Gas scrubbing process for purifying raw synthesis gas by physical absorption in methanol
The invention relates to a gas scrubbing process and plant for purifying raw synthesis gas by physical absorption in methanol. A raw synthesis gas stream which includes hydrogen and carbon monoxide as desired constituents and water and acid gases as undesired constituents is admixed with methanol and subsequently cooled below the freezing point of water. According to the invention a liquid phase including methanol and water is separated from the cooled raw synthesis gas stream. Acid gases are removed from the remaining gaseous phase by physical absorption in methanol at elevated pressure. Separating the water from the raw synthesis gas stream before the absorption of the acid gases prevents larger amounts of water passing into the methanol circuit of the gas scrubbing process. This achieves savings in resources and certain plant parts may be smaller than is customary.
Automatic water handling device of air compressor
An automatic water handling device of an air compressor includes a barrel and a pneumatic cylinder. The barrel has an interior space in which a division board formed with through holes is mounted to define a first chamber in which a desiccant agent is disposed and a second chamber. The barrel has a gas outlet opening connected with a gas accumulation tank. The second chamber has a gas inlet opening to receive compressed air. An electromagnetic valve is in connection with the second chamber and is connected to a timer for activation at predetermined time points by the timer to drive the pneumatic cylinder to open a control valve to drain off water removed from compressed air.
RECEPTACLE FOR HOLDING AN ACTIVE SUBSTANCE AND CORRESPONDING CAP AND CONTAINER
A receptacle is designed for a chamber for an active substance. The receptacle includes two main elements. A first element is a transverse wall with a first main side facing an interior of the chamber, and a peripheral wall formed with the first main side of the transverse wall. A second element includes a bottom wall and a sheath extending from the bottom wall. The peripheral wall and the sheath surround one another and are in contact with each other so that the chamber is formed between the bottom wall, the transverse wall, the peripheral wall and/or the sheath. At least one ventilation groove is provided between the peripheral wall and the sheath form a ventilation channel connecting the chamber with the outside atmosphere.
GAS DRYER
This gas dryer includes: a first drying tower having a first desiccant provided therein; and a second drying tower having a second desiccant provided therein. Either the first drying tower or the second drying tower is switched to a drying circuit side for drying hydrogen gas of an electric device, and another of the first drying tower or the second drying tower is switched to a reactivation circuit side for reactivating the first desiccant or the second desiccant provided therein. The gas dryer includes a cooler which is provided on the reactivation circuit side and which, with only supply of compressed air, generates air having such a temperature that can condense moisture in the gas on the reactivation circuit side.
COPOLYMERS WITH HARD POLYAMIDE BLOCKS AND SOFT BLOCKS COMPRISING POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL
A method relating to a copolymer containing rigid polyamides blocks and flexible blocks including, relative to the total weight of the copolymer: from 55% to 90% by weight of flexible blocks, including at least 35% by weight from polyethylene glycol; from 10% to 45% by weight of rigid polyamide blocks, in which the mean carbon content of the repeating units of the polyamide blocks is greater than or equal to 7. A method also relating to a process for preparing such a copolymer, to a membrane including such a copolymer and to a process for preparing such a membrane.
Arrangement for a utility vehicle
An arrangement for a utility vehicle includes at least one air dryer unit and a regulating unit, wherein the air dryer unit and the regulating unit are designed in each case as separate units. The air dryer unit has at least one air dryer module, in particular an air dryer cartridge, at least one discharge valve and at least one control line for the pneumatic control of the discharge valve. At least one connecting line is provided in the air dryer unit with connection to the air dryer module. The connecting line leads directly to a consumer non-return valve for the air dryer unit, which is arranged outside of the air dryer unit, wherein the connecting line can be used at least partially bi-directionally and/or can be or is connected to a bi-directionally usable line section.
Mercury Removal by Injection of reagents in Gas Phase
The present invention is directed to the removal of mercury from a gas phase by injecting a scavenger solution into the gas phase.
