The device includes at least one tray provided with a plurality of cells for the storage of the holders provided with storage housings for the holders, at least one apparatus for reading encoded data and determining data relative to the location of each holder within the receptacle, and a computerized processor for the data read and determined by the apparatus. The is a device for recognizing an empty housing within the receptacle defined by a detector for a physical characteristic of the bottom of the cell or an element secured to this bottom.
A STACK OF HISTOLOGY CASSETTES
A stack of histology cassettes configured to be inserted into a hopper of a printer, wherein each histology cassette in the stack includes a bottom face, a top face opposite the bottom face, a front face, a rear face opposite the front face, a first lateral face and a second lateral face opposite the first lateral face. The top face of the histology cassette is open to allow a sample to be received within the histology cassette. The histology cassettes have substantially the same orientation within the stack. The histology cassettes in the stack are arranged with a first histology cassette at the bottom of a stack, and each subsequent histology cassette in the stack up to a last histology cassette in the stack is arranged with its bottom face positioned on the top face of a preceding histology cassette in the stack.
Detection device, sample solution loading device, test strip loading board and test strip
A detection device, the device comprising a sample liquid bearing device (300), test strips (200), a test strips bearing plate (100) and a signal acquisition positioning assisting device, wherein the sample liquid bearing device (300) comprises two or more samples cells (320) used for containing sample liquid, each of the test strips (200) at least comprises an identity information bearing part (250), a developing part (220) and a capillary part (210), the test strip bearing plate (100) is used for placing the test strips (200) in the same circular ring in a circumferential array radial manner, and the signal acquisition positioning assisting device is arranged on the test strip bearing plate and is used for positioning the test strips.
Enclosures and corresponding magnetic joints
Enclosures and corresponding magnetic joints. An apparatus includes an enclosure. The enclosure includes a magnetic panel joint formed by: a first panel carrying a magnet and comprising a first pocket; a second panel including a second pocket; and a ferromagnetic shield coupled within the second pocket and couplable within the first pocket via the magnet.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR WETTING BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL WITH AT LEAST ONE LIQUID, AND RETAINING APPARATUS
A device for wetting biological material with at least one liquid, comprising at least one retaining device and at least suction device, wherein the retaining device serves to receive a specimen slide in a support plane, wherein the specimen slide carries the biological material, and wherein the suction device serves to suction off liquid from the retaining device, wherein a front side of the suction device does not extend parallel to the support plane. Furthermore, a retaining device for a device for wetting biological material with at least one liquid and a method for wetting biological material with at least one liquid are disclosed.
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering unit and Raman spectroscopic analysis method
A SERS unit 1A comprises a SERS element 2 having a substrate 21 and an optical function part 20 formed on the substrate 21, the optical function part 20 for generating surface-enhanced Raman scattering; a transportation board 3 supporting the SERS element 2 during transportation, the SERS element 2 being removed from the transportation board 3 upon measurement; and a holding part 4 having a pinching part 41 pinching the SERS element 2 in cooperation with the transportation board 3, and detachably holding the SERS element 2 in the transportation board 3.
Bioassay carrier and preparation thereof
Embodiments are directed towards methods and systems of depositing a uniform test-pathogen mixture onto a test article for testing the sterilization efficacy of an electromagnetic radiation or other sterilization process. The system includes a holding mechanism configured to removably secure the test article to the system. The system also includes a test-pathogen dispenser configured to uniformly deposit the test-pathogen mixture onto a reference surface of the test article. The system is structured so that at least one of the test article and the test-pathogen dispenser moves relative to the other. A plurality of test-pathogen mixture droplets or lines is deposited onto the reference surface in a predetermined test-pathogen pattern, such as, for example, a plurality of rows and columns of droplets. A distance from a dispenser tip of the test-pathogen dispenser to the reference surface of the test article may be determined to help maintain consistency between test-pathogen mixture droplets or lines.
Sample chip worktable and retainer
A retainer is placed on a retainer holding portion formed on a sample chip worktable. With an operation of a button, a take-out support mechanism operates. That is, an upthrust pin moves upward. With this process, an orientation of a sample chip stored in the retainer is changed from a horizontal orientation to an inclined orientation. A plurality of openings through which the upthrust pin passes are formed in the retainer.
Filter life indicator media and holder
A media sample holder includes a base and a plurality of retention assemblies including retaining tabs and opposing flexible release lever arms, configured to allow attachment of the base to an attachment adapter. The media sample holder can attach a media sample on or near a filter. The media sample holder held in the media sample holder can have a different removal efficiency curve than a removal efficiency curve of the filter. The media sample can be placed at or near the filter for a period of time, then tested to determine the status and/or life of the filter based on the relationship between the remaining life, exposure, or removal efficiency of the filter and the exposure or removal efficiency of the tested media sample.
BIOCHIP STORAGE WELLS
The present invention is directed to a cap for a biochip storage well. The cap comprises a resilient sealant layer capable, under the application of pressure, of forming a vapour-proof seal with a line contact interface formation extending around the perimeter of a biochip storage well.
An assay assembly comprising the cap of the invention and a biochip storage is disclosed. Methods of sealing a biochip storage well using a cap of the invention are also disclosed.
