Method and vertical mill for grinding material to be ground
A vertical mill for grinding material to be ground and a method for this are claimed, wherein the vertical mill has a grinding table and one or more grinding rollers. A ring duct with blade ring for a transport gas flow ascending around the grinding table is provided. An annular gap distance is present between a downwardly projecting oversize material cone and the upper region of the grinding rollers, through which annular gap distance a proportion of fine particles is also fed back in a recirculating manner to the grinding table. In order to overcome this disadvantage, a barrier gas flow flowing from inside to outwards is provided in the region of the gap distance, whereby the recirculation of grinding particles of a certain size can be prevented.
METHOD AND AIR-SWEPT VERTICAL MILL FOR GRINDING HOT, WET RAW MATERIAL AND ALSO CHANNEL-LIKE SEGMENT
The invention relates to a method for milling hot and wet raw materials, in particular cement clinker, in a vertical airflow mill (1), to a vertical airflow mill (1), to a device (10) for supplying cooling gas, and to corresponding channel-like segments (20). The device (10) for supplying cooling gas is configured in an annular manner about the entire circumference of the vertical airflow mill (1). Inlet (21) and outlet openings (24) for the cooling gas have an adapted surface which allows an equalization of the inflow cooling air into an increasing airflow/milling particle mixture.
Vertical pulverizing apparatus
Provided is a vertical pulverizing apparatus capable of suppressing abrasion of throat vanes (40) and elongating their abrasion resistant lives to thereby increase working efficiency. The vertical pulverizing apparatus is characterized in that: a throat (4) is provided between a housing (32) and a pulverizing table (2) and has an annular flow channel which is surrounded by a throat inner peripheral wall (41) and a throat outer peripheral wall (42) and which is partitioned by a large number of throat vanes (40); and a slope part (43a, 43b) extending diagonally downward from an inner peripheral wall surface of the housing (32) toward a top end of the throat outer peripheral wall (42) and a horizontal part (44) extending from a bottom end of the slope part (43b) continuously to the top end of the throat outer peripheral wall (42) are provided so that top end surfaces (40a) of the throat vanes (40) and a top surface of the horizontal part (44) can be set at the same height.
Pulverizer mill protection system
A system for suppressing and inhibiting fires in coal pulverizer mills can include a fire suppression solution storage tank, a flow control cabinet, an equipment control/pumping enclosure, an air distribution system, and injection piping and nozzles installed at various positions in one or more pulverizer mills. A first set of nozzle assemblies in communication with the fire suppression solution can be positioned in the mill to disperse the suppression solution within the classifier zone of the mill. A second set of nozzle assemblies in communication with the suppression solution can be positioned within the mill to disperse the suppression solution within the grinding zone. A third set of nozzle assemblies can be positioned within the primary air duct of the mill.
Apparatus and method for bulk structural modification of metallic materials at reduced temperatures
An apparatus and method of mechanical milling and grinding of various materials at temperatures ranging from sub-ambient conditions to well-below their ductile-brittle transition temperature (DBTT) are presented. In one embodiment the present invention entails the design of a cryogenic milling chamber compatible with horizontal high-energy mills. The new design and configuration of the milling vessel provides robust and efficient cryomilling of various materials with no contact between the cryogen and the powders. Some embodiments of the invention improve the heat removal rate from the non-uniform heat load generated by the impact energy deposited into the chamber wall by the milling media.
MOISTURE MANAGEMENT IN VERTICAL ROLLER MILLS
Disclosed are exemplary method and system for manufacturing cement in a vertical roller mill (VRM) using humidity sensor readings. This enables adjustment of operational variables such as material feed, water, grinding additives, air flow, temperature, and their combinations. Exemplary embodiments allow manufacturers to predict and to improve cement properties, such as strength and setting time, by monitoring and managing humidity of air in the VRM and/or its air flow system.
