A joining device for parts of furniture and furnishing accessories includes a casing or container body suitable for being inserted in a seat formed in one of the components of the item of furniture to be joined and provided with an expansion bushing externally projecting with respect to a first end or front end of said casing or container body and suitable for engaging with a further seat of a further component of the item of furniture to be joined to the component wherein the casing or container body is inserted. Said joining device includes a cam mechanism for a linear motion of actuation means co-operating in an expansion and retraction deformation movement of the expansion bushing and simultaneous expansion of at least one portion of said casing or container body, with said cam mechanism and actuation means housed in the casing or container body and actuated by a tool.

A joint for furniture uses alternating tabs and slots formed along an edge of first and second furniture panels. The panels are joined together so that tabs in the first panel are disposed in slots in the second panel and tabs in the second panel are disposed in slots in the first panel. This arrangement causes the slots to flex outwardly and the tabs to flex inwardly once assembled and creates residual stress in the assembled joint which stiffens the joint.

A collapsible furniture item having a set of panels that a person without the aid of tools can slidingly interlock with each other to form a standalone upright furniture item and once assembled can be quickly disassembled also without the aid tools to allow the panels to be transported to a different location for quick and efficient assembled into a standalone upright furniture through interlocking engagement between the panels.

ABSTRACT An interlocking frame for selective engagement with a plurality of adjoining interlocking frames is presented herein. The frame includes a frame body that defines an interior portion at least partially enclosed by a plurality of interior walls, a front face, a rear face, and a plurality of peripheral walls. The interlocking frame also includes a plurality of locking tabs each selectively and independently rotationally disposable between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the frame body. Each of the locking tabs has an arm that extends beyond the frame body when the locking tab is disposed in the extended position in order to engage with a corresponding locking slot of an adjacent frame.

A cabinets is provided. The cabinet includes a main panel defining a longitudinal axis and having a top edge. The cabinet also includes a plurality of vertical panels positioned in a laterally spaced relationship along the longitudinal axis of the main panel and in parallel planes each of the vertical panels being orthogonal to the main panel. A storage furniture assembly comprises a first furniture frame panel (10a) extending in a first frame panel plane (P1), a second furniture frame panel (10b) configured to be connected in a fixed relationship to the first furniture frame panel (10a) to extend in a second frame panel plane (P2) at an angle to the first frame panel plane (P1), and a furniture foot assembly comprising a set of furniture feet (26), wherein said first furniture frame panel (10a) is provided With a first set of furniture foot attachment interfaces for attaching said set of furniture feet, and said second furniture frame panel (10b) is provided With a second set of furniture foot attachment interfaces for attaching said set of furniture feet (26), thereby enabling the furniture feet (26) to be attached to either of the first furniture frame panel (10a) and the second furniture frame panel (10b).

Disclosed herein are systems for a magnetic panel joint and magnetically joined, paneled storage units. The magnetic panel joint comprises a first magnetic panel including an angled protrusion defining a first receptacle, a second magnetic panel including a groove body defining a groove and a second receptacle, and a magnetic fastener. The angled protrusion can be removably inserted into the groove to enable alignment of the first receptacle and the second receptacle, and the magnetic fastener can be removably inserted into the aligned receptacles to enable secure coupling of the first magnetic panel and the second magnetic panel. The second magnetic panel may include a slot body defining a slot and a receptacle. An angled protrusion of a third panel can be removably inserted into the slot. Each individual panel may be a horizontal shelf, a vertical wall, or a rear wall or a storage unit.

A cabinet includes two side panels, a top panel, a bottom panel, and a back panel. The cabinet further includes a rectangular front face frame, wherein a side of the front face frame is facing a front facing edge of each of the two side panels, top panel, and bottom panel. Each front facing edge includes an integrally formed and elongate protruding section. A stackable wooden crate that can be assembled and disassembled without tools, and stored flat is provided. The crate may include: two sides with box joint tabs, two sides with matching box joint recesses, a bottom, and a lid. The sides may come together at box joints held together with strap binding that stretches tight when the sides are folded 90 degrees to each other. A modified strap binding on one corner of the box is held tight via a tensioner buckle. The bottom is held captive by the four sides. The lid rests between four tabs that extend upward out of all four sides. When the lid is removed, multiple crates can be stacked, the upper crate held in place by the lower crate's four tabs which interface with recesses on the bottom of the upper crate.
