System and device for customization of cosmetics
The presently disclosed subject matter relates to a system and method for customizing a cosmetic product. The system includes: an interface device, in electronic communication with a single batch cosmetic device. A container configured, to be imported into the single batch cosmetic device containing a base. The single batch cosmetic device configured to formulate a customized cosmetic product by mixing a cosmetic additive with the base inside the imported container using at least one mixing element. The container exported from the single batch cosmetic device containing the customized cosmetic.
CONTAINER LID FOR A CONTAINER, AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FILLING A CONTAINER
A container lid for a container for holding liquid or paste-like products has a lid body, which can be fixed to a container housing of the container via a container opening. By a manually operable metering dispenser device a predefinable quantity of the product can be dispensed from the container housing through a product dispensing opening of the metering dispenser device when an actuating element of the metering dispenser device is actuated. A mixing device for the product located in the container has a displaceable mixing element, which is operatively connected to the actuating element of the metering dispenser device and which is displaced by an actuation of the actuating element. In a filling process, the container is filled with several product components and mixed in a mixing step with the aid of the mixing device located on the container lid before the container is sealed with the container lid.
FLUID MIXING SYSTEMS WITH ADJUSTABLE MIXING ELEMENT
A fluid mixing system includes a support housing having an interior surface bounding a chamber. A flexible bag is disposed within the chamber of the support housing, the flexible bag having an interior surface bounding a compartment. An impeller is disposed within the chamber of the flexible bag. A drive shaft is coupled with the impeller such that rotation of the drive shaft facilitates rotation of the impeller. A drive motor assembly is coupled with the draft shaft and is adapted to rotate the drive shaft. An adjustable arm assembly is coupled with the drive motor assembly and is adapted to move the drive motor assembly which in turn moves the position of the drive shaft and impeller. An electrical controller can control movement of the adjustable arm.
FLUID MIXING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
A fluid mixing system includes a flexible bag having a first end, an opposing second end, and an interior surface bounding a compartment; a retainer coupled to the second end of the flexible bag, the retainer having a retention cavity formed thereon that communicates with the compartment of the flexible bag; and an elongated member having a first end rotatably coupled to the first end of the flexible bag and an opposing second end freely disposed within the retention cavity of the retainer so that the second end of the elongated member can rotate within the retention cavity relative to the retainer.
Mixing apparatus and method of operation
An apparatus (100) for mixing a liquid (160) containing particulates (106, 108) comprising: a vessel (102) for containing the liquid (160) with a sidewall (120) and bottom (124); an impeller (300) rotates about a substantially vertical axis (X-X), the impeller submerging below the liquid surface (162) by a distance approximately one-tenth to one-half of the liquid (129) height; at least two spaced apart blades (310) extending radially outwardly of the vertical axis, the blades including back-swept blades pitched substantially parallel to the vertical axis, at least 50% of the length of each blade comprising an angled section (312) extending through a chord angle of 20 to 60 degrees to produce: an inner, upward flow region (164) along said vertical axis, a transition flow region (166) around the impeller in which liquid moves radially outwardly toward the vessel sidewall, and an outer, downward flow region (168) along the sidewall.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING A SELF-CONTAINED, VACUUM-PRODUCING MIXING APPARATUS
Systems and methods for providing and using a bone cement mixer are described. While the systems can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a container that is configured to hold an amount of bone cement, a drive shaft coupled to the container, a mixing arm that is coupled to the container and configured to mix the bone cement when the bone cement is disposed within the container, and a vacuum pump configured to draw gas from within the container to form at least a partial vacuum within the container. In some cases, the drive shaft is mechanically coupled to the mixing arm and the vacuum pump such that rotation of the drive shaft forces the mixing arm to move and the vacuum pump to be actuated. Other implementations are also described.
Fluid mixing system with steady support
A fluid mixing system includes a flexible bag having a first end, an opposing second end, and an interior surface bounding a compartment. A first rotational assembly includes a first casing mounted to the first end of the flexible bag and a first hub rotatably mounted to the first casing. A second rotational assembly includes a second casing mounted to the second end of the flexible bag and a second hub rotatably mounted to the second casing. A connector has a first end coupled with the first hub and an opposing second end coupled with the second hub, the connector being flexible and having a uniform flexibility along its entire length. A first impeller is mounted to the connector.
FLUID MIXING APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR MIXING AND IMPROVING HOMOGENEITY OF FLUIDS
Apparatus that mixes non-homogenous fluid. A threaded shaft within a housing circulates fluid within a container to effect mixing. In one embodiment, when placed in a container of fluid, the housing the fluid is recirculated through opposing ends of the housing. In an embodiment of a related method for mixing, a pump housing containing a screw journaled for rotation receives fluid within a container and conveys the fluid therethrough to circulate a fluid portion in the container along an exterior surface of the housing for mixing with another fluid portion to improve fluid homogeneity. After mixing, the portion of the fluid which first circulates through the housing may recirculate through the housing with said another portion of the fluid. The fluid may be continuously mixed and recirculated through the housing.
Collet locking shaft assembly
A universal driven shaft retaining system includes a collet chuck holder that circumferentially engages a collet chuck with substantially inward compression during inward co-linear movement of a drawing bar creating a clamping (locking) effect on an inserted driven shaft.
Methods, materials and apparatus for treating bone and other tissue
A method of treating a vertebra, comprising: (a) accessing an interior of a vertebra; and (b) introducing a sufficient amount of artificial biocompatible material which does not set to a hardened condition in storage, into said bone, with sufficient force to move apart fractured portions of said bone.
