MEDIA PURIFICATION DEVICES HAVING INTEGRAL FLOW CONTROLLERS
A purification device is provided that includes a porous container, purification media retained in the porous container, and a flow controller integral to the porous container. A purification device is also provided that includes a porous elastic container, purification media, and a flow controller. The porous elastic container has a pocket formed therein. The purification media is compressibly retained in the porous elastic container. The flow controller is elastically retained in the pocket of the porous elastic container.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REMOVAL OF RADIONUCLIDES IN LIQUIDS
A vessel for removing radionuclides from a liquid. The vessel comprises a shielded housing comprising an outer shell and an inner shell disposed within the outer shell. The housing defines an ion exchange chamber between the inner and outer shells. The vessel also comprises an inlet fluidly coupled with the ion exchange chamber, the inlet being configured for fluid communication with a source of the liquid, and an outlet fluidly coupled with the ion exchange chamber, the outlet being configured for fluid communication with a destination of the liquid. The vessel further comprises a first fluid passage extending between an exterior of the vessel and the inner shell and a second fluid passage extending between the exterior of the vessel and the inner shell.
Composition, Method and Apparatus for Sulfite Removal from Beverages
Multipart functionalized materials are shown that remove sulfites from beverages and in particular wine. The functionalized materials consist of a solid support material having the ability to link polycarbonyls or polyamines thereto. The polycarbonyls and polyamines remove free and bound sulfites when put in contact with the beverage. The polycarbonyl and polyamine functionalized materials can be used separately or mixed together for accomplishing sulfite removal.

Method for removal of radionuclides in liquids
A vessel for treatment of radioactive liquid. The vessel comprises a shielded housing defining an ion exchange chamber therein. The ion exchange chamber is configured to receive ion exchange media in its interior between an interior top surface and an interior bottom surface. The vessel further comprises an inlet diffuser disposed in the ion exchange chamber proximate the bottom surface and an outlet collection header disposed in the ion exchange chamber proximate the top surface. Also, the vessel comprises a process inlet in fluid communication with the inlet diffuser and a process outlet in fluid communication with the outlet collection header.

SORBENT CARTRIDGE TO MEASURE SOLUTE CONCENTRATIONS
A sorbent based monitoring system for measuring the solute concentration of at least one component of a fluid. The system has a sorbent regeneration system for regeneration of the fluid and has a sorbent cartridge that has at least one material layer. The fluid is conveyed through the sorbent cartridge and contacts at least one sensor after having contacted at least one material layer.
TREATMENT OF BEVERAGES TO REDUCE THE EFFECTS OF NOXIOUS CONSTITUENTS
A method of treating an beverage, comprising exposing a beverage to an ion exchange matrix that includes a mixture of cation exchange beads and anion exchange beads each capable of binding to one or more cationic or anionic constituents present in the beverage and thereby reduce concentrations of the one or more cationic or anionic constituents in the beverage and capable of maintaining a pH of the beverage within 0.5 pH units of the beverage's pretreatment pH value. The cationic or anionic constituents have a noxious effect on humans and the cation exchange beads include a cationic mineral form and the anion exchange beads include a chloride mineral form.
