An apparatus for cleaning, storing or cooking items includes a housing formed by walls enclosing an internal space; at least one support arrangement removable from the housing; and at least one locking unit arranged at the support arrangement. The support arrangement includes at least one rail system having at least two rails connected together and moveable relative to each other and at least one support element. The locking unit includes at least one locking element which can be transferred between a blocking position and a free position, wherein, when the support arrangement is mounted to the housing, the locking unit is in its free state in which the locking element enables extension of the rail system. When the support arrangement is separated from the housing, the locking unit is in its blocking state in which the locking element blocks extension of the rail system with the formation of a positively locking relationship.

ANTI-DROPPING STORAGE DRAWER

An anti-dropping storage drawer (ADSD) includes a pair of side walls, a front wall, and a rear wall forming a rectangular-shaped box, a base portion, and at least one projection. The front and rear walls extend between the side walls. The base portion extends between bottom portions of the side walls and the front and rear walls. The side walls, the front and rear walls, and the base portion define a cavity. The side walls and the front and rear walls taper outward toward an opening of the cavity. The projection projects from an underside of the base portion. When the ADSD is pulled out of a slot in a storage unit and inclines forward, the projection on the underside of the base portion blocks a forward and downward movement of the ADSD out of the storage unit.

A release mechanism for a drawer slide latch may include linearly translatable elements. The linearly translatable elements may cause rotation of a lever arm used in latching one drawer slide member to another. The linearly translatable elements may be coupled to a drawer, or be a component mounted to the drawer slide, in various embodiments.

ROTATIONAL BAR FOR DRAWER SLIDE LATCH OPERATION
20210212463 · 2021-07-15 ·

A rotating bar may be used to unlatch a drawer of a cabinet. In some embodiments a drawer slide used to extendably mount the drawer within the cabinet includes a latch comprised of a tab coupled to an inner member and a catch to receive the tab on an outer member. The tab may be part of a release lever, which may be actuated by an arm coupled to the rotating bar, to release the latch.

The present invention concerns shelves (10, 20, 30, 40, 50) for changing the diaper of an infant or toddler. A shelf comprises a movable barrier (13) and a facility (18, 53) for automatically detecting a caregiver. The facility for automatically detecting is adapted to bring the movable barrier into an open state when the facility for automatically detecting detects a caregiver.

DRAWER LATCHING ASSEMBLY

An apparatus includes a coupling rod having a longitudinal axis and disposed within one or more bearing elements that laterally constrain the coupling rod while enabling axial rotation, multiple latching barbs coupled to the coupling rod, rotational force elements that apply a rotational force to the latching barbs in a latching direction and resist rotation of the latching barbs in an unlatching direction. The apparatus may be deployed in a rack system having a rack drawer. The apparatus may also include barb engagement elements for engaging and latching the latching barbs when the rack drawer is moved from an open position to a closed position. Rotation of the coupling rod in the unlatching direction unlatches the latching barbs when the rack drawer is in the closed position and enables a user to open the rack drawer. A method that uses the apparatus is also disclosed herein.

CHILD SAFETY LATCH
20210002925 · 2021-01-07 ·

The invention relates to a child safety latch for limiting movement of moveable elements, comprising a prong assembly secured to one element, and an anchor assembly secured to the other element for capturing the terminal end of said prong, said anchor assembly including a receiver to receive and capture said terminal end to stop movement relative movement of the elements by automatic engagement of the receiver of the anchor assembly with the terminal end, the prong assembly being movable by a user between a first position in which the terminal end is captured by the receiver preventing movement of one element with respect to the other element and a second position in which the terminal end is released from the receiver permitting relative movement of the respective elements. The prong is resilient and returns to the first position after release by the user such that when one element is moved back towards the other element, the latch is automatically reactivated such that subsequent movement of one element away from the other element by the specified distance will result in re-engagement of the terminal end and the receiver. The prong assembly preferably includes a strip of resilient metal, and the terminal end of the prong assembly includes an oval shaped opening which corresponds with the receiver which is in the form of a ramp shaped catch on the anchor assembly.
