ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM UTILIZING AN ANION CONDUCTING MEMBRANE
An environmental control system employs an electrolysis cell utilizing an anion conducting membrane. A power supply is coupled across the anode and cathode of the electrolysis cell to drive reactions to reduce oxygen and/or carbon dioxide in an output gas flow. A cathode enclosure may be coupled with the electrolysis cell and provide an input gas flow and receive the output gas flow. A first electrolysis cell may be utilized to reduce the carbon dioxide concentration in an output flow that is directed to a second electrolysis cell, that reduces the concentration of oxygen. The oxygen and/or carbon dioxide may be vented from the system and used for an auxiliary purpose. An electrolyte solution may be configured in a loop from a reservoir to the anode, to provide a flow of electrolyte solution to the anode. Moisture from the cathode may be collected and provided to the anode.
NURSERY BASED DEVICES WITH CONNECTIVITY TO IOT ECOSYSTEM
The present disclosure presents infant soothing devices which provide timed, color, and intensity controlled light and sound projections to assist in sleep therapy. The devices may be part of a smart nursery which has a number of electronically connected devices which communicate with a central electronic application to gather information and provide operation instructions to the devices. The smart nursery may be connected to a larger network to provide feedback and controllability outside of the nursery.
Electrical filter structure
This publication discloses a filter unit connectable to a mobile communication device including a fan for generating an air flow inside the filter unit, electrodes covered with a photo catalytic material like TiO.sub.2 in the air flow, UV-LEDs illuminating the electrodes, and outlet for the air flow directed in direction of user of filter unit.
Adapter for modular catalytic monoliths
Adapters, devices, and methods are provided that permit catalytic monolith modules to be used in catalytic converter systems designed for fixed bed catalysts using granular catalysts. The adapter provides air flow straightening upstream from the catalytic monoliths, mitigating non-uniform flow into the catalytic monoliths. The adapter is reusable, allowing simple replacement of spent catalytic monolith modules.
Air separation modules, nitrogen generation systems, and methods of making air separation modules
An air separation module includes a canister extending between a first end and an opposite second end, a separator fixed within the canister to separate a compressed air flow into an oxygen-enriched air flow fraction and an oxygen-depleted air flow fraction, and a one-piece cap. The one-piece cap is connected to the first end of the canister and has a filter module mount portion on a side of the one-piece cap opposite the separator to support a filter module with the air separation module. Nitrogen generation systems and methods of making air separation modules are also described.
AIR CLEANING SYSTEM
Provided an air cleaning system, which includes: a first reactor which has a first inlet and a first outlet and in which a channel is formed; a first moisture adsorption filter and a first water-soluble gas pollutant adsorption filter that are provided inside the first reactor and are provided so that a gas passes therethrough sequentially while flowing along the channel from the first inlet to the first outlet; a plurality of first magnetrons that are provided at a lateral portion of the first reactor so as to correspond respectively to the first moisture adsorption filter and the first water-soluble gas pollutant adsorption filter and selectively apply microwaves to the first moisture adsorption filter and the first water-soluble gas pollutant adsorption filter; and a heat exchanger that receives hot air containing a water-soluble gas pollutant and moisture, both of which are desorbed from the first moisture adsorption filter and the first water-soluble gas pollutant adsorption filter and are discharged by the first outlet, condenses the moisture into water, and dissolves and discharges the water-soluble gas pollutant in the condensed water. According to the present invention, the air cleaning system can unify a dehumidifying process and a water-soluble gas pollutant removing process to simplify an air cleaning process, recover and recycle waste heat by introducing microwaves and the heat exchanger so as to contribute to energy saving, and be used semi-permanently without a need to periodically replace a filter.
