Plant mixture processing systems
A processing system for processing plant mixture into milk and pulp preferably includes a filter, a plunger mechanism, and a pulp catcher. The filter has a filter wall and floor that together define a chamber. The plunger mechanism (which has a plunger shaft with an actuator end and a plunger head end) is insertable into the chamber. A preferred plunger head at the plunger head end may have at least one clearing blade and/or a first part of a connector. The pulp catcher has a second part of a connector that may connect to the first part of the connector. The processing system may also include a filter lid and/or a ring funnel.
ENCLOSED MEDIA FLUID FILTRATION DEVICE
A filtration device comprising a media basket, a baseplate, and a canister. The media basket is affixed to the baseplate. The canister has a cavity therein and is detachably coupled with the baseplate to enclose the media basket. The media basket contains a porous filtration material that efficiently removes contaminants from liquid. The device is configured to establish a first siphon to convey liquid from outside the device into the canister cavity through a canister pipe when a liquid level outside the filtration device is higher than the top of the weir in the canister pipe and configured to establish a second siphon to convey liquid from canister cavity through the top of a center riser pipe and out an outlet pipe when the first siphon has been established and the liquid level outside the filtration device is higher than the top of the center riser pipe.
Removal of hydrophobic particles using carbon dioxide
A plurality of collection surfaces for use in an aqueous slurry has a polymeric coating to provide a compliant and sticky surface. The polymer coating has a chemical to render the surface hydrophobic so as to attract hydrophobic or hydrophobized mineral particles in the slurry. The substrate can take the form of a conveyor belt, a bead, a mesh, an impeller, a filter or a flat surface. The substrate can also be an open-cell foam. The collection surfaces having the mineral particles attached thereon are caused to interact with liquid and supercritical carbon dioxide so that the mineral particles can be stripped from the collection surfaces.
IN SITU FILTER REJUVENATION SYSTEM
An in situ system of filter rejuvenation has a fluid inlet on a first side of a reaction chamber, a fluid outlet disposed on a second side of the reaction chamber, a filtration chamber with a first wall comprising a ceramic glass material with a pass-band in the infrared spectrum. The filtration chamber is in fluid communication with the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet so that a fluid introduced into the inlet passes through the filtration chamber and exits through the fluid outlet. The system has at least one infrared heating element configured to transmit infrared energy within the pass-band of the ceramic glass material to heat the filter medium disposed within the filtration chamber to a temperature of at least 260° C., which can gasify contaminants without combustion.
In situ rejuvenation of contaminated mechanical filtration medium
An in situ system of filter rejuvenation can be applied to a mechanical filter passing fluid contaminated by chemical and particulate materials such that the filter removes the contaminants from the flow by trapping the contaminants in a filter medium. A non-combustive infrared heating system gasifies the trapped contaminants without combustion and without emissions to the atmosphere, restoring the efficacy of the filtration medium.
System for filtering fluids
A system for filtering fluids includes a primary filter (2) having at least one filter element that can be penetrated in one direction during the filtration process and can be penetrated in the opposite direction for a backflushing process. An aftertreatment device (36) is mounted downstream of the primary filter (2) for the backflushed quantities discharged by the primary filter to be processed and includes at least one filter chamber (11) that holds the backflushed quantities and that has a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and at least one aftertreatment filter element (19). A control device (9) delivers one portion of the backflushed quantity at a time to the associated aftertreatment filter element (19).
Arrangement and method for separating out and removing screenings from wastewater
An apparatus for separating out and removing screenings from wastewater includes a screening device having a screen surface through which the wastewater flows during operation of the screening device and screenings carried along in the wastewater are at least intermittently retained. The apparatus includes a sensor and a controller. The sensor monitors the screenings in the area upstream from the screen surface and/or in the area of the screen surface. The controller outputs a message when the screenings have one or several properties which have been defined and have been recognized by the sensor. In addition, a method for operating the apparatus and a system including the apparatus are provided.
WASTEWATER HEAT EXCHANGE SYSTEM
An apparatus for wastewater filtration having a barrel, a basket and a screw on a shaft rotating therein for pushing solid in a distinct output. A removable cartridge comprises a cover for the barrel, the cartridge comprising a pre-sealed shaft connector which releasably connects to at least the upper shaft portion or the lower shaft portion to form the shaft. The screw comprises a brush on an outer rim thereof, the brush having radially outwardly oriented bristles that scrape an inner surface of the basket. The screw comprises a winged wiper at a bottom thereof for sweeping a bottom surface of the barrel, and the solid-material output is provided at the bottom surface of the barrel and is shaped as a rectangular opening which is offset from a central axis of the screw. Solid removal efficiency and maintenance are thereby improved.
