Mobile Purification Device Having Heated Filter for Killing Biological Species, Including COVID-19
An apparatus is used with supplied power for treating air in an environment. A housing is mobile in the environment and has an intake and an exhaust. At least one prime mover disposed in the housing between the intake and the exhaust is operable to move the air in the environment through the housing from the intake to the exhaust. At least one ultraviolet light source disposed in the housing is connected in electrical communication with the supplied power and is configured to generate ultraviolet radiation in at least one a portion of the housing through which the moved air passes from the intake to the exhaust. At least one permeable barrier disposed in the housing is configured to impede the moved air flow therethrough up to an impedance threshold. The at least one permeable barrier is connected in electrical communication to the supplied power and being heated to a surface temperature.
IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO FILTERS
A removable filter is provided. The filter comprises a porous substrate; and an anti-pathogenic coating provided on at least part of the porous substrate. The concentration of the coating varies across the substrate to provide a coating pattern.
Material, device, and method for deactivating pathogen in aerosol, and methods for manufacturing thereof
A pathogen-deactivating fibrous material is coated with salt crystals or salt crystal layer. The salt crystals or coating on the supporting fibrous material layer dissolves upon exposure to pathogenic aerosols and recrystallizes during evaporation of water from the pathogenic aerosols. Recrystallization of the salt deactivates pathogens. The pathogen-deactivating fibrous material can be used in a sanitizing fabric, an air filtering device, such as respiratory devices, masks, furnace filter devices, air conditioning device, vehicle cabin filter device, etc., and can provide a universal personal protection for preventing infections.
Miniature gas detection and purification device
A miniature gas detection and purification device is disclosed for a user to carry with himself, and includes a main body, a purification module, a gas guider and a gas detection module. The gas detection module detects gas of surrounding environment to obtain a gas detection datum, and controls the gas guider to be operated according to the gas detection datum, so that gas is inhaled into the main body and flows through the purification module for filtration and purification, and the gas purified is finally guided to a region close to the user.
Wall-mounted air purifier
This application provides a wall-mounted air purifier, including a casing, a filter mounted in the casing, and a fan mounted in the casing. The casing is provided with an air inlet and an air outlet, and the air outlet is located at the position corresponding to the outlet of the fan, the filter is located between the air inlet and the fan, an ultraviolet light source is also mounted in the casing, and the ultraviolet light source is arranged between the air inlet and the fan. The wall-mounted air purifier provided in the present application filters and purifies the air by providing a filter in the casing; and an ultraviolet light source is mounted in the casing to sterilize and disinfect the gas entering the air inlet and purify the air, improve air purification capacity.
MESH MATERIALS FOR CONTROLLED RELEASE OF ANTIVIRALS, METHOD AND USE
Mesh materials for the controlled release of antimicrobial and antiviral compounds, with high antiviral activity and efficacy, predominantly against coronavirus, and a method for producing mesh materials with inclusion compounds of bisbiguanide:cyclodextrin, using mesh materials selected from polymers, fibers, nonwoven fabric, fabrics, paper and cellulose, individually or in combination, or a combination of one or more of these mesh materials with adhesives. The mesh materials impregnated, extruded, saturated, coated or laminated with inclusion compounds have been shown to be effective in the deactivation/destruction of viral particles. In fabrics, the inclusion compounds exhibited virucidal activity for all of the viruses in the coronavirus group for contact times of above 2 minutes, with the effect thereof lasting for more than 30 days. The mesh materials for controlled release of antivirals have displayed activity which is up to 1000 times more effective than the use of unencapsulated chlorhexidine.
UV-C LIGHT IN THE VENTILATOR UNIT OF INDIVIDUALLY VENTILATED CAGING SYSTEM
This invention claims Individually Ventilated Caging system (IVC system) for small animals comprising a Ventilation Unit (1) comprising an initial supply chamber (12) for taking external air inside the system for filtering and supplying to the cages in IVC system and an exhaust chamber (22) for exhausting the used air collected from the cages in the IVC system; the supply chamber and the exhaust chamber provided with filter/s (13),(14), (17), (18) for the incoming or outgoing/exhausting air; wherein the IVC system is characterized by devices additional to the filters for disinfecting incoming air and/or disinfecting out-going air exhausted from the cages. The additional devices comprise (a) UVC light (15), and/or (b) one or more electrostatic air filter/s and/or (3) an ionizer on supply and or exhaust side.
AIR PURIFIERS
In certain exemplary embodiments, an air purifier comprises a housing defining an enclosure and having an air entrance and an air exit; a particulate filter; a NCCO filter material configured to adsorb and decompose at least one gaseous pollutant; an AOG configured to generate at least one oxidant; an oxidant remover configured to remove at least one oxidant; a fan unit configured to generate airflow from the air entrance to the air exit; wherein the particulate filter, the NCCO filter material, the AOG, the oxidant remover and the fan unit are positioned within the enclosure such that during operation, a flow of air passes from the air entrance to the air exit through the particulate filter and the NCCO filter material along a direction of the flow of air. In certain embodiments, the air purifier may ensure safety to users while efficiency in removing contaminants can be greatly improved.
ANTIVIRAL COMMODE
An antiviral commode has a base structure including a toilet water bowl having an upper rim, a seat and top lid hinge mounted to the base structure a filter assembly including a high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter disposed within a porous and metallic filter track housing mounted to the underside of the toilet top lid concentric to the toilet seat making uniform surface contact on one end with the top surface of the toilet seat when the toilet seat and top lid are closed, electronics for initiating flushing, a power source for powering the electronics, and at least one visual indicia for notification of state.
