Antifouling compositions and methods
Compositions that include an ion exchange resin and a polyelectrolyte. The polyelectrolyte may be adsorbed to at least a portion of a surface of the ion exchange resin. Methods of treating a liquid with a composition, and methods of forming a composition that includes an ion exchange resin and a polyelectrolyte.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS TO REMOVE AMMONIA IN FRESHWATER AND SALTWATER FISH STORAGE SYSTEMS
Compositions, systems and methods of removing ammonia from fish storage systems are presented. A chemical water conditioner comprised of sodium formaldehyde bisulfite, cornstarch, dye and alcohol was found to have a high ammonia removal efficiency in seawater. A combination of this chemical water conditioner with modified chabazite and phosphate buffer exhibited high ammonia removal efficiency in both seawater and freshwater.
PROCESS FOR REMOVING COBALT, LEAD, CADMIUM AND CHROMIUM IONS FROM BODILY FLUIDS USING METALLATE ION EXCHANGE COMPOSITIONS
A process for removing Co.sup.2+, Pb.sup.2+, Cd.sup.2+ and Cr.sup.3+ toxins from bodily fluids is disclosed. The process involves contacting the bodily fluid with an ion exchange composition to remove the metal toxins in the bodily fluid, including blood and gastrointestinal fluid. Alternatively, blood can be contacted with a dialysis solution which is then contacted with the ion exchange composition. The ion exchange compositions are represented by the following empirical formula:
A.sub.mZr.sub.aTi.sub.bSn.sub.cM.sub.dSi.sub.xO.sub.y.
A composition comprising the above ion exchange compositions in combination with bodily fluids or dialysis solution is also disclosed. The ion exchange compositions may be supported by porous networks of biocompatible polymers such as carbohydrates or proteins.
Gamma irradiation of ion exchange resins to remove or trap halogenated impurities
A method of producing treated ion exchange resin material includes exposing an enclosed vessel containing ion exchange resin and a pre-treatment solution to high energy radiation. The treated ion exchange resin material has reduced organic impurities or total organic carbon (TOC).

Polyiodide Resin Powder for Use with Medical Devices and Personal Protective Equipment
Disclosed is a system and method of treatment which provides a direct response to the treatment of pneumonia as related to infections using a powder comprising a polyiodide resin with broad spectrum bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal properties. When the powder is applied directly to the lungs of a mammal an immediate contact kill of protozoa, bacteria, fungi and viruses that cause respiratory tract infections affecting the lungs of a mammal takes place. Also disclosed is an application of the polyiodide resin powder for use with personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to face masks, face shields, and respirators.
Ion exchange resin transporation and storage
A method of stabilizing virgin ion exchange resin material is provided. The method includes rinsing virgin ion exchange resin material with deoxygenated water, introducing the rinsed virgin ion exchange resin material into a gas impermeable vessel and hermetically sealing the vessel. A vessel containing deoxygenated water and virgin ion exchange resin material is also provided. A method of facilitating water treatment in a site in need thereof by providing the gas impermeable vessel containing virgin ion exchange resin material and residual moisture from deoxygenated water is also provided.

Processes for obtaining purified unsaturated macrocyclic compounds
A process of obtaining a purified geometric isomer of an unsaturated macrocyclic compound is disclosed herein. The process is effected by contacting an ion exchange medium comprising silver ions with a mixture comprising at least one geometric isomer of the unsaturated macrocyclic compound, to thereby obtain at least one fraction comprising the purified geometric isomer of the macrocyclic compound. A system configured for performing the process is also disclosed.
