Rear-mounted swinging tow hitch for self-propelled windrower
A hitch assembly for use by an agricultural machine, in particular a self-propelled windrower, allowing the adjustable position of a hitch for use in both the towing of implements during field operations and the transportation of implements from one location to another. The adjustable hitch advantageously provides stability during the transportation position and is up and out of the way of crop flow during field use.
Center pivot mower with turn compensation
An agricultural mower system includes: a towing vehicle including an engine and a tongue coupler and defining a towing centerline; a mower including a frame carrying cutters and pivotably coupled to a tongue that is pivotably coupled to the tongue coupler, the frame defining a mower centerline that is offset from the towing centerline, the tongue defining a towing angle with respect to the towing centerline and a mower angle with respect to the mower centerline; a mower angle actuator coupled to the tongue and the frame; and a controller configured to: determine the towing angle has changed by a change amount relative to a defined towing angle; determine a turn compensation amount for the mower angle as a function of the change amount and a constant; and output a compensation signal to cause the mower angle actuator to adjust the mower angle by the determined turn compensation amount.
Remote Hydraulic Positioning Of An Implement Stabilizer Wheel
A remotely positionable stabilizer wheel arrangement for a towable agricultural it utilizes an electronic control unit that receives an input signal indicative of a desired position of the stabilizer wheel, and/or a desired depth of penetration of tillage tools operatively attached to the front and rear of the implement frame, to automatically control a hydraulic positioning cylinder of the remotely positionable stabilizer wheel arrangement to position and hold the stabilizer wheel at the desired position of the stabilizer wheel.
Variable offset hitch and related work machines
A hitch may be configured to laterally offset the longitudinal axis of a towed implement with respect to the longitudinal axis of a towing vehicle so as to shift the towed implement to either of a left side or a right side of the towing vehicle. The hitch may provide added reach to either of a left side or a right side of a towing vehicle and provide a significantly reduced turning radius. In some embodiments, the advantages of including a variable offset hitch may be achieved without adding excessive length between a towing vehicle and pulled implement.
COUPLING DEVICE TO CONNECT TWO TRACTOR-PULLED AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENTS FOR TANDEM-POWERED OPERATION
A coupling device to connect and separate first and second agricultural implements for tandem towing behind a tractor and to provide hydraulic power to the second agricultural implement for its powered operation is disclosed. Such coupling device has a frame having a separation distance, first connection means for attaching the frame to the rear of a first agricultural implement, second connection means for attaching the frame to the front of a second agricultural implement, and a hydraulic pump system to power the second agricultural implement. A dolly wheel and spindle assembly may adjoin the frame.
AGRICULTURAL MACHINE
An agricultural machine including a frame, at least one operating unit connected to the frame, at least one wheel or crawler track rotatably attached to the frame to allow the movement of the machine on a supporting surface and a lifting unit operatively interposed between the frame and the wheel or between the frame and the operating unit, configured to vary the height of the operating unit with respect to the supporting surface of the machine. The lifting unit includes at least one hydraulic cylinder provided with a liner, a first and a second piston both slidingly housed inside the liner and arranged in series to define at least a first and a second chamber inside the liner, wherein the first and the second piston can be controlled independently of each other.
Multi-position locking mechanism for a riding lawn care vehicle
A latching assembly (100, 100) for operably coupling a cutting deck (50) to an equipment frame (60) of a riding lawn care vehicle (10) may include a pivot arm (300, 400), and a latch member (310, 410). The pivot arm (300, 400) and the latch member (310, 410) may each be pivotally coupled to each other. The pivot arm (300, 400) and the latch member (310, 410) may also cooperate with each other to affix the cutting deck (50) to the equipment frame (60) in each of a service position and a working position.
SYSTEM FOR FORWARD MOUNTING ATTACHMENTS TO A WHEELED VEHICLE
An apparatus, system, and method of securing attachments to a utility vehicle, particularly a stand-on, zero-turn mower. The apparatus includes an A-shaped mounting assembly having a base with first and second ends and a tubular member extending outwardly from the first end. The tubular member defines a bore that receives a shaft extending from the attachment. The mounting assembly is positioned vertically above a mower deck but on an opposite side of the frame of the mower relative thereto. The second end of the mounting assembly and part of the mower deck are secured to the frame using the same connectors. A hydraulic actuator engages a forwardmost end of the assembly and is actuatable to raise or lower the assembly relative to the frame, pivoting the assembly about the connectors. The attachment and mower deck are substantially simultaneously operable to perform separate landscaping tasks while the mower moves across a surface.
Method of engaging and utilizing an attachment on a power unit
A system and method for detachably securing an attachment to a zero-turn utility vehicle such as a zero-turn, stand-on mower. The system includes a mounting assembly provided on a hydraulically operated support member on the utility vehicle's frame; and a connector assembly provided on the attachment. The mounting assembly includes a pivotable plate member that is inserted into the complementary shaped connector assembly. The plate member includes a locking rod at an upper end. The connector assembly has side walls and a top wall that surround the plate member when the mounting assembly is engaged with the connector assembly. The top wall overhangs and captures the locking rod between the top wall and a back wall of the attachment. A locking mechanism secures the mounting assembly and connector assembly together. Moving the attachment is accomplished by actuating the hydraulic system on the utility vehicle to move the support member.
Header carrying structure for combine
An agricultural combine including a front end adapted for carrying a header via a feeder and an actuator. The combine includes a first connecting structure at an upper segment of the front end, and a second connecting structure at a lower segment of the front end. The combine further includes an intermediate frame including a feeder connector adapted for connecting to the feeder. The intermediate frame further includes a first connector connecting to the first connecting structure and a second connector connecting to the second connecting structure. The combine further includes an actuator connector adapted for connecting to the actuator. The actuator connector is provided at a location of the second connecting structure.
