.sub.x (mixtures of NO and NO.sub.2) and CH.sub.2O, and CH.sub.3Br.

AIR CLEANING DEVICE
An air filter arrangement (A) includes at least two frames removably attached to each other, each one of the at least two frames delimiting one of at least two spaces/volumes (V1, V2, V3) and all of the at least two frames together defining an air flow path (V1-V2-V3) passing through each one of the at least two adjacent/contiguous spaces/volumes (V1, V2, V3), wherein the space/volume (V1, V2, V3) of one frame of the at least two frames includes a first air filter (F1), the space/volume (V1, V2, V3) of another frame of the at least two frames includes a second air filter (F2), and the space/volume (V1, V2, V3) of one frame of the at least two frames includes an air moving unit (M1). A combined air filter arrangement (CA) may include at least two such air filter arrangements.
FILTER DEVICE HAVING MULTIPLE CHANGEABLE FILTER SURFACES
A device that comprises an outer component, an inner component and a filter module. The outer component includes a first hollow cylinder, and exterior ports in sidewalls of the first hollow cylinder. The inner component is positioned coaxially within the first hollow cylinder, and includes a second cylinder, and interior ports in the second cylinder, wherein the interior fluid ports are aligned parallel to the exterior ports. The filter module includes a hollow prism positioned coaxially within the outer component and surrounding the inner component, the hollow prism comprising at least four faces configured to retain filters. The filter module also includes vanes positioned along edges connecting the at least four faces and forming seals with the first hollow cylinder. A first filter is provided on a first face, of the at least four faces, which is aligned between a pair of the interior and exterior ports.

Particulate filters
A vehicular exhaust filter comprising a porous substrate having an inlet face and an outlet face with the porous substrate comprising inlet channels extending from the inlet face and outlet channels extending from the outlet face is disclosed. The inlet channels and the outlet channels are separated by a plurality of filter walls having a porous structure. The vehicular exhaust filter is loaded with a refractory powder having a tapped density before loading of less than 0.10 g/cm.sup.3 and the vehicular exhaust filter has a mass loading of the refractory powder of less than 10 g/l.

AIR CLEANER
An air cleaner is provided that may include a main body having at least one cylindrical filter and at least one filter frame that forms a mounting space for the at least one filter; and a cylindrical case coupled to an outside of the main body, the cylindrical case having at least one suction inlet through which air is suctioned toward the at least one filter, so that air may be suctioned in 360-degree directions. If the cylindrical case is opened, the at least one filter may be extracted to the outside in a radial direction from the mounting space, thereby facilitating attachment/detachment of the at least one filter.
