A bioprocess vessel includes a flexible bag or substantially rigid container that defines an interior volume and having a bottom surface, the bottom surface being open or containing an aperture therein for the passage of fluid. A pump is secured to the bottom surface of the flexible bag or substantially rigid container. In some embodiments is secured directly to the flexible bag or substantially rigid container. In other embodiments, the pump is secured indirectly the flexible bag or substantially rigid container using, for example, a port that extends through the aperture on the bottom surface. The port or flanged surface may also be integrated into the pump, which is secured to the vessel. An optional mixing adaptor may be provided inside the interior volume of the flexible bag or substantially rigid container and at least partially covers the inlet that leads to the pump.

The present set of embodiments relate to a system, method, and apparatus controlling a cell culture media mixing system. The control system includes an integrated control unit capable of controlling a broad ranges of peripheral devices commonly used in bioproduction through a graphical user interface displayed on a touch sensitive screen. The bioproduction system is designed to be highly customizable through process modification and recipe creation by user with little or no knowledge of programming and is capable of controlling a wide variety of devices using a single unit. The bioproduction system allows for auto-detection, auto-calibration, and automatic of device related processes into a bioproduction workflow.

The plurality of blades (46) is disposed along a circumferential direction (48) of the hub (44) and spaced apart from each other. Each of the plurality of blades (46) is coupled to at least a portion of a circumference (50) and/or a top surface (1351;1451;1551) of the hub (44). Each blade of the plurality of blades (46) includes a pressure face (52) and a suction face (54). The one or more turbulators (64) is disposed on at least a portion of the suction face (54), the pressure face (52), or both, of a blade of the plurality of blades (46).

A portion of the mixing device extends from the pliable enclosure and is adapted to be detachably coupled to a drive mechanism. A first plate is detachably secured to the rigid container. The pliable enclosure is disposed between the first plate and the support plate. A mixing arrangement includes a docking station having a drive cradle and a drive mechanism. The mixing system is removably positioned within the drive cradle so that the drive mechanism is removably coupled to the mixing device.

In addition to this process for amplification of aggregated state prion protein from native conformation prion protein, the invention relates to the aggregated state prion protein obtained by the amplification process, which aggregated state prion protein has one conformation, which is e.g. identical within one batch and reproducible between batches, e.g. as detectable by proteinase resistance in a Western blot.
