PROCESS TO PREPARE ADSORBENTS FROM ORGANIC FERTILIZER AND THEIR APPLICATIONS FOR REMOVAL OF ACIDIC GASES FROM WET AIR STREAMS

The invention is directed to an adsorbent comprising: a) 20-30% porous carbon with incorporated organic nitrogen species; and b) 70-80% inorganic matter. The invention is directed to a method of making an adsorbent which comprises: a) thermally drying dewatered sewage sludge to form granulated organic fertilizer; and b) pyrolyzing said the organic fertilizer at temperatures between 600 and 1000° C. The invention is additionally directed to the process of removing acidic gases from wet air streams comprising putting an adsorbent in contact with the wet air stream and allowing the adsorbent to adsorb the acidic gases.

Synergy between component parts of desiccants is disclosed that teaches how to augment performance of desiccants in the reduction of humidity. Single component desiccants lack the synergistic effect. The problem of single component deficiency is solved by the disclosed methods that generally engage the synergy between humidity attracting substances and polymeric substances. Synergy is observed in the improved desiccation being greater than the sum of the desiccating effects of the component parts. Resultant products are dual purpose in that they can be used both as desiccants and component parts of packaging materials.

CARBONIC ACID GAS ABSORBING MATERIAL, CARBONIC ACID GAS RECOVERY SYSTEM, AND CARBONIC ACID GAS RECOVERY METHOD

A carbonic acid gas absorbing material on an embodiment includes a liquid carbonic acid gas absorbent and a solid carbonic acid gas absorbent. The liquid carbonic acid gas absorbent is a solution containing a first amine and a solvent. The solid carbonic acid gas absorbent is a second amine of any one among a polyamine, a base material and an amine fixed to the base material, or a polyamine, a base material, and an amine fixed to the base material.

VAPOR SEPARATOR AND DEHUMIDIFIER USING THE SAME

A vapor separator in an embodiment is arranged between a first space and a second space, and is used to allow vapor existing in the first space to permeate in the second space by making a vapor pressure in the second space lower than a vapor pressure in the first space. The vapor separator in the embodiment includes: a porous body including a first face in contact with the first space and having a convexo-concave structure, a second face in contact with the second space, and fine pores passing to the second face from at least wall of the first face which constitutes the convexo-concave structure; and water existing in the fine pores of the porous body.

METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR PROCESSING A GAS MIXTURE

A method for processing a nitrogen-containing starting gas mixture by vacuum pressure swing adsorption, in which the starting gas mixture is temporarily guided under pressure in a main flow direction through an adsorption unit filled with an adsorbent material. The adsorbent material is provided, in a first region along the main flow direction, predominantly or exclusively in the form of first adsorption bodies; the adsorbent material is provided, in a second region along the main flow direction and downstream of the first region in the form of second adsorption bodies; that at least the second adsorption bodies are provided as composite bodies that have an inner core of a non-porous, non-adsorbent material and an outer layer formed from the adsorbent material; and that the second adsorption bodies have a lower proportion of the adsorbent material, in the body volume, than the first adsorption bodies.

SCRUBBER, ALD PROCESS SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SCRUBBER AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE USING THE SCRUBBER

A method of fabricating a semiconductor device includes providing a wafer inside a process chamber, performing an ALD (atomic layer deposition) process inside the process chamber to deposit titanium nitride on the wafer, providing a process gas used for the ALD process to a scrubber, filtering a first powder contained in the process gas, using a filter unit disposed in the scrubber and including a plurality of filters, adsorbing a second powder remaining in the process gas after passing through the filter unit, using a fin structure extending in a vertical direction inside the filter unit, and exhausting the process gas, from which the first and second powders are removed, from the scrubber.
