Bifunctional Metal Oxides And Paraffin Isomerization Therewith
Tungstated zirconium catalysts for paraffin isomerization may comprise: a mixed metal oxide that is at least partially crystalline and comprises tungsten, zirconium, and a variable oxidation state metal selected from Fe, Mn, Co, Cu, Ce, Ni, and any combination thereof. The mixed metal oxide comprises about 5 wt. % to about 25 wt. % tungsten, about 40 wt. % to about 70 wt. % zirconium, and about 0.01 wt. % to about 5 wt. % variable oxidation state metal, each based on a total mass of the mixed metal oxide. The mixed metal oxide has a total surface area of about 50 m.sup.2/g or greater as measured according to ISO 9277, and at least one of the following: an ammonia uptake of about 0.05 to about 0.3 mmol/g as measured by temperature programmed adsorption/desorption, or a collidine uptake of about 100 μmol/g or greater as measured gravimetrically.

A catalyst composition for manufacturing a catalyst for hydrogen production based on thermochemical reaction of methanol is disclosed. The catalyst composition includes a support component and an active component. The support component includes cement and clay, wherein a weight ratio of the cement to the clay is 3/7 to 9/1. The active component includes copper oxide or a precursor of copper oxide. Based on 100 parts by weight of the support component, a content of the active component is 5 to 10 parts by weight.

The present invention relates to catalyst comprising one or more metal oxides and/or metalloid oxides and a zeolitic material having the CHA framework structure comprising YO.sub.2 and X.sub.2O.sub.3, wherein Y is a tetravalent element and X is a trivalent element, wherein the zeolitic material comprises one or more alkaline earth metals selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, and combinations of two or more thereof, and wherein the framework of the zeolitic material comprised in the catalyst contains substantially no phosphorous, as well as to a process for the preparation of a catalyst comprising one or more alkaline earth metals selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, and combinations of two or more thereof and to a catalyst obtainable therefrom. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for the conversion of oxygenates to olefins employing the inventive catalyst, as well as to the use of the inventive catalyst in specific applications.

The present invention relates to the field of catalytic cracking, and discloses a composition capable of reducing CO and NOx emissions, the preparation method and use thereof, and a fluidized catalytic cracking method. The inventive composition capable of reducing CO and NOx emissions comprises an inorganic oxide carrier, and a first metal element, optionally a second metal element, optionally a third metal element and optionally a fourth metal element supported on the inorganic oxide carrier, wherein the first metal element includes Fe and Co, and wherein the weight ratio of Fe to Co is 1:(0.1-10) on an oxide basis. The inventive composition has better hydrothermal stability and higher activity of reducing CO and NOx emissions in the flue gas from the regeneration.

Generally, it is disclosed a catalyst for use in a hydrotreating hydrocarbon feedstocks and the method of making such catalyst. It is generically provided that the catalyst comprises at least one Group VIB metal component, at least one Group VIII metal component, about (1) to (about (30) wt % C, and preferably about (1) to about (20) wt % C, and more preferably about (5) to about 15 wt % C of one or more sulfur containing organic additive and a titanium-containing carrier component, wherein the amount of the titanium component is in the range of about (3) to (about (60) wt %, expressed as an oxide (Ti0.sub.2) and based on the total weight of the catalyst. The titanium-containing carrier is formed by co-extruding or precipitating a titanium source with a Al203 precursor to form a porous support material comprising Al.sub.20.sub.3 or by impregnating a titanium source onto a porous support material comprising Al.sub.20.sub.3.
Exhaust gas purification catalyst device
The exhaust gas purification catalyst device includes an upper layer which includes first carrier particles and rhodium, and a lower layer which includes second carrier particles, and the upper layer includes a rhodium enriched area in the range a, from the upstream end in the exhaust gas flow to 50% of the upper layer length, and a range b from the upper layer top surface to 18 μm in the depth direction. The rhodium enriched area contains at least 50% and less than 100% of all the rhodium in the upper layer.

The present invention relates to a process for conveniently preparing a supported cobalt-containing Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst having improved activity and selectivity for C.sub.5+ hydrocarbons. In one aspect, the present invention provides a process for preparing a supported cobalt-containing Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst, said process comprising the steps of: (a) impregnating a support material with: i) a cobalt-containing compound and ii) acetic acid, or a manganese salt of acetic acid, in a single impregnation step to form an impregnated support material; and (b) drying and calcining the impregnated support material; wherein the support material impregnated in step (a) has not previously been modified with a source of metal other than cobalt; and wherein when the cobalt-containing compound is cobalt hydroxide, a manganese salt of acetic acid is not used in step (a) of the process.
