System and method for processing greenhouse gases
A system for processing greenhouse gases including a collection subsystem configured to collect a gaseous mixture including carbon dioxide and methane, a combustion subsystem configured to combust the methane in the gaseous mixture and output a gaseous combustion effluent, wherein the combustion subsystem generates electrical energy, water and additional quantities of carbon dioxide, and a separation subsystem configured to separate the carbon dioxide from the gaseous combustion effluent.
PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING ENTRAINED AMINES FROM A GAS STREAM
This disclosure relates to a process for removing acid gases from a gas stream enriched in acid gases, wherein: (a) the gas stream enriched in acid gases is contacted in an absorption zone with an absorption medium, wherein the absorption medium is an aqueous medium comprising an amine, to form a gas stream depleted in acid gases which comprises an entrained amine and an absorption medium enriched in acid gases; and (b) treating the gas stream depleted in acid gases which comprises an entrained amine in a scrubbing zone with a scrubbing medium, wherein the scrubbing medium is an aqueous medium comprising an amine, the amount of amine comprised by the scrubbing medium being about 0 to about 10.0 wt. %, to form a gas stream depleted in acid gases and in amine and a scrubbing medium enriched in amine.
METAL ORGANIC FRAMEWORKS FOR REMOVAL OF COMPOUNDS FROM A FLUID
Embodiments provide a method of compound removal from a fluid. The method includes contacting one or more metal organic framework (MOF) compositions with a fluid and sorbing one or more compounds, such as CO.sub.2, H.sub.2S and condensable hydrocarbons. One or more of CO.sub.2, H.sub.2S and condensable hydrocarbons can be sorbed simultaneously or in series. The metal organic framework can be an M-soc-MOF.
Method for preparing solids from a mixture of at least one malachite powder and an oxide powder and the use of said solids
The invention relates to a method for preparing a solid comprising the mixture of a set of compounds comprising at least one Cu.sub.2(OH).sub.2CO.sub.3 powder, one metal oxide powder selected from the group of metals consisting of copper, zinc, iron, manganese and mixtures thereof, and at least one binder as well as the use of the solid prepared by means of this method.
Gas purification method
The rate of recovery of a purification target gas from a gas purification apparatus that uses a PSA device is improved, and both a high purity and a high recovery rate are achieved with good power efficiency. The present invention is directed to a gas purification method using the PSA method, in which a carbon molecular sieve having a pore volume, at a pore diameter of 0.38 nm or more, of not exceeding 0.05 cm.sup.3/g and a pore volume, at a pore diameter of 0.34 nm, of 0.15 cm.sup.3/g or more, in a pore diameter distribution measured by the MP method is used as an adsorbent, and, in an adsorption step, a miscellaneous gas is adsorbed from a source gas by bringing the source gas into contact with the adsorbent for 10 seconds or more and 6000 seconds or less so as to obtain a concentrated methane.
REUSABLE POLYMERIC MATERIAL FOR REMOVING SILOXANE COMPOUNDS IN BIOGAS, METHOD THEREBY AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
Provided are a reusable polymeric material for removing siloxane compounds in biogas, a method for removing siloxane using the same, and an apparatus therefor, and more particularly, a polyacrylate-based polymer absorbent for removing siloxane compounds in biogas and a method for removing siloxane compounds in biogas. The method for removing siloxane compounds in biogas includes (a) providing the biogas, and b) absorbing the siloxane compounds in a polymer absorbent by passing the biogas through the polymer absorbent according to any one of claims 1 to 5.
Process and plant for purification of waste from zootechnical sources
A process for purification of waste from zootechnical sources or from small agri-food companies is provided. A plant for carrying out the wastewater treatment process is also provided.
Epoxide-based hydrogen sulfide scavengers
Disclosed herein are scavenging compounds and compositions useful in applications relating to the production, transportation, storage, and separation of crude oil and natural gas. Also disclosed herein are methods of using the compounds and compositions as scavengers, particularly in applications relating to the production, transportation, storage, and separation of crude oil and natural gas.
Control of gas composition of a gas separation system having membranes
The present invention relates to a method of controlling a gas separation plant, to a plant thus controlled and also to its use for separation of gas mixtures, especially in the processing of biogas or natural gas, or syngas.
Combustion system
A biogas combustion system that obtains a stable output and saves energy is realized. A combustion system comprises a separation portion 14 that removes carbon dioxide from a treatment target gas containing a mixture gas containing methane as a main component and containing carbon dioxide to obtain methane gas of a high purity in which at least a content of carbon dioxide has been reduced, and a combustion portion 15 that combusts the methane gas. The separation portion 14 includes a first treatment chamber 11 and a second treatment chamber 12 separated from each other by a separation membrane 13 therebetween. The separation membrane 13 selectively allows the carbon dioxide in the treatment target gas supplied to the first treatment chamber 11 to pass therethrough to the second treatment chamber 12 to obtain a first separation gas having a higher methane purity than the treatment target gas in the first treatment chamber 11 and a second separation gas containing the carbon dioxide in the treatment target gas in the second treatment chamber 12.
