Gene Detection Kit and Dene Detection Device
Provided are a gene detection kit and a gene detection device. The gene detection kit includes a kit body, a piston cylinder, and a piston. The kit body has an accommodating cavity and a plurality of reagent cavities. The piston cylinder is provided in the accommodating cavity, and the piston cylinder has a piston cavity. The piston is movably provided in the piston cavity along an axial direction of the piston cylinder. A first channel in communication with the piston cavity is provided on an outer circumferential surface of the piston cylinder, a plurality of second channels are provided on an inner wall of the accommodating cavity, each of the second channels is in corresponding communication with one of the reagent cavities, and the piston cylinder can move relative to the kit body, so that the plurality of second channels are alternately in communication with the first channel.
Passive sampler
A passive sampling device is provided that is comprised of a member having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface and a hole through the member extending from the first surface to the second surface. An adsorbent material is positioned between two mesh members. The adsorbent material allows for efficient and selective removal of organic molecules, such as, for example, perfluoroalkyl substances.
Sample collection system including valve and plug assemblies
A biological sample collection system can include (i) a sample collection vessel having an opening for receiving a biological sample, (ii) a selectively movable valve comprising a core and a collar disposed about the core, and (iii) a sealing cap coupled to the collar and comprising a reagent chamber for storing a measure of sample preservation reagent. The sealing cap is configured to associate—and form a fluid tight connection—with the sample collection vessel such that associating the sealing cap with the sample collection vessel causes a physical rearrangement of the core relative to the collar such that a fluid vent associated with the core is moved into fluid communication with the reagent chamber, thereby permitting sample preservation reagent to pass from the regent chamber to the sample collection vessel.
VISCOMETER AND OPERATION METHOD THEREOF
The invention provides a viscometer and an operation method thereof. The viscometer comprises a disk and at least one microfluidic structure. The microfluidic structure is embedded in the disk and has a first chamber which is connected to a second chamber. The second chamber is provided with an annular chamber along the circumferential direction of the disk and comprises at least one indicator. Overall, the present viscometer and its operation method do utilize the oscillation amplitude of pendulum motion of the indicator to calculate a viscosity value (cP) of a sample which has already existed in the second chamber.
PORTABLE GENETIC DETECTION AND ANALYSIS SYSTEM AND METHOD
A portable detector is disclosed for detecting certain analytes of interest, such as genetic material (e.g., nucleic acids). The detector includes a reading component for the detection of the analytes, and control circuitry for controlling operation of the reading component. Processing circuitry may be included to perform both primary analysis of acquired data, and where desired, secondary analysis. Where desired, some or all of the computationally intensive tasks may be off-loaded to enhance the portability and speed of the device. The device may incorporate various types of interface, technologies for reading and analysis, positioning system interfaces, and so forth. A number of exemplary use cases and methods are also disclosed.
SAMPLE MANIPULATION AND ASSAY WITH RAPID TEMPERATURE CHANGE
Among other things, the present invention is related to devices and methods of performing biological and chemical assays, particularly an easy sample manipulation and/or a rapid change or a rapid thermal cycling of a sample temperature is needed (e.g. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) for amplifying nucleic acids).
CLOSED SYSTEM CENTRIFUGE TUBE FOR PERFORMING SAMPLE TRANSFER
A closed system centrifuge tube is described and discussed herein that enables removal of waste and transfer and removal of samples via one or more ports of the centrifuge tube within the closed system, without exposing the sample to the outer environment. This may enable greater sample retention during sample processing and centrifugation of the sample.
PORTABLE DIAGNOSTIC DEVICE IN THE FORM OF A CYLINDRICAL HOUSING AND USES THEREOF
A portable diagnostic device for performing the diagnosis of pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria, microorganisms, etc., by rapidly detecting their nucleic acids in a biological sample to be tested. Also, the use of the portable diagnostic device and the methods for detection of at least one nucleic acid sequence of interest implemented with the aid of the portable diagnostic device.
IMAGING AND SEQUENCING PROTEIN-DNA INTERACTIONS IN SINGLE CELLS USING INTEGRATED MICROFLUIDICS
The present disclosure provides materials and methods for co-determining the cellular location and nucleotide sequence of a DNA that is contacted by (or in close proximity to) a protein of interest in a single cell. Thus the present disclosure provides methods and materials wherein the cellular location of the DNA comprising a DNA-binding site or otherwise in close proximity to a protein of interest is coupled to the sequence of said DNA to provide contemporaneous imaging and sequence measurement of a protein-DNA interaction.
Device and method for liquid analysis to detect biomarkers
A device enables a user to detect biomarkers, and includes an element that defines a multiplicity of microfluidic channels that communicate between an inlet duct and an outlet duct, the inlet duct communicating with an inlet port into which a user can introduce a drop of body fluid; the outlet duct communicating with an outlet port. A resilient bladder is connected to the outlet port to provide suction. Each microfluidic channel defines a reaction chamber containing a biomarker-sensitive reagent which provides a color or a change of color in the presence of a biomarker, there being a multiplicity of different biomarker-sensitive reagents, one such biomarker-sensitive reagent being provided in each of the multiplicity of different microfluidic channels. At least part of the element is transparent so the color within the reaction chamber can be seen. The device includes a cover with magnifying lenses above the reaction chambers. The device may be used in conjunction with a smart phone.
