Detecting passing of unintended objects through throat of under-sink disposal
An under-sink disposal unit includes a motor, a disposal chamber, and a disposal throat. The disposal throat extends from the disposal chamber to an opening in a top of the disposal unit and defines a passageway through which objects pass into the disposal chamber for grinding. The disposal unit further includes a coil assembly including an arrangement of coils. The arrangement of coils is used to detect the passing of a metallic object in the passageway through the disposal throat. Furthermore, the arrangement of coils includes at least one coil having a loop that is oriented with respect to an axis of the passageway through the disposal throat such that objects passing through the disposal throat into the disposal chamber pass by and proximate to, but do not pass through, such loop. Preferably DC injection braking is used to stop the motor upon detection of a metallic object.
System and method for reclaiming waste carpet materials
The present invention relates generally to the reclaiming of carpet waste material. More particularly, the invention relates to a method and system for reclaiming carpet components such as yarn, tufting primary, binder, and secondary backing from post-industrial and post-consumer carpet waste in a substantially continuous flow process.
SHREDDING DEVICE FOR SHREDDING MATERIAL TO BE SHREDDED
A shredding device for use in the field of recycling and waste processing has a shredding roller having a basic roller body rotatable about an axis and a feed means for feeding material to the shredding roller, wherein shredding tools are provided on the basic roller body, which are spaced apart from one another and are arranged in rows extending in the longitudinal direction of the basic roller body and extending obliquely with respect to the longitudinal direction. A larger quantity of material is produced at the first end than at the second end of the basic roller body, wherein directly adjacent shredding tools of a row are arranged such that the shredding tool facing the second end is set back in the direction of rotation relative to the shredding tool facing the first end and/or wherein different distances are provided between directly adjacent shredding tools of a row.
Rotational Shredder
A rotational shredder apparatus suited for properly rendering sensitive material into un-recognizable and inert waste is presented. The rotational shredder apparatus consists of a twin chamber shredder with rotary mechanism, where the rotational shredder apparatus is configured to shred sensitive material into un-recognizable and inert waste. More specifically, unprocessed waste is inserted into one of the chambers. The unprocessed waste is then passed through the shredder. The rotary mechanism then flips the twin chamber shredder such that the shredded waste from the first chamber is then directed back into the shredder, where the second chamber receives the further shredded waste. This process is repeated until the sensitive material is rendered into un-recognizable and inert waste suitable for disposal.
Method for treating waste electronic substrate
A method for treating waste printed circuit board includes carbonizing waste printed circuit board together with a calcium compound at 400 C. to 600 C. in a non-oxidizing atmosphere to fix a halogen contained in the board as calcium halide and to melt a solder of the board to allow mounted parts to be easily separated from the board, performing crushing after the carbonizing, and sieving crushed materials into fine particles of less than 0.5 mm containing the calcium compounds, medium particles containing the mounted parts, and coarse particles containing board pieces such that the crushed materials are sorted into the calcium compounds, the mounted parts, and the board pieces.
Food waste disposer
Provided is a food waste disposer. The food waste disposer according to a concept of the disclosure includes: a housing; a grinding device positioned inside the housing and configured to grind food waste; and a storage device positioned below the grinding device and storing the grinded food waste, wherein the grinding device includes: a grinding case configured to grind the food waste, and including an outlet opening to transfer the food waste to the storage device; and a valve assembly positioned below the grinding case and opening and closing the outlet, the valve assembly being separable from the housing together with the grinding case.
High crushing efficiency medical waste treatment machine
A high crushing efficiency medical waste treatment machine includes a crushing cylinder, a crushing knife set provided at the bottom of the crushing cylinder, an intermittent material discharge mechanism set on one side of the crushing knife set, a pressurizing mechanism slidingly set along the axis of the crushing cylinder on the other side of the crushing knife set. The pressurizing mechanism includes a mounting frame slidingly connected to the inner wall of the crushing cylinder, the mounting frame rotatably connected to a material tumbling plate made of magnetic material; when the intermittent material discharging mechanism discharges material, the pressurizing mechanism moving in a direction close to the crushing knife set; when the intermittent material discharges mechanism stops discharging material, the material tumbling plate rotates.
CELLULOSE HYDROLYSIS APPARATUS FOR USE WITH HIGH SOLIDS LOADING
The present invention relates to an apparatus (1) for use in cellulose hydrolysis. The apparatus (1) comprises a channel (10) for guiding a stream of cellulose-containing waste in a flow direction (FD); one or more cylinder(s) (20) arranged to rotate around an axis (A), such that, when rotated, one or more side surfaces (21) of said cylinder(s) (20) exhibit a linear velocity vector orthogonal to said axis (A); and one or more complementary surfaces that face said side surfaces (21), such that, when the cylinder(s) (20) are rotated, the side surfaces (21) and complementary surfaces cooperate in grinding the waste. The present invention further proposes a respective method for cellulose hydrolysis.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SHEARING MATERIALS
A system for shearing bulk material includes a shearing cartridge with an input port and an output port. A first plurality of rotatable blades are disposed about a first shaft. A second plurality of rotatable blades is opposingly offset from the first plurality of rotatable blades.
Process of recycling a bituminous waste product such as a waste bituminous membrane product
A process of recycling a bituminous product or a bituminous membrane product contacting reinforcement layers. Collecting the waste bituminous products and sorting it in a series of waste bituminous product batches. At least one grinding step of each batch in each series forms a fine ground batch. The fine ground batch is introduced into a recycling unit wherein the fine ground batch is heated and melted and collected as a melted product. The melted product is fed into a mixing tank having a predetermined volume containing fresh carrier.
