A quick and efficient method to raise and lower a storage platform, storage container, and/or storage box into any unused overhead space is disclosed. The design comprises a low profile philosophy allowing the storage platform, storage container, and/or storage box to be positioned more closely to the ceiling making better use of any overhead space such as the limited space directly above a garage door. The system relies on a main drive shaft that is designed to allow one or more belts to pass through the main drive shaft thereby creating a base around which the one or more belts can wrap. The present invention is superior to those of the prior art in that there are no weak points found in this system in contrast to those found in cable systems connected to a drum or a flat fiber reinforced strap bolted to a drum. The one or more lifting straps do not terminate on the main drive shaft as do other systems via a wire drum or flat drum but simply passes through the main drive shaft.

Container storage apparatus and system
10271651 · 2019-04-30 ·

An apparatus and system for removably storing a storage container in an area having one or more overhead area supports so as to position the container below the area supports and above the floor of the area. The apparatus has a support rail that mounts to the area supports and a container engaging section that securely holds the container. The container engaging section has a static support assembly and a dynamic support assembly defining a container space for the container. The static support assembly engages one lip of the container. The dynamic support assembly has a dynamic support that connects to a moving mechanism so it will move along the support rail to engage an opposing lip of the container. A biasing mechanism biases the dynamic support toward the static support assembly to secure the container. The support rail can have a channel that encloses the biasing and moving mechanisms.

A unitary dining unit combining table functions and seating, which dining unit solves the above stated problems, is disclosed. The novel dining unit may be oblong, with opposed convex surfaces, to enable occupants to easily view one another, and to assist in fitting the table or desk efficiently within a square or rectangular room of a building. The unitary dining unit integrates a work surface, e.g., a table or desk surface, with seating. The integrated seating has support arms connecting the seating to the table portion, and maintaining all portions of each seat above the floor, thereby leaving space for and facilitating floor cleaning in the area of the furniture. A perimetric wall serves as an aesthetic skirt concealing seat anchorage elements and other utilitarian components from external view.

Stowable seating
20190082834 · 2019-03-21 ·

An activities unit combining a table or other horizontal surface with seating units is shown and described. Seating units may include both permanent or fixed individual seating units and also, at least one additional seating unit movable between a stowed position to a deployed position. Both permanent or fixed seating units and also stowable seating units may each be supported on the activities unit by an arm above floor level. This enables ready cleaning of a floor surface on which the unitized table is placed without having to move seating units out of the way. Construction of the unitized table enables utilitarian components and features which may be deemed unsightly to be concealed, for example, by wood paneling both at a table top and also a depending wall. The table top may overhang the depending wall.

A ceiling mountable unitized fixture providing amenities to people at a desk or table below is shown and described. The unitized fixture can provide in or on a housing, a variety of types of lighting, for serving different types of activities. Auxiliary power is available, either as a fixed, in-place electrical receptacle or alternatively, as a retractable receptacle. An air distribution manifold can be connected to a building heating and/or cooling forced air system, enabling air to be directed downwardly to those seated at a table below. Optionally, a speaker and one or more video screens may be incorporated. Lighting, electrical receptacle extension and retraction, audio, and video screens may be remotely controlled.

A recessed, deployable ceiling box assembly includes a ceiling frame-mounting member and a ceiling box member, a support member for securing the ceiling frame-mounting member to a ceiling structural member and one or more connector members for attaching the ceiling box member to the ceiling frame-mounting member. The ceiling box member is deployable from a retracted position, where the ceiling box member is retained within the ceiling frame-mounting member at or above the height of the ceiling, to a deployed position, where the ceiling box member hangs by the connector member below the height of the ceiling. A door may be used to cover the contents of the deployable ceiling box assembly.

Object carrier and lift

The object carrier for carrying objects is provided, wherein the engaging portions of the shelf member are engaged with the engaged portions of the frame member from top to bottom in the vertical direction to constitute the engagement state between the shelf member and the frame member, the connection line between the engaged portions constitutes an engagement direction, and the shelf member moves in an engagement releasing direction perpendicular to the engagement direction on a horizontal plane to release the engagement state with the frame member. The lift for removing objects from the object carrier is provided, wherein the bearing portion moves in the vertical direction through the lifting portion and bears the shelf member on which the object is placed under the object carrier, and the bearing portion moves in the horizontal direction through the sliding portion, so as to remove the shelf member and the object altogether.

In embodiments, the invention includes an apparatus for accessing a cabinet and a method of using the apparatus. The apparatus includes a drawer slidably mounted to the cabinet and a motorized axis to slide the drawer relative to the cabinet. A box slidably mounts to the drawer and includes another motorized axis to slide the box relative to the drawer. A limit device is adjustable to define a set position as the end of motion of the motorized axis that slides the drawer. The limit device is adjustable to define the extent of motion at one of a plurality of positions. The method includes providing the apparatus and adjusting the limit device to a clear position so that the box clears an obstacle when the drawer is disposed with the drawer motorized axis at the clear position, and operating the switch.
