REGENERABLE ORGANIC CONTAMINANT CONTROLLER IN SPACE APPLICATION
A regenerable organic contaminant controller includes a carbon hollow fiber module that includes a passage between an inlet and an outlet, on an opposite end of the carbon hollow fiber module from the inlet, such that organic contaminants in contaminated air flowing through the passage are desorbed into pores of the carbon hollow fiber module. The regenerable organic contaminant controller also includes wires coupled to the inlet of the carbon hollow fiber module and to the outlet of the carbon hollow fiber module. The wires heat the carbon hollow fiber module based on a flow of electricity through the wires. The heat causes release of the organic contaminants from the pores of the carbon hollow fiber module.
SPACE RATED ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL AND LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS
A space habitat includes a water processing assembly including a wastewater tank and a water processing section connected to the wastewater tank. The water processing section includes a pump to urge flow of the wastewater, a mostly liquid separator to separate gas from liquid in the wastewater, a catalytic reactor located downstream of the mostly liquid separator, and one or more sensors located downstream of the catalytic reactor to determine if the wastewater is sufficiently processed. A valve directs the wastewater to a water storage tank if the sensors determine that the wastewater is sufficiently processed, and direct the wastewater to the wastewater tank if the one or more sensors determine that the wastewater is not sufficiently processed. The space habitat further includes one or more of a carbon dioxide removal system, a trace contaminant removal system, a temperature and humidity control system or a waste collection system.
USE OF FERMENTATION TAIL GAS IN INTEGRATED GASIFICATION AND GAS FERMENTATION SYSTEM
The disclosure provides for the separation and combustion of at least one hydrocarbon, oxygenate, sulfur compound, and or nitrogen compound, from industrial gas or gasification derived syngas to generate steam. A gasification process and a gas fermentation process may be integrated using tail gas from the fermentation process for the flame to combust tar and other compounds from the syngas generated by a gasification process. Integration may be achieved by removing tar and other compounds from industrial gas or gasification derived syngas using an adsorbent and regenerating the adsorbent using tail gas from the gas fermentation process. Tail gas enriched with the desorbed tar and other compounds may be used to generate steam in a steam boiler and the steam may be used for a variety of purposes including power generation to power, for example, a compressor of the gas fermentation process.
METHODS OF MONITORING GAS BYPRODUCTS OF A BONDING SYSTEM, AND RELATED MONITORING SYSTEMS AND BONDING SYSTEMS
A method of monitoring gas byproducts of a bonding system is provided. The method includes: providing a plurality of bonding systems, each of the bonding systems including a reducing gas delivery system for use in connection with a bonding operation, each of the bonding systems being configured for exhausting gas byproducts; connecting each of the bonding systems to a monitoring device using a respective gas delivery path; and monitoring a composition of at least a portion of the gas byproducts with the monitoring device.
PLASTIC PYROLYSIS OIL PRETREATMENT
Process for converting waste plastics to refining feedstock. The process includes conducting pyrolysis of a plastic feedstock comprising waste plastics to produce a liquid stream of plastic pyrolysis oil; directly feeding the liquid stream of plastic pyrolysis oil to an adsorption based purification process to generate a treated plastic pyrolysis oil stream; and collecting the treated plastic pyrolysis oil stream from the adsorption vessel for further processing into value added products as a feedstock for conventional refining processes. The adsorption based purification process includes contacting the liquid stream of plastic pyrolysis oil with one or more adsorbent materials in an adsorption vessel, the adsorbent materials with at least one of the one or more adsorbent materials being configured for adsorption of organic molecules having heteroatoms of each of sulfur, nitrogen, oxygen, and chlorine. Such system may be integrated with a conventional refinery.
EVAPORATIVE FUEL VAPOR EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEMS
An evaporative emission control canister system comprises an initial adsorbent volume having an effective incremental adsorption capacity at 25° C. of greater than 35 grams n-butane/L between vapor concentration of 5 vol % and 50 vol % n-butane, and at least one subsequent adsorbent volume having an effective incremental adsorption capacity at 25° C. of less than 35 grams n-butane/L between vapor concentration of 5 vol % and 50 vol % n-butane, an effective butane working capacity (BWC) of less than 3 g/dL, and a g-total BWC of between 2 grams and 6 grams. The evaporative emission control canister system has a two-day diurnal breathing loss (DBL) emissions of no more than 20 mg at no more than 210 liters of purge applied after the 40 g/hr butane loading step.

The invention further provides a method for preparing said compounds and compositions as well as a redox flow battery comprising said compounds and compositions. Additionally, an assembly for carrying out the inventive method is provided.
Method and apparatus to extract products from heat treatment process
The present invention relates to a method for treating a vent gas steam from heat treatment of plant biomass. The invention also relates to an apparatus for performing the method for treating a vent gas steam from heat treatment of plant biomass.
SURGICAL SMOKE TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR POLAR AND NONPOLAR GASES
A surgical treatment system for contaminated air streams having particulate contamination, polar contamination and/or nonpolar contamination in the gas or vapor stream. A surgical smoke plume treatment system and method provide or define a multi-stage treatment process that mechanically filters the air stream, followed by nonpolar decontamination and then polar decontamination or treatment. The system may be used stand alone or incorporated and used with other surgical instruments or incorporated into an air handler adapted to decontaminate an air stream. A desiccant may optionally be used to remove water from the air stream.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION SYSTEM
The present invention provides an exhaust gas purification system. In the exhaust gas purification system, a shower nozzle 20 disperses liquid toward exhaust gas 11 from an upper portion of the exhaust gas 11. The dispersed liquid is mixed with the exhaust gas 11 and thereafter, the liquid accumulates in a tank 30, and odor and oil content are dissolved by action of microorganism included in the liquid in the tank 30. The shower nozzle 20 is connected to an opening 24 horizontally provided in a nozzle pipe 23 connected to a liquid-supply pipe conduit 22. The exhaust gas purification system includes a nozzle 20N directed to a downward dispersing direction of the liquid. The nozzle 20N is placed in the nozzle pipe 23 such that a lower end 20L of the nozzle 20N is located higher than a bottom 25 of an inner wall of a pipe conduit of the nozzle pipe 23. According to this, exhaust gas including odor and oil content is purified.
