SODIUM-CESIUM VAPOR TRAP SYSTEM AND METHOD
Sodium-cesium trap systems and methods for the simultaneous removal of both sodium (Na) and cesium (Cs) in gas are provided. The trap system includes a contacting vessel having an inlet and an outlet with carrier gas channeled therethrough. A heating system maintains a temperature gradient across the contacting vessel between a first temperature at the inlet and a second temperature at the outlet such that sodium and cesium contained within the carrier gas are condensed into liquid and the carrier gas exiting the vessel is substantially free of sodium and cesium.
Process for removal of mycotoxins from insoluble plant-derived protein
The present invention is directed to a process for the removal of mycotoxins from insoluble plant-derived protein using density-based particle separators. The end product contains a substantial portion of the proteins, including insoluble proteins, and a low concentration of mycotoxin. The process is particularly useful for removing aflatoxins from corn meal protein.
ODOR ABSORBING PAINT AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
A method and system relate to an odor absorbing paint and a preparation method thereof. Some embodiments of the disclosure provide a method for making an odor absorbing paint by binding activated carbon particles to tourmaline particles with acrylic emulsion as an adhesive. In other embodiments, the tourmaline particle component in the odor absorbing paint can release negative ions for a long time. These released negative ions can form neutral coordination compounds with indoor toxic and harmful gas particles. In further embodiments, the coconut shell activated carbon particle component can adsorb the neutral coordination compounds, so that the toxic and harmful gas particles will remain in tubular micropores inside the activated carbon, and will not be desorbed to leave.
A FILTERING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TREATING POLLUTED AIR IN INDOOR SPACES
The invention relates to a filtering apparatus and method for treating polluted indoor air, which can be operated by gas scrubbers, adsorbers, or through the use of a microbial biodegrading medium for polluting gases, wherein said apparatus allows the biofiltration method to be efficient and applicable in indoor spaces. The technical problem of the efficiency of the filter has to do with said filter being able to process the greatest amount of pollutants during a minimum residence time and with a filter bed volume that allows the application thereof in apparatus that have an adequate size for indoor spaces, such as spaces inside the household, i.e., allowing the reactor to operate at maximum capacity without having to increase the size thereof.
AIR TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An air treatment unit may include an air inlet to receive a flow of input air for treatment and a reaction reservoir configured to hold an aqueous air treatment solution. The air treatment unit may also include an air dispersing element flow connected with the air inlet, wherein the air dispersing element is configured to convert at least a portion of the flow of input air into a plurality of microbubbles for introduction into the aqueous air treatment solution, such that an amount of one or more target gas species contained within the plurality of microbubbles is reduced through reaction with the aqueous air treatment solution. The unit may include an air outlet configured to output treated air from the reaction reservoir.
OXIDATION OF CESIUM AS METHOD FOR REMOVING CESIUM VAPOR FROM COVER GAS IN NUCLEAR REACTORS
A method of removing cesium vapor from a cover gas stream in a nuclear reactor includes the steps of oxidizing the cesium vapor in the cover gas stream to yield cesium oxide particles and removing the cesium oxide particles using a particle filter. The method yields a filtered cover gas having zero to about 2% of the cesium vapor content of the initial cover gas stream, representing a reduction of at least about 98 percent.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR WET CLEANING A GAS STREAM
An apparatus and method for wet cleaning a gas stream has a housing with a gas inlet and a gas outlet, wherein, in the housing, there is at least a first washing segment that serves to clean the gas stream with a washing liquid and that is arranged in the flow path of the gas stream. Inside the housing of the apparatus, there is at least one fan that regulates air pressure along the flow path of the gas stream. A bypass channel for bypassing the flow path through the at least one washing segment as well as a regulator that is arranged in the bypass and that serves to discharge the gas stream being conveyed via the bypass channel are arranged inside the housing.
Sodium cesium vapor trap system and method
Sodium-cesium trap systems and methods for the simultaneous removal of both sodium (Na) and cesium (Cs) in gas are provided. The trap system includes a contacting vessel having an inlet and an outlet with carrier gas channeled therethrough. A heating system maintains a temperature gradient across the contacting vessel between a first temperature at the inlet and a second temperature at the outlet such that sodium and cesium contained within the carrier gas are condensed into liquid and the carrier gas exiting the vessel is substantially free of sodium and cesium.
Apparatus and method for cleaning sterilizer exhaust gas
An apparatus for cleaning exhaust gas. The apparatus includes a housing having an upstream end configured to receive exhaust gas and a downstream end configured to release the exhaust gas. At least one coalescing filter layer and a catalyst filter layer are disposed within the housing. The catalyst filter layer includes molded sintered pellets formed from a porous material and a non-precious metal catalyst. The molded sintered pellets create a porous area for coalescing oil mist, and the catalyst hydrogen peroxide.
Air cleaner
The present invention relates to an air cleaner and, more particularly, to an air cleaner provided with a housing divided into an outer housing and an inner housing, wherein the outer housing and the inner housing are separated from one another, a photocatalytic filter and a collection filter are installed in the inner housing, and air flows even through the space between the inner housing and the outer housing. The present invention provides an air cleaner comprising: an outer housing defining an inlet and an outlet; an inner housing disposed in the outer housing and formed to be separated from the outer housing; a fan installed in the inner housing to forcibly discharge air in the outlet direction; a photocatalytic filter installed in the inner housing and disposed in the direction in which air from the fan is discharged or in the direction opposite to that in which the air is discharged; and an ultraviolet light source disposed upstream of the photocatalytic filter in the direction of airflow created by the fan in order to irradiate the photocatalytic filter with ultraviolet rays.
