System, device and method for delivery of biomaterials for fracture fixation
The invention relates to a delivery system, device and method for delivering biomaterials for fracture fixation (including augmented fixation), in particular, for delivery of bone cements. The mixing system ensures the biomaterial only commences setting upon extrusion from the mixer, cannula or during injection through an appropriate internal fracture fixation device, allowing for rapid closing by the surgeon. The system also permits the surgeon to cease injecting the cement for an extended period of time before continuing the injection in another area using the same cartridge, through the simple removal of one mixer and attaching another in its place. The invention also provides a method of delivery of biomaterials to a desired implantation site.
Two-component mixing capsule, in particular for dental purposes
The disclosure relates to a two-component mixing capsule for intake and for mixing of two compositions with a capsule housing having a discharge spout at its front end, wherein the mixing capsule comprises a first mixing chamber and a second mixing chamber, wherein the two mixing chambers may be separated from each other for storage or for transport, by the first mixing chamber being rotatable into a first position in which the first mixing chamber is separated from mixing chamber, by a rotatably mounted handhold element, the rotational axis of which is approximately perpendicularly arranged to the longitudinal axis of the mixing capsule. The two mixing chambers form a common mixing chamber by rotating the first mixing chamber into a second position in which the central axes of the first and second mixing chamber are substantially coaxially arranged, wherein the composition may be discharged after mixing by attaching a squeezing piston.
MIXING VALVE ASSEMBLY HAVING AN ATOMIZING SPRAY TIP
A valve including a feed mechanism, a mixing element operably connected to the feed mechanism, wherein the feed mechanism delivers at least two fluids to the mixing element, the at least two fluids being mixed in the mixing element, and an air cap disposed proximate an outlet of the mixing element to atomize the mixed fluids exiting the outlet of the mixing element, is provided. Furthermore, an associated method is also provided.
Gas treatment system and method
An embodiment gas treatment system (10) includes a gas treatment chamber (12). The gas treatment chamber (12) is separated into (i) a chemical agent chamber (14) adapted to store a liquid chemical agent and (ii) a gas/chemical agent mixing chamber (18) in fluid communication with the chemical agent chamber (14). The system (10) includes an atomising assembly (20) operatively associated with the gas/chemical agent mixing chamber (18) and a pressurised gas supply assembly (22) in operative fluid communication with the atomising assembly (20). The system also includes a chemical agent supply assembly (24) to provide fluid communication between the chemical agent chamber (14) and the atomising assembly (20) wherein the atomising assembly (20) is operatively adapted to atomise liquid chemical agent into a stream of pressurised gas fed from the pressurised gas supply assembly (22) into the gas/chemical mixing agent chamber (18).
IMPROVED STATIC MIXING TIP
A static mixing tip includes a static mixer, a housing and a body. A head space is between the housing and the static mixer, a sealing lip on the base of the static mixer seals between the base of the static mixer and the housing, and a venting element is on the sealing lip of the static mixer or the housing. The venting element provides gas flow communication between sides of the sealing lip, and a gaseous connection between the head space and an exterior ambient atmosphere such that gases trapped in the head space between the housing and the static mixer can escape during normal operation and operation of the static mixing tip.
Mixer, multi-component dispenser, and method of dispensing multi-component material from a multi-component dispenser
A mixer for mixing multi-component materials includes a mixing element and an inlet. The mixing element is arranged at a longitudinal axis of the mixer for mixing multi-component materials. The inlet section is arranged at the longitudinal axis.
MONITORING METHOD AND APPLICATION DEVICE FOR A MULTI-COMPONENT VISCOUS MATERIAL
A method monitors a device for applying an at least two-component viscous material to workpieces, including a metering unit having a number of metering valves corresponding with the number of viscous material components, and a static mixer detachably secured to the metering unit for component blending. The static mixer has a material inlet facing the metering unit and a material outlet facing away from the metering unit. Each metering valve has a supply channel sealingly connectable to a valve seat for supplying the respective component to the static mixer. A number of material applications are carried out consecutively, each having an identical predetermined time between start and end of the application. During the applications, between the start and the end, at predetermined times, the pressure in at least one supply channel is measured by a pressure sensor and preferably measured in all supply channels by a respective pressure sensor.
DYNAMIC MIXER HAVING BALANCEABLE FEEDING DUCTS
