Systems and methods for moving a convertible bench between a first position, which presents a backrest, and a second position, which presents a table top, is described herein. While the described systems can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a base having a first end piece that has a first set of legs with a first arched leg support that extends between the first set of legs and a second end piece having a second set of legs with a second arched leg support that extends between the second set of legs. The bench further includes a backrest/table portion that is hingedly coupled to the base so as to be pivotable from a first position that presents a backrest to a second position that presents a table top. Systems and methods for moving a convertible bench between a first position, which presents a backrest, and a second position, which presents a table top, is described herein. The patio furniture includes multiple panels, legs, feet, and cushions that detachably attach through a series of strategically positioned pegs and hooks at their edges. These connecting pegs and hooks detachably mate with corresponding cavities and slots at the edges of the panels and the termini of the legs and feet in a sliding, friction fit locking relationship. The snap, friction-fit connectivity of the connectors can be accomplished by a non-skilled user with no tools. In this manner, the furniture assembly permits rapid assembly, disassembly, and reassembly to put together a variety of furniture configurations. The assemblage of the patio furniture requires no tools to assemble and can be carried out at a location remote from the factory where the patio furniture is manufactured.

The load-bearing beams, the seating assembly, and the seal assembly collectively define a sealable enclosure within an interior of the furniture object, such that the furniture object may hold a plurality of separate pieces of a separate furniture object within the enclosure, and the partition structure may detach from a remainder structure of the seal assembly to enable removal of the plurality of separate pieces from the enclosure through the opened aperture.

A furniture object includes a load-bearing support assembly, a seating assembly, and a seal assembly. The load-bearing support assembly may support a structural load. The load-bearing support assembly includes a plurality of load-bearing beams. The seating assembly may receive the structural load such that the seating assembly conducts the structural load to the load-bearing support assembly. The seal assembly includes a partition structure configured to define a sealable aperture into an interior of the furniture object. The load-bearing beams, the seating assembly, and the seal assembly collectively define a sealable enclosure within an interior of the furniture object, such that the furniture object may hold a plurality of separate pieces of a separate furniture object within the enclosure, and the partition structure may detach from a remainder structure of the seal assembly to enable removal of the plurality of separate pieces from the enclosure through the opened aperture.
