DETECTING PASSING OF UNINTENDED OBJECTS THROUGH THROAT OF UNDER-SINK DISPOSAL
An under-sink disposal unit includes a motor, a disposal chamber, and a disposal throat. The disposal throat extends from the disposal chamber to an opening in a top of the disposal unit and defines a passageway through which objects pass into the disposal chamber for grinding. The disposal unit further includes a coil assembly including an arrangement of coils. The arrangement of coils is used to detect the passing of a metallic object in the passageway through the disposal throat. Furthermore, the arrangement of coils includes at least one coil having a loop that is oriented with respect to an axis of the passageway through the disposal throat such that objects passing through the disposal throat into the disposal chamber pass by and proximate to, but do not pass through, such loop. Preferably DC injection braking is used to stop the motor upon detection of a metallic object.
Cleaning and Separating Medical Waste
The present invention comprises a method of shredding treated medical waste, cleaning it of all traces of biological gunk, and sorting it into separate components for recycling. To clean biological gunk from materials, all materials must be first shredded into small parts to expose the interior. The cleaning is performed by submerging the gunk coated materials into a caustic solution that breaks down and dissolves the gunk off of the materials. The caustic solution may comprise sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, or a similar chemical, which is highly effective in producing a corrosive chemical that can break down blood, bone marrow, urine, unused medication, food waste, organs, tissues and any other biologic materials. After all of the biological material is removed from the cleaned materials, they are sorted into component materials, such as plastics, metals, rubbers, glass, etc.
Food waste disposer system and stopper for food waste disposer system
A food waste disposer system has a food waste disposer and a rechargeable power source that provides power to a motor of the food waste disposer. In an aspect, the motor is a permanent magnet DC motor having a nominal no-load speed in the range of 15,000 revolutions per minute to 30,000 revolutions per minute and the motor section includes a gear reduction mechanism. In an aspect, the food waste disposer system includes a power module that communicates wirelessly with a wireless activator. In an aspect, a stopper receivable in an inlet of the food waste disposer includes or is couplable to a power source which in an aspect is a rechargeable power source and in an aspect, is disposed in a housing of the stopper. In an aspect, the stopper includes a cord for coupling the stopper to the power source which is a source of AC power.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF CUTTING BLADES FOR INDUSTRIAL MACHINES
A means for hardfacing cutting blades used in industrial machinery by creating a channel in the surfaces of an oversize cutting blade that may be filled with hardface weld and machining the outer edge of the main body and channel to create a desired finish profile with a hardfaced edge. Such a cutting blade may additionally have fixed points of reference on the cutting blade which may be used to automate some or all of the process of creating and/or hardfacing a cutting blade to the desired profile.
Method and System for Recycling Polystyrene Waste
A mobile polystyrene foam waste recycling method and system are disclosed. The system includes a mobile housing or mobile container that houses a polystyrene foam densifying machine. The foam densifying machine reduces the size of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and PS polystyrene material into a marketable product. The mobile container includes secure access doors, electrical connections, lighting, exhaust fans, and storage bins for EPS waste. The waste recycling system provides a mobile outdoor or indoor recycling facility and collection center where EPS/PS may be recycled instead of being sent to a landfill.

Embodiments disclosed herein provide an organic matter processing apparatus and method for the use thereof to convert organic matter into a ground and desiccated product. This can be accomplished using a bucket assembly that can grind, paddle, and heat organic matter contained therein. An air treatment system is provided to treat the air interacting with the organic matter.
CRUSHING AND CARRYING APPARATUS FOR SCRAP
There is provided a scrap crushing and carrying apparatus, including: a coarse crusher for crushing scraps; a fine crusher for further crushing the scraps crushed by the coarse crusher; and a carrier for storing the scraps or carrying the scraps to the coarse crusher or the fine crusher. The carrier includes a filter unit provided inside the carrier to collect dust in the carrier.
Garbage disposal cleaning system
A garbage disposal cleaning system includes a garbage disposal that may be fluidly coupled to a drain on a sink. A scrubbing unit is removably positioned within the garbage disposal. The scrubbing unit frictionally engages the garbage disposal. The scrubbing unit contains and releases a detergent. The scrubbing unit cleans the garbage disposal when the garbage disposal is turned on. Thus, the scrubbing unit may reduce an odor relating to bacterial decay in the garbage disposal.

An impact cutter blade and holder system is disclosed. The impact cutter blade and holder system includes: a cutter disk, a plurality of impact holders, and a plurality of impact cutter blades.
