REACTOR CASCADE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A REACTOR CASCADE

A reactor cascade for carrying out equilibrium-limited reactions, having at least two reactor units with in each case one reaction part in the form of a tubular reactor and in each case one absorption part. The reaction part has a starting product inlet and the absorption part has a starting product outlet for the discharge of excess starting products. A connecting line is provided between the starting product outlet of a first reactor unit and the starting product inlet of a second reactor unit. A pressure reduction valve for the reduction of a process pressure is provided between the first reaction unit and the second reactor unit.

A nozzle includes: a flow path allowing gas to flow; tip opening portion(s) formed on a tip side of the flow path; a base end opening portion formed on a base end side of the flow path; and side hole(s) which is formed on the base end side from the tip opening portion and allows a part of the gas flowing through the flow path to be discharged toward the base end side. The tip opening portion(s) is formed in a direction of the flow path. The side hole(s) is formed along a circumferential direction of the flow path. When the gas is supplied from the base end opening portion, a ratio (Q1a/Q1b) of a flow rate (Q1a) of the gas discharged from the tip opening portion(s) and a flow rate (Q1b) of the gas discharged from the side hole(s) is 0.05 to 0.7.

REACTOR SYSTEM FOR SATURATED C3-C6 HYDROCARBON DEHYDROGENATION

A reactor system and method for catalytic dehydrogenation of saturated C3-C6 hydrocarbons within a reactor placed within a reactor disengager, where the reactor is open at the bottom thereof and open to the disengager, and the exit riser from the reactor is not hard coupled to at least one downstream cyclone. This configuration permits controlling the amount of catalyst within the reactor by varying the level of catalyst in the reactor disengager outside the reactor and permits controlling total catalyst hold-up and/or weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) independently from catalyst flow from the catalyst regenerator.

Annular catalyst carrier container for use in a tubular reactor

A catalyst carrier for insertion in a reactor tube of a tubular reactor, said catalyst carrier comprising: a container for holding catalyst in use, said container having a bottom surface closing the container, and a top surface; a carrier outer wall extending from the bottom surface to the top surface; a seal extending from the container by a distance which extends beyond the carrier outer wall; said carrier outer wall having apertures located below the seal.

PROCESS CHAMBER WITH SIDE SUPPORT

A process chamber comprising can include a curved upper wall extending longitudinally from a first end portion of the reaction chamber to a second end portion of the reaction chamber. The process chamber can include a curved lower wall cooperating with the curved upper wall to at least partially define an internal cavity, the curved lower wall connected to the curved upper wall from the first end portion to the second end portion at a first side of the reaction chamber and at a second side of the reaction chamber. A rail can extend along an exterior surface of the process chamber from the first end portion to the second end portion, the rail disposed at or near a connection between the curved upper wall and the curved lower wall.
